I made four crosses this spring for my families for Easter using the pull through method with shelf liner. I used your tips for the florals and they turned out beautifully. I have seen the mesh secured with cable ties. More expensive but rust free. Pipe cleaners have metal centres and can go rusty over .
I have used both, it depends on the method I use but I am a huge fan of zip ties too 😉👌

What is the dimension of the shelf liner? I think my dollar tree has a diff size cause I can't get a my pieces pretty roll. And mine has a cardboard center which makes it harder to cut in 6 in pieces
My text messed up I don't get as many pieces per roll as you do so my shelf liner must be a diff size.

What about those forks from the hardware store that hold tarps down or Christmas decor in place? for the top I would attach a wire and tie that down with one of those too. Hope this helped Vicki 🤗
Just looking at the cross and wondering how did you get your deco mesh so straight and it looks great and not all frayed.? The dollar tree's mesh is so frayed on the edges?
Our deco mesh from the dollar tree doesnt look as nice as yours.

That wide mesh...results in too much fru fru, i.e. overly decorated.
