    One the street, 706/862 heads should be on every LS, I wouldn't hesitate to run them on a 6.2, the 78/75, S475/480/488 is going to present the power ceiling along with the fuel system as long as you are using Ethanol. Cam doesn't matter much, might as well go huge and go with an intake that kills some tq if you're not using a TBSS...get wacky out there...3 455 pumps, 160 or 210lb injectors.

    Next time use mineral spirits instead of water. It's thinner than water and has less surface tension, which allows it to leak past smaller imperfections than water.

      I actually set the head upright on something, spray in the ports and let it soak for a bit. if that doesn't leak thru, nothing will.

    What do you do about the LS3 chamber being wider than the bore of the block. The air coming into the chamber then hitting the ledge of the bore on the 4 inchbore is not good. I bevel the block but it would be better to jog the head about 0.35.what do you say.

      You do nothing. Those heads were assembled to the LY6 block from the factory.
      Sloppy Mechanics aren't fixated about insignificant things.

      @@1stamendmentsupporter a mismatch between the chamber and cylinder on the chamber side is insignificant. That could cause the 3/8 inch boil at high lift

      There is still potential of a slight pressure drop using only the orings

      @@Rhett.Castillo It's a precision o-ring seal, it shouldn't leak at 50-100PSI unless the o-rings are wasted.

      @@johnnicol8598 We've been press fitting dowels into cast iron for centuries and rarely is there ever an use. Judging by the size of the hammer and the amount of swing, he's not going to hurt anything.
