I do blogging on various topics and right now i'm covering garage related subjects, I found this so i'm including it in my blog entry. Links back to your vid and page are included, thanks for the review.
Thanks for the review Mike. I have a Handy lift that’s tied up on a long term Ducati Bevel restoration, so looking to buy something smaller for the lighter bikes that is easy to pack away when not in use. Thanks again.
Excellent video, great detail. I was thinking of this brand since I can stand it up, who has extra room in their garage?! I will probably buy a full table after this review so I appreciate your effort here!
Sure am enjoying your channel content , you have a wonderful motorcycle . I love the TnT 1130 , and thanks for the strap suggestion loosening on lowering on the Kenda lift , I'm thinking about getting one .
Thx Mike, good review of nice lift. I was looking for something like this to lift my MG California Stone or Norge 1200...this lift can make life easer :-)...
Excellent. TY nothing better than a straight forward review pointing out pros and cons. I have really been thinking hard on this lift for my HD. Just about sold now ... Don't think I am going to be able to push it up onto as easily as you did your Benelli tho Mike !
Well I am sold an want/need ASAP BUT, no luck getting one. Kendon is a vendor for this China manufactured product and have ZERO in stock and NONE in the pipeline. WTF ... Maybe by the end of the year is what I was told. HELLO, it's riding season NOW Kendon. What a terrible company.
@hdmw232 Thanks for that. Moving into a larger space with room for a full size lift. Hope the one you went with serves you well. Kendon shouldn't advertise what they don't have.
Of course we all like that it folds up, but not being able to service anything on the front end is a pretty huge limitation. head lift and paddock stands are really cheap and stable, but you need a wider tray for those to work. Overall, I think this would be disappointing. The height when lowered also seems like it might be larger than most other lifts, so it would be a little harder to roll something up on. Kind of explains why every other lift has the nice wide platform, I guess.
Mike, I'm deciding between the Harbor Freight and Kendon lifts. I've read and watched many reviews of both those lifts. Your review of the Kendon lift is the most informative I've seen. QUESTIONS: What is the outside width of the ground-contact points at the front and rear? What is the height of the table when it's in the maximum locked position? Some reviewers have said that the release cable is problematic (e.g., not smooth); have you had any problems? Reasonably good side-to-side stability when raised? Thanks
Hi Joel, the contact points front and rear are both around 23" apart. The maximum working height of the table is 32", though I've never needed to raise it that far. The stability is good, I've never had any issues with a bike wanting to rock left or right when raised. Of course that assumes that it is tied down properly. You are right about the release cable. It can be a bit sticky at times but I've got used to it and it doesn't worry me that much.
Mike, Thanks for the quick reply. I found a Kendon CruiserLift (1000# capacity) being used on the sales floor at a Victory dealer. Same contact-point width (23") as yours. A difference from your model is that the front tie-down loops are attached to the rail. They do not move when the lift is raised. FWIW. Most Harley dealers near my home (Elgin IL USA) use Handy lift tables in their service areas. I measured one. The contact-point width is 21-22". The table is 24" wide.
Fixing the front tie-down points is a big improvement. It's hard to tell from their web site if that applies to the whole range or just the bigger models.
Being able to park it out of the way is a great feature but the table's too narrow and short for my tastes. I would prefer somthing you could rest a few tools and a drip tray on.
hello sorry to bother my name is Victor, I live in Brazil and I'm going to go to Australia in October 2019. more precisely to Sydney, I'm a motorcycle workshop manager here in Brazil, with a vast experience in the field and knowledge of the mechanical part as well. could you help me with any indication so that I can do a video call interview? Thank you and sorry, sorry for bothering you.
how do you perform front and rear wheel service for a sport bike on this type of lift? I have no means of supporting the bike from overhead nor using a scissor jack since the exhaust runs underneath. thanks for the informative video.
With difficulty! Wheel removal on sports bikes with no clear jacking points underneath is the one big negative for this lift. The only solution would be to fabricate a custom support of some kind.
Great review. To the point and informative. Keep up the great work!
I just purchased the 2019 model works really great

@@4paulseyes I've been waiting a year now on new stock. Gave up & purchased one similar from Machinery House..

I have the cruiser model absolutely brilliant
Sadly the moto center stand if so equipped cannot be utilized on this lift - would make for enormously easier front end dissembling.

Great internet content! It looks extremely expert! Sustain the good job!

There is a clip on tool tray and an oil drain pan available from the manufacturer if you need it.

It better be good kendon is my name
Omg the matc
for rear wheel only service you would be better off hitting harbor freight and pickup up a cheap life that goes under the middle of the bike
It's made in China!
What a waste of money
