I have the new generation Gunslinger and not once has my leg been wet I use a lot of water because I live in the desert where there is a lot of dust and sand to wash off unless I'm doing a already maintained job
I live in north bay ontario , we have lots of shad flies once a year but this year is bad there everywhere , im going to charge extra to clean fly guts but im wondering how much to charge because i want to be fair
I bought a Samurai hip bucket a few months back, it rocks! I use mainly Wagtails, the High flyer fits great in the narrow slot. It was modded somewhat, I attached the female clip to the belt on a through nut for a swivel. The hook and loop strap was taken off, and the strap on the bucket was pulled to the shortest.
Looks great but I don't like the fact that if I want to change my setup that I would have to carry another piece with me. It should all work in one solid piece. I bought the newest Gunslinger and although I paid a pretty penny for it, it looks very durable and manageable.
Have you thought of using the Unger pro handle (it can clip on any size channel). I use it on a 20" and a 18" channel. Quick change and you can easily fit multiple channel in the bucket!
Two words, GET IT! SO WORTH THE COST! It fits a 18” ,12" HF, and a WT angle handle. I like swivel, a T nut through the female buckle attached to the work belt shortens the Samurai. The strap was made the shortest on the bucket side, if needed it can be put on the pants belt.
I like how the mop is on the outside. I wouldnt mind trying one out. I have the new generation gunslinger, and i dont know if ill ever use anything else. Looking at the samurai the only down side i can see is Plastic = bruised leg
Custodial Custodian I’ve never had a bruised leg from any BOABs have you experienced this? The awesome thing is the dry leg, people won’t believe it till they try it
what do you do to get a bruised leg? even when i had my old longer length pullex it banged yea sure but never bruised. Unless i ran with it that hurt but no tool is made to run with lol what type of work do you do?
The Samurai hip bucket is an excellent tool. It will hold anything needed. The best IMHO is holding High flyers and other combo tools. Side note a side clip did break on mine, not a big deal the insert isn't effected.
Nice Review Steve! I usually keep my excelerator/fliq in my ground bucket because I like to dunk it more often, but would be nice to keep it on me . Awesome that it doesn't wet your pants.
so im guessing the clips so you can take it off quickly to fill it in an actual bucket. but i never use mine as a "bucket" might not need the clipable?
My first BOAB was a 1 gallon metal can with the top cut off and the sides cut and bent down and then used a coat hanger to hook it on to my belt. Used it to walked across ledges up to 4 stories. Never used it on the ground. Today... we just break out the wfp and blast away.
i don't know if it's how I am trying to put it in or what. I've tried putting it into the hole in the partition in washer mode it goes in but it's really tight. I flip it into squeegee mode it won't go through the hole in the partition at all. :(
After just watching your video again I now see why my high flyer won't fit. Version 1 has two micro fiber lubrication strips on the bottom side. it has two pieces that kick out. guess ill be ordering a new high flyer. Thanks for the video
The HF will fit in the slotted insert, it may be somewhat snug in squeegee mode handle out. After a while the insert will wear so it's looser. I have an 18 and 12 HF in mine ( 18 in slot).
I did the same with the strap but the other way around. With the Velcro. Great video homie. What did you think about your squeegees staying dry man I love that. I also love the fact that I was able to use a 22 in without issue for the first time ever made me so much more efficient on my route
I am only getting a buck a pane in storefront here in Canada and trying to get price up. What are your prices like we're you are and do you have any suggestions to get prices up. I am wanting big name stores and less mom and pop shops.
Kevin Lacey are you going to vary the price on glass type? I look at a job estimate time it will take add 20% times by wanted hourly rate give quote. I do 9 hungry jacks stores, they vary beteeen 150 and 200 per shop, has them for over 2 years
...sorry but Window Cleaning Warehouse is NOT interested in this product! Do You have any private connections to the states??! I think We will have to smuggle this samurai to europe, maybe for a old bottle of scottish whiskey...., any other ideas??????????
....oh sorry, but wcw has sent me a e-mail "No we want not...", but You know good whiskey costs 200 € a bottle, and if we smuggle, maybe i will clean windows with the samurai in the jail??! Good Night from germany!
And i only have the old Unger BOAB with one single slot for my squeegee. My shirt is always wet cause i'm using a 18 inch t-bar, would be a HUGE upgrade to me cause i always try to carry a 10 inch liquidator and 14 inch unger squeege around. And as always a great Video!
Kenny Flores I have a 1st generation model and yes it leaves your leg wetter then the samurai, the samurai literally leaves your leg completely dry, I was in disbelief when I was using it
ok steve you said your leg never got wet?? look really close at the 18 second mark. the white trail off the samurai and the drips. you cant tell me your leg never got wet. oh let not mention the fact that you have the belt tilted so it drips away. in all you other video your belt is almost straight up and down. including the gunslinger. i honestly think both are great for the industry. but so far no one has gone tic for tac on either. no one will
mike Norton when I explain wet leg I’m talking about the side of my pants getting soaked from putting the mop in and out of the BOAB, my upper side of my thigh around to my butt would be soaked everyday since the day I began window cleaning especially in the winter or hot days where you need to use a lot of water. Water drips off of every BOAB on the market, nothing is perfect, but this was the first BOAB where my shorts weren’t soaked on the side of the BOAB after a few jobs. Do you really think that no water is going to come out?? Of course some water is going to trickle of the sides of the BOAB when you put your soakin wet sleeve in it, this is why we use drop clothes in homes or clean up towels on commercial jobs. The samurai left my leg drier then any BOAB I’ve used, have you tried the samurai?
I also shortened the strap by removing the buckle and attaching the Moerman belt buckle to it bringing right up to my side so it doesn’t hang, hence the title of the video, First Day with the Samurai BOAB, this was honestly the first day trying this BOAB and it was awesome!! 👍
(Attention: This note is not complete meant seriously!!!) NOT AVAILABLE IN EUROPE! IT IS A REAL AMERICAN BOAB! Hopefully if Racenstein will soon get it, Europe can have it!!! BUT WCR does not send it to Europe! So WCR is a real national guard for Samurai!!! .....Sorry, but i had to dislike Your video as a NOTE OF PROTEST!!!! This amazing product has to be for EVERY WINDOW CLEANER ON OUR PLANET! AMERICA FIRST! NO PROPLEM! but AMERICA ONLY>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>FORGET IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Im sure soon enough you will be able to get it in Europe! Just because its Made In the USA doesn't mean other countries won't get it. The US isn't North Korea ;)
Dear Steve,......äääähhhh`, not sure about it?! If something in the states is "fresh, hip, cool...", germany will get it one year later, or like GARELICK and STECCONE we never will get it !!! ...and for sure You understand a "NOTE OF PROTEST" is completely surreal stripped, it was only a joke!!! ( to write all the time "lol" is mostly boring) ALL THE BEST to "BRONCO-Country"!
Looks like you did dislike the video so I said that. Not cool disliking videos if you did, someone did. No biggie but maybe the people disliking these will get the message.
Great to see two window cleaning pros (Richie and Jared) make innovative improvements to an important but long overlooked tool of the trade.
Been using the Samurai for a few months now and love it!!
Front facing mop is a must to keep your leg dry!
awesome video Steve o !
Luke The Window Cleaner thanks buddy!!
I apologize if you already answered this but do you have a preference between the Samurai and the Gunslinger?
I have the new generation Gunslinger and not once has my leg been wet I use a lot of water because I live in the desert where there is a lot of dust and sand to wash off unless I'm doing a already maintained job
Superb Window Cleaning well I haven’t tried the new generation gunslinger so I’ll just have to wait and see if that day comes...
I live in north bay ontario , we have lots of shad flies once a year but this year is bad there everywhere , im going to charge extra to clean fly guts but im wondering how much to charge because i want to be fair
How your sponge still wet
Do you put water inside thr boab?!
I use a highly absorbent microfiber scrubber which is this one windowcleaner.com/ettore-complete-pro-microfiber-stripwashers?pt=MY
Good video Steveo. I'm glad you liked it!
Thanks Jared!! GREAT JOB ON THE SAMURAI!!
👀👀👀
i had high hopes, but i couldn't make the gunslinger work for me. is there any issue with a 8/10" squeegee staying locked in the slots in the samurai?
Yo stevo o how do you avoid getting streaks after each straight pull down without wiping the squegee off each time?
I bought a Samurai hip bucket a few months back, it rocks! I use mainly Wagtails, the High flyer fits great in the narrow slot. It was modded somewhat, I attached the female clip to the belt on a through nut for a swivel. The hook and loop strap was taken off, and the strap on the bucket was pulled to the shortest.
One clip did break, no biggie still works. samurai may replace it if they're asked politely.
Looks great but I don't like the fact that if I want to change my setup that I would have to carry another piece with me. It should all work in one solid piece. I bought the newest Gunslinger and although I paid a pretty penny for it, it looks very durable and manageable.
Jorge Chavez totally understandable, you’ve gotta use whatever will work best for you and your business!
I use the gunslinger and samurai 😉😉
Have the other insert in your parts box in the truck. I only use the wide slot insert, there are two alternatives are in the parts box.
Have you thought of using the Unger pro handle (it can clip on any size channel). I use it on a 20" and a 18" channel. Quick change and you can easily fit multiple channel in the bucket!

The Samurai hip bucket is an excellent tool. It will hold anything needed. The best IMHO is holding High flyers and other combo tools. Side note a side clip did break on mine, not a big deal the insert isn't effected.
The strap with buckle can be shortened much, and still have quick release.
can this strap really hold on to the belt if you will have bob filled in with tools?
Nice Review Steve! I usually keep my excelerator/fliq in my ground bucket because I like to dunk it more often, but would be nice to keep it on me . Awesome that it doesn't wet your pants.
Keith T. Thanks Keith!! It is nice not having the wet leg!!
so im guessing the clips so you can take it off quickly to fill it in an actual bucket. but i never use mine as a "bucket" might not need the clipable?
It's a highly modular system, how you want to use it is your choice.
My first BOAB was a 1 gallon metal can with the top cut off and the sides cut and bent down and then used a coat hanger to hook it on to my belt. Used it to walked across ledges up to 4 stories. Never used it on the ground. Today... we just break out the wfp and blast away.
I really like BOABs for me they make life easy, but I love me some WFP as well
Wow so great. Loved it. Nice job....
Man my high flyer won’t fit in my samurai. I have a version 1 high flyer. Other than that . It’s great. I will make a video as well.
Jacob Williams really ? I found that the high flyer fit really well
i don't know if it's how I am trying to put it in or what. I've tried putting it into the hole in the partition in washer mode it goes in but it's really tight. I flip it into squeegee mode it won't go through the hole in the partition at all. :(

It was all awesome, having a dry pant leg was the nicest thing though to me!! hope your doing well!!
SteveO The Window Cleaner for sure Man. naw killing it here man. I know you are too its getting hotter then hell tho.
So wot one to get this or the gunslinger
Its really just personal preference, I have both and really enjoy both all of them. They are both totally different but achieve the same thing
do you have a gunslinger to compare it to ?
Dave Landefeld The Window Licker yes I do, an early model, both great products but the dry leg was huge for me!
Great video thanks! How do we enter the contest? Was anyone else thinking MOAB?
Check out the gleam contest in the description of the video
Whats the name of that boabs again
USA all the way
I am only getting a buck a pane in storefront here in Canada and trying to get price up. What are your prices like we're you are and do you have any suggestions to get prices up. I am wanting big name stores and less mom and pop shops.
Kevin Lacey storefronts will always be cheap wor, no to little barriers to entry too much supply
A buck inside and out or for a side?
Per side, want to get mcd's don't know want to quote per pane per side
Kevin Lacey are you going to vary the price on glass type? I look at a job estimate time it will take add 20% times by wanted hourly rate give quote. I do 9 hungry jacks stores, they vary beteeen 150 and 200 per shop, has them for over 2 years
1 loonie being .75 saw bucks, so you would need 2.65 per window to equal our 2.00 USD per window. Maybe you can try 2.50 and see what they say.
Hi Steve, great review. Is that a Razr Red Rubber in the Excelerator?
No its wagtail rubber
Nice review! Have fun on vacation!
Thank you Zac
Looks really good are they will be for sale in uk
...sorry but Window Cleaning Warehouse is NOT interested in this product! Do You have any private connections to the states??! I think We will have to smuggle this samurai to europe, maybe for a old bottle of scottish whiskey...., any other ideas??????????
Last time I talked to window cleaning warehouse they were interested in carrying it. Windows 101 in Europe as well. I hope to get it over there!
If that will happen it will be amazing
Samurai for whiskey ok
....oh sorry, but wcw has sent me a e-mail "No we want not...", but You know good whiskey costs 200 € a bottle, and if we smuggle, maybe i will clean windows with the samurai in the jail??! Good Night from germany!

Robin B. I fixed that issue with $20 on boots at 1 hours time to construct ua-cam.com/video/yZ36xXz2Y2U/v-deo.html
This BOAB literally keeps your leg and shirt dry lol I couldn't believe it
Love the video. Thanks for the review.
Thank you Kevin!!!
Boom🤙🏼
Window Joe 👀👀👀👀👀
I notice that boab moves around to much and bends while you poling
There's no way in hell you didn't leave streaks on those pole pull downs...
The music could be turned down somewhat, please.
Apologies, Ive tried to get better at audio in my more recent videos
@@SteveOthewindowcleaner still great tips and techniques.
Does the Gunslinger really still give you wet leg?
Kenny Flores I have a 1st generation model and yes it leaves your leg wetter then the samurai, the samurai literally leaves your leg completely dry, I was in disbelief when I was using it
