Grip strength has never been one of Hafthors main strengths. I don't remember what happened, but early on in his career, something happened that permanently took away much of the grip strength in one of his hands. He has been compensating for that ever since. At least that is what I have been told.

@@HeitorGiacomini actually if you have longer arms, the columns are going to be leaning a bit more, that means you have more momentum to contrast because the weight of the columns is placed more far away. Think of it this way, if the columns were like an inch off the ground or if they were almost perfectly vertical, that would make a huge difference wouldnt it?

I think they can keep the same angle for all athlets just adjusting the chains length

@@augustodance it is not just about the angle and the effective force on the athlete but also the muscle group involved.
Look at the stances of both the athletes, for Felix, the chain is almost at shoulder height, I am pretty sure both athletes have very different muscles getting used in this competetion. This round doesn't seem fair at all.

While what Felix has achieved is absolutely remarkable. I feel because of Hafthor's height and long arms, the pillars end up leaning more than usual making it difficult for him.
I doubt Hafthor could have broken Felix's record had he been shorter but his score of 55 is pretty damn amazing too.

Quelqu'un de petite taille et avec les bras courts entraînerait que les colonnes soient quasiment à la verticale et pourrait rester des heures en faisant très peu d'efforts. Ce test de force devrait être supprimé car on y est plus ou moins favorisé et donc pas à armes égales.
