Okay, I'm gonna talk about that Fire Emblem vs. Dynasty Warriors matchup I mentioned earlier, which would be Chrom vs. Sima Zhao. Both are the sons of high-ranking military leaders who are more laidback than their positions would imply, but Chrom's an active hothead who's more brawn than brains while Zhao is a lazy bum who shows himself to be a brilliant strategist if given the right motivation. Both also had to succeed their older siblings as leaders after their tragic deaths and had a lot of doubts about doing so, but Chrom had much more of a storybook ending than Zhao. With a setup like that, I think it's pretty clear how the fight would go. You could have a whole army battle going on in the background, maybe with some cameos from the Shepherds and the Jin officers, as the two leaders duke it out, with Zhao outwitting Chrom plenty of times but getting thrown off by the Exalt's sheer power. There's also some room to add a touch of variety to the fight thanks to Chrom's wide arsenal and the weapon-switching mechanic in later DW games. Chrom disarms Zhao, thinks he's got him on the ropes, and then BAM, he gets smacked by a horsehair whip.
Two matchups I got: - (Idea based from Smash Bracket's interpretation of Robin) "Duelists from Gentle Darkness": Judai/Jaden Yuuki (& Yubel) vs. Robin (+ all Einherjar) (Yugioh GX vs. Fire Emblem Awakening). Basically, reincarnations of beings from eras past that got corrupted and became evil for a while (Judai in Season 3, Robin in the future) but overcame this. Both also have powerful spells (or Spell cards, for Judai) at their hands and they both summon "heroes" to help them fight. - "Protectors of Time-Space": Rowan & Lianna vs. Reiji Arisu & Xiaomu (Fire Emblem vs. Namco x Capcom/Project X Zone). Pairs that not only try to protect time and space from invaders but also ally with beings that come from the craziest of worlds. Both end up fighting Gods to protect all worlds.
Something to note about characters from 3DSFE is that class changing seals can be used mid-battle in those games, which gives the likes of Chrom, Lucina, and ESPECIALLY Robin significantly larger versatility in a fight. Robin in particular theoretically has access to every class line in Awakening at all times, as well as all the skills granted by them
Honestly, i don't see the appeal for Grovyle vs Lucina, I like another matchup for Lucina that is not talked enough (and that I feel I'm the only one that wants it) Lucina (Fire Emblem Awakening) vs Future Princess (Guardian Tales) "Future Tales" They're Princess heirs to the throne from a horrible future that came to be when the hero of their world either died or disappeared from the world, leaving it unprotected from external forces. They're both sent into the past to ensure the protagonist survival while remaining hidden so they don't alter to much of the past. It is revealed that they are future versions of other characters (Baby Lucina and Little Princess) and that they had been fighting for they dying kingdoms for their entire lifes. Both had their childhoods been taken from them, making an upbeat and smiley girl into a cold and distrustful woman (it is said in her supports that Lucina was less serious before the war). Also, in both cases the player can go into the future and eventually save said future from their doom (although in the case of Guardian Tales, is part of the main story and not DLC). As a side note, both are stronly shiped with the main character (Robin and the Knight) and both are said to be one of the best girls in their franchises, both romanticly and as a unit. The conflic can also be set really easy, both can Time Travel thanks to a spell cast by an entity that can be considered a God, so the set of the fight is that both need to travel once again to the past to prevent a new treat to their worlds, but these entities can only sent one princess to the past, meaning that whoever stays behind gets their future destroyed, so they start fighting each other to claim that chance As for who wins, my bet if for the Future Princess, since she has better defense, can heal herself with her specials (wich recharges in seconds), has a magical scythe as a main weapon (and can switch to various other scythes and staffs/wands of different elements, has a motorcycle with a minigun and can create barriers/force fields with powers of her royal bloodline that are almost indestructible (it was needed a whole invader army {demonic aliens} to destroy the barriers), plus in one of her abilities she launches a spell similar to Ragnarok Omega. On a side note, even if she can't really do it, since in Guardian Tales you can put any character in the protagonist, I would love to see a scene where the future Princess weponaizes gacha by finding a box of heroes, opening it to get some help and seeing that out of the 10 heroes only 2 or 3 are 4 stars, no 5 stars and the rest are 3 stars, just to say "ugh... good enough" like in Silver vs Trunks I really wish this MU was talked more, but not many people know Guardian Tales, and the ones I know don't know about Fire Emblem, even less about Awakening. And this is one of my favorites and most wanted matchups. So... yeah.
given pokemon anime logic and in general how pokemon have been trated in past deathbattles grovyle would have access to anything he wants inventory restrictions for lords dont even apply in gameplay. convoy has no limits and lords can use it :D (yes i know some lord adjacents like lucina cant but who cares)
Little thing to note about justifying picking the popular MU for Chrom vs Morag. To quote another creator "According to the totally Legal UA-camr contract is that you're allowed to temper your blindingly hot takes with at least one Boring pick"
well the problem with TMS Tsubasa, and TMS in general is that they dont get many feats. especially not tsubasa. heck even anything medeaus related barely counts imo since in gameplay you are REQUIRED to use a specific skill at specific times or YOU FUCKING DIE that skill is basically telling naga to cast the block barrier so you dont get nuked. also because itsuki is the only one actually required in the gameplay its hard to give lore powers to anyone BUT him in temrs of actually fighting the medaeus. while everyone can itsuki is the one meant to. now alot of this part is gameplay related but the other problem with tsubasa is that the game has her so hard white mage coded that she is basically a requirement for the pure reason that SHE HAS THE GROUP HEAL and nothing else. when i played tms it was clear i need her for gorup heal, and out of the rest of the party well one was actually good. mr edgelort i have all the lore. (also mamori is literally unusable in the boss cause all he runique stuff relies on the special gauge that you have to exclusively reserve to block the insta kill) but im getting distracted back to tsubasa and why her kit sucks she has physical hits (some are effective against horse but i dont think symphogear tsubasa rides a horse) has fire, has wind, and the rest is buff debuff and healing. but with all the stuff she does have the thing she doesnt have is mp regeneration. but tms tsubasa can live a long ass time since she has diarahan, a skill in smt and tms that FULLY HEALS THE TARGET and can be cast on self. so yeah. she has alot of healing, but because shes white mage coded she lacks the skills to make her attacks actually hit strong concentrate is nice but a 2.5 multiplier for the next attack honestly might be less effective then just getting another full hp bar to play with. now i know fuck all about symphogear but i feel that sympho tsubasa at some point can just 1 shot normal tsubasa or trap her basically in a heal loop. at which point its gg.
Yeah, pretty much. That show gets into Dragon Ball levels of power at a certain point, with far more clear examples then the guessing I had to do for Tsubasa.
Odd suggestion, but how about Monika (DDLC) vs Camilla? Both being females obsessed with the game protagonists. It may seem unfair (With Camilla having strong weapons, magic, etc...), but Monika can alter the codes of a game. Making it fair, even if they deny her the ability to delete Camilla/alter Camilla's personality.

To be fair Grovyle also has an awakened state if you count Super Mystery Dungeon (and all the looplet skills and wands) since it's the same Grovyle.
You forgot one point against Martin: He's voiced by Sean Bean.
That's basically a death curse.
Oh wait, you're *right*

31:36, this seems like a very unfair fight in my opinion, I don’t think Grovyle stands a chance against Lucina
Siegfried when Ike activates Wrath + Vantage
Good to know Tsubasa would win against Tsubasa.
But seriously, I appreciate you treating Elincia like a Lord.
I may not have played the Tellius games, but even so Elincia deserves some recognition, she seems like a cool character.

So... yeah.
Im a little late but yay you actually included them! 🥺
Thank you again for listening to my suggestion
Thank *you* for the suggestion. I'm a fan of how they turned out.
9:32 I checked the Wiki and FF7 DOES have Silence as a status effect.
And it negates spells AND summons.
Thanks for the info. That just further puts things in Micaiah's favor.
@@TheHearthGuy Yeah, it's always nice when similar statuses exist in two different games, isn't it?
10:22 The matchup for Toothpaste Mc "let's run away from the first foes I face"?!
Who did you matchup that toothpaste head with? Joseph?
Guess you'll have to wait and see
But that scene is good though!
Yeah. You're right.
I’d call this the Millennium Era as opposed to the Modern Era.
46:31 That would be at LEAST *TEN*
I have been cursed with hubris.

Ike cant use alondite and it rasie def by 5 the only weapon he can rasie his magical resitence is his dads ax by 3
Upon further research, you're right. Not sure how I missed Ike not being able to use Alondite, but that's a very strange fact.

It’s “ loo-MEAN”, not “loo-min-ey”!
Pretty sure you don’t need to do this for Dimitri…
Probably not, but it'd feel weird to just leave him out. I'm sure he's got at least one other decent match up. Probably.
@@TheHearthGuy
Maybe just mention him and his recent match? I think that would be enough.
@@stevenchoza6391 Good idea. I'll likely go with that if I can't find any actual good ones.
@@TheHearthGuy Ok.
