Very cool looking gun. The reason that it's not classified as a MG is because it fires from two separate barrels and it utilizes two separate hammers/firing pins.
You may be a nerd (like myself) but you are resourceful nerd who puts his talents to use in multiple impressive hobbies/careers. You're a well rounded individual I must say.
I love weird guns. The most oddball thing I have now is a Beretta 8045 and I'm about to sell it. I like to acquire strange and unusual firearms, put a few or a few hundred rounds through them, and then sell or trade just for the experience. Gotta keep it fresh and keep it moving. Always a pleasure! You are a weird fellow!
Love your videos good sir. You provide can good reviews on shit I like and your vlogs are always fun to watch. I know you said you're all booked out in your shop but I would love to travel there one day for some ink. Keep up the hard work!
It’s multiple functions because it’s 2 rounds out of 2 separate complete actions/barrels. They say it’s “volley fire” it isn’t multiple rounds fired with one trigger pull out of one action. Like the goofy Gilboa double barrel AR.
it looked like there was maybe a hold position on the trigger pull, right before it fires, like a compound bow. can you pull to that point and is there a "flat" spot near the end, so you could prestage if you wanted to/could?
Even though it is an old gun it really would be awesome if you did a video on your 357 COP. There are very few videos of this gun on y tube and I know your would do a brilliant review on it . 🙏
From what I understand it's not a machine gun because as legally defined a machine gun continues to fire while holding down the trigger. This fires both rounds simultaneously, and not due to holding down the trigger.
This gets by on the same classification as the double barrel 1911s and ars, namely it's a volley gun. The definition according to the standard manufacturing rep at shot show is a gun that fires multiple rounds from multiple chambers with a single trigger pull. I do know the ars and 1911s I've seen have two separate triggers so this might be a special case because it's a manual action non autoloader. We all know the ATF rules subjectively though so it wouldn't surprise me if everyone is told to give 'em up in a couple months like the stupid franklin straight rifled thing.
Remember binary triggers; in which the initial standard trigger pull, past the take up and break fires one round but also on the opposing axis while releasing the trigger and passing the same break it would fire a second round before returning the trigger to the resting position. Guess its in the same ballpark. But bumpstock bad amirite
Tbh the Heizer is a bad ass pocket rocket 🚀 I’ve never seen one in my life up until just now. I hope you have a video on it if not can you please make one? I’d love to learn more about it.
Cool `lil review... i don't think this gun is a winner but hopefully the idea will be transformed into something better over time! I`ve been loving the lcr in 22mag, i call it the 'midnight snacker' `cuz its so light weight you can tuck it into boxer~briefs with a pocket holster, no need to get dressed in full tacticool gear, for a midnight sandwich!
I believe it’s more of a “granny gun” in the same vein as a SCCY. Super simple and the double trigger thing is probably meant to help assist a shooter with poor grip strength (arthritis?). Kind of novel and super niche.
"The .22 Magnum is a rifle cartridge that performs poorly (inefficiently) in very short barrels. In short (snubby) barrel .22 handguns, the .22 Magnum cartridge typically drives the same weight 40 grain bullet less than 100 fps faster than the .22 LR out of the same effective barrel length. What you really get is a lot more noise, blast, and recoil. The ammo is also about 4X more expensive than inexpensive .22 LR."
Evening buddy, thats dinky love it. Still couldn't have it in England. You should show your supports, what we have to use to pass as a hand gun. They will piss themselves 😁. ATB Andy 🇬🇧
I think the way Standard Mfg. gets around the potential NFA violation (I agree with you, fuck the NFA and Hughes Amendment, abolish the ATF or at least make them have to go through due process to pass legislation instead of being a rogue agency, if anyone needs to be regulating alcohol and tobacco, let the USDA do it) is by having two barrels firing one shot each with one trigger pull. If it had one trigger, one barrel and somehow managed to send 2 rounds of .22 WMR down the barrel, then it'd be classified as a Machine Gun. Probably not a gun I would ever consider buying, kinda outside my scope of guns I'm interested in, and the lack of trigger guard puts me off too. Like you said, it is one trigger no matter how you cut it, they could have just nixxed the double trigger and closed the "trigger guard". Still, great video, I love watching what you put out, Sean.
I had a problem getting used to the whole 2 fingers as well sean ;) Realistically it's a cool range toy I guess, but the "not an MG" claim does sketch me out a bit. Great idea for a defense weapon against squirrel and maybe coyote as well!
A single .22 magnum from a very short barrel is very loud. Two at the same time? Also, the magnum in a short barrel doesn't give a great deal better ballistics than standard .22 long rifle. I don't see the purpose other than a curiosity.
Due to the fact that it doesn't continue to fire until the entire cylinder is empty with one function of the trigger. Either way this pistol is definitely an odd one.
It’s a cool novelty and would be an interesting conversation piece but that’s about it. I’m not sure what this firearm is intended for. There’s nothing that this thing does that another handgun doesn’t do better.
Yeah. It's allowed because it has two barrels, i.e. gattling gun. And please make videos about lasers. That would be awesome. And they wouldn't get demonitized by you know who?
Sean Havok yeah not sure if you saw the shot Vid, individual barrel and chamber for each round, makes this not a machine gun. So if you had a gatling gun, that shot 1 round from each barrel(6 total) with a single trigger pull, not a machine gun. But I bet ATF would put boot in mouth and not approve that for civs.
@@FrankThaThird that's an awfully interesting concept, with a multi barreled revolving Cannon like that, if what you're saying is true. I can imagine someone making a cluster of eight, and getting a nice even bursts with every trigger pull. Probably would need to be electrically rotated, but if that is in fact legal that's a tremendous loophole....
@@FrankThaThird okay, fair point about word choice. On the other hand, you do know exactly what I mean. And to be perfectly honest, loophole isn't necessarily wrong. Because while it may be perfectly within the letter of the law, it obviously is a glitch or unintended result of the spirit of the law, which is also an important legal principle. Hence "loophole"
I do it twice. I've "cleared" a chamber with the mag still in which just reloads another round. Almost pulled the trigger to release the sear when I noticed the mag was still in. Took the mag out and "cleared" the pistol again. That's why I always check twice now even with the mag out. Eight times though? That's ridiculous. Take mag out, clear chamber, recheck to make sure it's clear, pull trigger to dry fire.
@@jakeunkn0wn625 I'm not upset, just thought it was overkill to safety check a firearm 8 times. You said it was sarcasm and blame me for not getting it, but you literally said "literally". That's all.

This is the kind of gun, Mr. Ian would talk about on Forgotten Weapons.
Not classified as machine gun because it has individual chambers/barrels only shooting 1 round. Its called "volley fire," which apparently is legal.

Thoughts on the wwsd2020 rifles/lowers? possible video about them when they are released?
"Tada, we're done" Made me laugh harder than I should be willing to admit to.
I like it. I like its simplicity, you grab it and pull the lever. Great to fend off an attacker, one bullet for each testicle.

I checked one out at my local gun store and they were asking a little over $400.

Why do they make .22 Mag super short barrel revolvers? ...for the huge powder flash as the excess powder burns outside the barrel?
