Loved this video, it is just all so natural, and you put lots of interesting snippets in, Winnie is adorable, you can see how much love you have for each other ❤
It was lovely to meet you at the show Molly! Your squirrel is looking amazing. We're still deciding where to put our prints because I want to see them every day!!
Haha thank you Robert! I was pretty surprised by my squirrel drawing... I suddenly thought... maybe all this sketching is paying off (but then I really struggled with the sparrows afterwards 🙈)
Thank you Molly, that was a great video of how it is for an exhibitor at a fair. I agree about how tiring it is and how difficult it is to be engaging with customers all the time. Cards definitely make a big part of takings don't they! You've reminded me that I must crack on with making more stuff for my 3 day stall at FolkEast in August!
Oh good luck with your show prep! Yes cards are great to sit alongside higher price items for sure! And yep talking to people all day is hard work but worth it for the great conversations 🥰
Lovely market, and your table looked fantastic! Shame you couldn't bring Winnie but I guess it would be too much for her as well :) Great idea with the ipads too! Yep, I totally missed the Aurora here as well and I even said to my husband while the sun was setting to look at the beautiful colour of the clouds... 😂 but slept right through it... Good luck on your next market!!!
Thank you so much! Winnie has come to the show with me before but yes she gets a bit anxious and also distracts the customers away from my art 🤣🙈 sorry you missed it too, one day we’ll have another chance 🤞
Very interesting indeed, thank you. And point about buying cards has been noted 😊 I'm fascinated again by your engraving. Do you engrave the fine detail by eye inside and around your drawing or do you add more drawing detail as you go? I'm thinking in particular about the seeds in the container.
Yes honestly it’s not always about money, if you’re having a quiet show a £3 sale can really give you a boost and help you to feel less invisible! So I only really do the roughest outline I can manage with a pen and then all the details, seeds etc I do with the engraving tool and no sketch 👌
Wow, that's even more impressive. You must have great confidence to see where your marks need to be working like that. Or perhaps that's the most natural way for you? Love your work and generosity in what you share.
@@emte98 I’m much more confident with my engraving tools than I am with a pen or pencil so I guess it feels most natural for me to just engrave without a detailed sketch ✨🥰
Loved this. What a long day! Your work is exquisite. Love your wildlife-friendly garden too, looks so peaceful and pretty.
Such a long day! I was pleased when this show was over to be honest 😅 thank you!

Aw thank you! Yes Winnie and I are very attached for sure, she’s the best dog I could have wished for ✨
Great presentation! Your work is beautiful 🤩
Thank you so much!
Super interesting video. Glad I could be there from the other side of the world. Happy anniversary too!
Oh I’m glad you found it interesting! Thank you, 14 years - time has flown!

Oh it was so lovely to meet you both Natalie! Do let me know how you get on with your lino printing! Thank you for your support!
The squirrel block is stunning, Molly can draw. I'm looking forward to seeing it printed.

Thanks for taking us along to the show... that was interesting. I can't wait to see the squirrel print! It looks great in process.
Thank you so much! I’m worried it’ll be one of those blocks that looks good on the wood but bad when printed but fingers crossed that isn’t the case!

Thank you! I’m so pleased you enjoyed watching, and sorry you missed them to - next time 🤞🤞🤞
I used to get taken to Bovey Tracey EVERY summer holiday by my parents when I was a kid! 😊
Oh really! Well you must have visited Hay Tor a good few times then!

Many thanks for taking the time to reply - I'm just very interested in people's processes and how they all differ. Thanks.
@@emte98 no worries at all! It’s interesting how each artist has their preferred way for making for sure!
I wonder when you do all this, lots of beautiful prints, framing, films, podcast, festivals… Your days must have more hours! 😂🤭
Haha I don’t really take much time off, it’s not very healthy but I think it’s a product of my obsessive personality 😅🙈
Mini cheaders are better than regular size cheaders, in my opinion. They fit great in a sandwich and are just somehow nicer.
Good point! And they're less greasy I think BUT you get more for your money with the bigger ones 😅
@mollylemonart I sometimes use the big cheaders as a sandwich, wee bit of cream cheese and sweet chilli sauce, great!😅
