Last weekend, Jlo, Snook Master and I linked up with Captain Bradley to do some hand line bottom fishing out in the Gulf of Paria. Our target species was Ancho or Bluefish! In Trinidad, it is highly regarded as one of the best tasting fish in our seas.
Conditions on the day turned out perfect, calm waters and decent current. We got almost constant action, but most of the fish were on the smaller side. But after switching up tactics, we were able to catch a few of the coveted species!

Kos m use a diamond jig for those blue fish. I don't know what they eat down there in trinidad but up her we kill them on diamond jigs.
I have to try some diamond jigs next time for sure! They are one of the best tasting fish down here! I think because their diet is different...They are not as oily as over there!

I try to release as much sharks as possible...They are worth more alive than dead...And I really don't fancy eating them as well...Plenty better fish!
