Ty, I usually do my oxtail in the crock pot. Do you think it would be ok to do the prep/searing etc then use the crock pot for the long cook? I’m going to try it. I have some oxtail in the freezer waiting for me to cook.

I made this but as the oxtails were cooking I tasted the gravy and felt I needed more seasonings. So I added some garlic and onion powder, salt and pepper along with Jamaican Choice oxtails seasoning. I also added carrots and butter beans. Instead of the wine I added beef broth. The gravy is AAAHHHMAZING!!!

I’ve learned recently, within the past 2 years, your cast irons and Dutch ovens and pretty much your pots and pans are what’s going to make your life so much easier when you’re cooking.
I’m an Over The Road Truck Driver and every time I’m in Lebanon, MO and I pass the outlet that they have, I can’t remember the name of it (exit 127 off the I44), I always stop in there, and spend $200-$300 on cast irons and Dutch Ovens and things for my kitchen I swear.
My wife hates it, but when I come home and I throw down in the kitchen, she loves it.
