She is a LEGEND! Even after such a long career she was still able to surprise herself with the Oscar nominated You Haven’t Seen the Last of Me from her movie Burlesque. She didn’t think she could hit the power notes but equally legendary song writer Diane Warren did and the result is her best ever vocal performance full of passion. There is an official music video from the movie, love to see you react to full on vocal Diva Cher. Saw her in Vegas twice, first time was so good we had to go back & get much better seats. She is the definition of “it factor” and “presence”. When Cher arrives she is the only thing anyone notices.

Cher is absolutely amazing live! I did see her in concert in Florida a few years back. Stunning, amazing, a legend no words can describe how talented she really is. I had chills the entire time. I am a huge fan of Cher.

You should Adam Lambert cover this at the Kennedy Center Honors program when she was inducted. Brought Cher to tears

Cher as hadacareer almost as any as70 years. At first it was Sonny and Cher. But thru those years cervwas not always a confident person. The acting field chewed actresses up and spit them out. But Cher even tho very successful didnt feel right abut herself. But i personally believed in Cher. I believed that she had so much talent that she didn’t need to lean on others that she had to creat her own future and that would bring the work to her. This was proof. Se recorded this and left it with the producer. He put the effects on t known as auto tune. Chers song was the first auto tuned song. But, as you see better than todaysmusc. The producer didn’t like it but callled her in to hear it. She heard it ad told hi to release it with no changes. Now Cher is now fr the person who created auto tune but if you notice it was done perfectly.

Now you really need to watch Adam Lambert sing this to Cher at The Kennedy Center Honors. He changed the arrangement of the song. The song has a different feel and meaning the way he sings it. He brought Cher to tears and she liked it so much she gave him permission to record his version. It's absolutely beautiful and it got me on the Adam Lambert train. He is also the front man for Queen now for over 10 years and has a successful solo career as well. Adam actually sang his version for the first time during Hollywood week at American Idol in 2009.

I can see that you like this song Stan. On the UK X Factor, Ella Henderson did a very good version of Believe, but she sang it as a great ballad. And while I am on emotional songs, please try Emeli Sande and "Read All About It"

Even though autotune was used, it was used in a way to enhance the song, not in the way it's used today, which is to make people who can't sing sound good.

True. I think auto tune was fairly new at that time and I remember hearing that she was the first artists to use it for this purpose; to make the song sound "spacey", "dreamy", "techno" or whatever you want to call it. She certainly didn't need auto tune for her regular voice and otherwise did not use it.

@@jerickson725 if I remember rightly it had been around for a few years, but it had been used more with instrument recordings rather than voice recordings, and the producer was just messing around with a few ideas and tried it, but wasn't too sure about it, Cher heard it and loved it.

@@davebirch1976 I'm sure you are remembering correctly. A few years is what I consider to be still fairly new", probably because I'm old 😂 But I do hate that many people incorrectly interpret her use of auto tune in this song and say things like "Cher was the first to use auto tune for her voice and ruined the industry". Indicating she couldn't sing well without and blame her for starting the trend of how it's used now, for artists that truly need some tweaking for their less than perfect vocals..

Here’s the link for Cher’s career best You Haven’t Seen the Last of Me. She’s won an Oscar as an actress, would have been nice for her song to have won as well. ua-cam.com/video/LD7UtPtyuV8/v-deo.html
