Oh my gracious those are elegant and beautiful! Not a sewer so never even knew there was such thing as a bias maker apparatus! Great to know!! Another great video Mark! I just can’t get enough of you’re videos!! Thank you!!
Mark, those shades came out so gorgeous! Never would it have occurred to me to use the striped fabric to trim and accent the lampshades! I certainly need to step out of my comfort zone because I love the contrast! Also, as always, I enjoy the history you include along with your projects! Thank you!
Hey Nancy, you can use hot glue and it's actually fine. Modern mass manufactured lampshade makers use hot glue 99.9% of the time. I like both but this glue is awesome!
Oh, I have the perfect lampshade for this! I’ve been wanting to replace it for a while because I’m not a fan of the color, and now I don’t have to buy a new one. I’m excited to give it a makeover!
Just GORGEOUS! GORGEOUS! Mark . ❤️❤️them 👍 I’m Certainly going to try this ! I’ve got Sooo many shades to practice on . Thank you for sharing. And have a blessed day 🤗
That is such a great idea I haven’t got new lampshades or lamps yet from my bedroom but going to a thrift store would be really good you brought a tear to Mayeye when I seen your blue glass stuff because my brother that passed away a while back just to collect that stuff take care of yourself God bless and have a amazing day
I have some “80s” drapery fabric gifted to me by my aunt. Well, I actually have TONS. Some is very sheer. I think you have given me a good use for that fabric!!! Thank you!
Is that a William Morris print ? Gorgeous, and Yes the contrasting trim is pure perfection, I keep saying you out-did yourself, and you throw more fanciful projects at us...you are a blessing sweet Mark XOX
The fabric is called Fantasia by Mulberry and I love it! Since it's a new house I'm going all out! www.decoratorsbest.com/products/mulberry-fantasia-teal-fabric?gclid=Cj0KCQiA95aRBhCsARIsAC2xvfy-xIOnccYDBprywgKCwiI6HjAHTvFxRCirjDzeiqd56JL2Ha8LXiwaAoadEALw_wcB
Those lampshades are lovely!!! The fabric is beautiful! Love the colors!!! Love that there is an E6000 fabric glue!!! Yeah bby, I'm all in!!! Lol! This is definitely one of your best! Happy ALMOST SPRING!!!!! Much love and big fat hugs!!! 🍃🤗😍🍃
Hi Mark! I have two lampshades that are in need of a makeover. I have the supplies and your video so there is no excuse to get to work! Thank you for sharing your amazing talent!

I love recovering lampshades and you inspire me to keep trying new and improved ways to cover them. I've been using a glue gun (which can get messy as you know), but I will probably try using the glue now that I've seen how awesome this one looks.
This is a great project for a quick and easy "refresh" of your home. I definitely need to pick up some of the E6000 Fabri-Fuse! Thanks for sharing this idea!! :)
Hi Mark 👋, It's been awhile and I missed your posts. This is a beautiful and great idea 💡 as I have a few plain jane white 😎 shades that I'd love to redo. They are just gorgeous 😍 ❤ 💕
I love this fabric! Love my lampshades, too! *Find me on Patreon if you have a second. No pressure, just lots of things I don't share anywhere else. www.patreon.com/MarkMontano
I think by now I should have bought one of your books because I keep seeing things I never heard of like that bias trim maker. I've tried to cover a lampshade with a napkin and mod podge and it just wrinkled and tour so that lampshade is still waiting for a remodel
Hi Mark! What dramatic lampshades. Wouldn’t you know it? I don’t actually own a bias maker. I like these shades so much better than the basket style shades that are so in vogue right now. I finally saw a version I could tolerate last week --a basket shade over a classic globe shade. Ha! Basket shades need to be layered for me. I don’t like it when I can see the bulb; the glare issue is secondary to the aesthetics. I actually do have a pair of lamps in need of a makeover. Fun fabric and a new paint job would do.
Mark I love covering lamp shades yours came out gorguss!! I would loveit if you visit my crafty channel sometime and see what I'm up to ; )) stay safe, God Bless, and see ya on your next project, rosanne xoxoxoxo
One and done. Yours was the first and only video I watched and have complete faith I can make my lampshades look 100% better. Thanks!
Makes me very glad to hear! Thanks Christopher!
a no sew project, I love it and I've been wanting to redo some of my lampshades so this is perfect. thank you for such a great tutorial.
You are so welcome! Makes such a difference to cover your own lampshades!
Oh my gracious those are elegant and beautiful! Not a sewer so never even knew there was such thing as a bias maker apparatus! Great to know!! Another great video Mark! I just can’t get enough of you’re videos!! Thank you!!
It's an awesome tool and they come in many different sizes!

I love using contrasting patterns in home decor! Glad you like these Debee!
I love this idea and that it was not done with hot glue. Thanks Mark, the finished product looks great!
Hey Nancy, you can use hot glue and it's actually fine. Modern mass manufactured lampshade makers use hot glue 99.9% of the time. I like both but this glue is awesome!
What a fabulous piece of art. WOW!!! Just look at the shades. Thanks for sharing. As always stay safe and healthy.😀😍✨🎉🎊
Thanks Ruby! I try not to have white shades in the house...I love a covered lampshade!
So used to seeing plain beige boring lamp shades, but these lampshades are ever so pretty. The green print is lovely.
Thanks Brooklyn! So great to see you this morning!
OMGosh, this is my favorite idea ever! They are gorgeous, I just made a macrame land shade that I duped from Anthropologie. Now, next room is this!

Hi Mark! Nice to see you again! Love this project and that fabric you used was beautiful! Have a great week!
Always great to see you Cyndie! Big hugs and have a wonderful night!
Great job, Mark! The fabric is really pretty! It reminds me of medieval tapestries.
I thought that when I bought it. I love this fabric!
Hi Mark! Love that fabric. Both pieces. Very pretty and smart looking.
❤️💜💚
I really love that fabric, too Paige! It's a heavy printed linen from Mulberry called Fantasia.
So pretty! I think when my lampshades finally look shabby I am I am going to do this!
The perfect way to give them a new life Michelle!
These are great. Love the fabric you chose. You have such a great eye for color and pattern mixing. These are super elegant yet fun.

Wow, thank you so much Giuliana! Very nice of you to say!
The striped bias binding addition to that fabric ( pattern right way up too, I noticed😅) is absolute genius, not to mention the glu idea.❤
Glad it was helpful Jennifer! Have a terrific day!

Very nice! Lampshades are easier than one would think! Thanks, Mark!
They really are and they make such a difference in a room, too! Boring white shades just aren't for me.
I love recovering lampshades and you inspire me to keep trying new and improved ways to cover them. I've been using a glue gun (which can get messy as you know), but I will probably try using the glue now that I've seen how awesome this one looks.
I think both work well depending on what you're doing. Glue sticks from a hot glue gun bond the fabric together nicely.
Fantastic lamp shade makeover Mark. Thanks for sharing. ❤❤❤
My pleasure! I'm renovating my house now and when you can't find something just right, you have to make it!
Hey Mark. These are really cool. And, of course, I love the pattern mix!

Hello , mr Beautiful idea 🌷
Many many thanks Anna!
Would you show how to make Tiffany style lamp shade? But not if fabric. I’ve been looking to replace a broken Tiffany style lamp shade.
I'm not so great with stained glass, but I may run across something!
Thank you for another great idea. Now where did I put that old shade? Lol

Hi! Late to this party, but loved this! Do you remember the name of the fabric ... can you share? Can't wait to try your ideas!!
Hi Connie, It's called Fantasia from Mulberry. Here's a link: www.etoffe.com/us/furnishing-fabrics/25181-fantasia-fabric-mulberry.html
❤
Thanks Grace!
Something else I can paint on with acrylic paint: lamp shades.
Yes!
Hey! I've got one of your Big Ass Books!
I'm so glad! They were really fun to write!
😍 Swoon!!! Who makes this fabric please.
It's a heavy printed linen from Mulberry called Fantasia. Not sure if they still make it but you can find it.
Which website I can find fabric for shade?
I use thrift store lampshades. Or, use your existing shades that need a makeover.
I love the fabrics used but I don’t like that the fabric wasn’t wrapped around the edges.
Tell ya what...you can wrap the fabric around your edges.
❤❤❤❤
Thanks Cindy!
