Hey Chef Zee. Iam Puerto Rican 🇵🇷 but when it comes to Oxtail's you know what your doing. I have 2 friends. Jamaican and Dominican. And they both brought me Oxtail's and asked me. Which Oxtail's are better? The Jamaican Oxtail's where delicious. But hands down the Dominican was superior. I went to a Dominican Restaurant in the lower east side in Manhattan New York called, Castillo de Jagua 2. I always loved there Oxtail's but yours again was superior. I went to puerto rico to see my family and I made your Oxtail's and my family went crazy Lol😆. They made the tostones and they brought some aguacate mantequilla. I know you know what avocado 🥑 I'm talking about. But Thank You so much for this recipe. God Bless Those Hands Of Yours.
I just made this recipe... and let me tell you it’s freaking amazing. I did not add tomato paste ( father doesn’t like it ) and near the end I added a bit of cayenne and red pepper flakes .... it’s so flavorful and VERY TENDER. This was my first time making ox tail ever ! So thank you 🙏🏾

Just made this for tonight’s dinner following your recipe. My first time EVER making oxtails and I surprised myself... it came out AMAZING! I did add just a pinch of cinnamon which my Puerto Rican Godmother said is her secret ingredient when it comes to her oxtails. I found it weird at first, I wonder how many other people actually do that.. but I trusted her because her oxtails are the best! Damn girl, this was AMAZING!!! I marinated for 12 hours, cooked for 2 on the stove in a covered cast iron pot. Skipped the last step and still came out great. I video chatted my mom to show her (we're Dominican) and she was amazed. I told her about you and gave you total credit.
Love Rabooooo. I love making Oxtails with Bolitas de Platano, Jamaican/Puerto Rican Style. I season my oxtails with Jamaican Spices and Molasses for that rich dark color. My Sofrito is Spicy though. Great, now I'm hungry now... ha

I love oxtails I make them once in a while but with brown sauce which comes from soy or worcestershire sauce along with gravy master browning as my wife loves it like that. Next time I'm definitely making it with tomato sauce.

So I saw this video a few weeks ago and just know I’ve never ate Rabo or been interested in rabo lol but after watching video, the next super market run included rabo! Lol I was like omg this is the most expensive meat I’ve ever purchased this better be good! Lol I seasoned it for a day. And today, I really don’t feel like being hours by the stove :/ so I called my aunt and asked her how long to put this in the olla de presión. She said half hour, then guisarlo. It’s in the pressure cooker now, once that’s done I’m going to continue your steps in the video.
After the half hour I took it out and followed your video gave it color and all that other stuff and then I said let me taste this...... 😳 OHHH...... M...... GEEE I was like what the heck have I been missing out LOL. This definitely will be in my rotation!!! It tastes soooo good!!!! Thank you for this!!

I use black pepper, orrgano, salt, sason goya, vinegar, hot sauce, beef flavor, sason goya con culantro y achote, cilantro, onions and pepper and sugar. Watch you water, its better to add little by little because water is flavor worst nightmare

@@Chefzeecooks That’s what my African friends do. Use the blender to blend their hot peppers, garlic, ginger, onions, tomatoes etc for their dishes and it’s really good!
Ok, so I made something using your ingredients, mostly. I used different peppers though. I did about 8 red chili peppers, 6 ancho peppers, and 6 guajillo peppers (all dried). I did not marinade and braise. I had already had the oxtails in water by the time I seen this video. I roasted all the vegetables on a skillet, plus a couple tomatoes and everything went in a food processor with just enough cooking water to cover the oxtails. First time making oxtails. Very meaty, more so than expected!! I can't wait to try again with your version more completely!!
Esther Leonard use a pressure cooker it be done whiting 1 hour and half plus it’s better with beer and cooking wine no water at all.And if you PuertoRican sofrito the sky is the limit how good it will taste plus remember the adobó salt and pepper and you can add any ingredients you like
Took me 3 times to get it right ! BUT TONIGHT I FINALLY GOT IT ! Twice I put in the the instant pot and I didn’t like it but my family did I think the instant pot gives it a strange taste. Not today I did it on the stove and OMG SERIOUSLY SO GOOD SO SO GOOD ! Only thing different I did I add sorfito to it.

I never had oxtail being puertorican until yesterday when I went to a Domi/Rican Restaurant, I had Arroz con gandules and the oxtail it was good

I like to braise mine in the skillet then transfer everything to a slow cooker for about 4-5 hours.

In Brazil, where I am from, we also add watercress to oxtail by the end of the cooking process and it adds a fragrant, rich flavor !
