Das Lubemeister 5000 is 🏆 badass. I thought the gear oil in Capri Sun bags was the ticket. I stand corrected. I would definitely purchase one. It would also be killer for filling transmissions.
Definitely a cool tool, sure beats stabbing a hole in the bottle and stuffing a blow gun in it to get it going... I took an old walboro 255 and made a few attachments to screw onto Trans fluid, gear oil bottles, and a few hoses draining and refilling fuel tanks. A couple leads to a jump box and you're good to go. Try it out, another tool that's a game changer
I was disappointed you didn’t go over setting up the gears, but I guess with used gears you kinda have to wing it a bit. That bump looks amazing, jaw dropped when I saw the speed
Lol 125 in second. Just tried a 4.44 and a 24inch tire and it was lethal on 5 pounds 87 tune... Now got a 28 inch tire to try. Then might go to a 4.1 rear gear..
Lots of thought went into that problem! 😅 The mechanism in the cap isn't exactly a regulator, but it does pop off around 10psi to try and safely vent excess pressure. If you hit it with straight 150psi, you'll surely pop the bottle or the inlet hose! A regulator is a must for shop air, but a slower source like a tire inflator or bicycle pump works great with no extras needed! The other key is the outlet hose diameter is pretty large, and the air hits a significant restriction as it enters the bottle to try and reduce the chance for over-pressurization.
No way he was able to just slam those in there and get a good pattern - there's that pesky crush sleeve (unless he's running a 9" eliminator setup) and typically you have to play with the shimming of the carrier and pinion. Sometimes you can get lucky with stock gearing, which I'm sure this was, but dang, it's not something to just slap together and run. This is all from doing gears for rock crawling stuff - I imagine we're just as hard on gears as the drag folks.
I just thought it would have been good to see, cause that’s what I thought I would see due to the title. Whether he slapped it together or did everything right I would have liked to have seen it. Matt does an awesome job always. Thanks Matt for what you do put out there.

That pump looks handy I always spill it
Buy the gear oil in the bag!! Best idea ever!! Very easy to use no mess, no pump needed!!!

I was skeptical but that’s pretty bad ass. The pump thing. Nice work homie.

What a genius invention! So simple.

Ah yes, a sloppy video is never complete without the cricket
I’m ordering that tool !!
Thats awesome!
that thing is awesome! gonna order one for the shop. 👍 ....where's the weep hole on your cover...?
😆😆😆"sounds like a Theo Von story..." had me rolling.
I've also been punched in the head by a drive shaft😂😂😂😂
Sloppy hand is back! Got to get one. Swapping gear is a lost art these days
That f-ing cricket!
idk if its intentional or not but the hand fucking cracks me up everytime
Nice pumpage

Sprinkle cinnamon around for crickets
Works a treat...
Matt what cricket?
Ok now I'm wondering what the burst pressure of the bottle is!?
Hahahah
Sooooo those bottles are only good for about 5 psi... Lol.
Ask me how I know. I was waiting for the bang lmao.
The cap has a spring it so it probably regulates the pressure
It does he’s smart !!

Anyway to get a video of swapping gears and set up?

Search my videos I did a 8.8 gear install in my bare feet that you can actually see
