By now most reefers in the reef aquarium hobby has heard of Andrew Sandler and his famous 17000 gallon reef tank. I was lucky enough to be able to visit in person and witness the pinnacle of what is possible with an obsessive pursue of perfection and a very generous budget. It was even more ridiculous than I had thought.
Please, enjoy the video, and I hope it brings another angle to Andrew's reefs, as well as all the stuff that he and his teams are doing behind the scene for the community! Thank you Andrew, Rachid, Dun, Jared, and the rest of the Polo Reef Team for allowing us to visit, and the help with putting this video together!

Every single video about Andrew Sandler fascinates me. I love to hear that he is giving back to the eduction side of the marine world. Trying to create a real impact for the next generations. That is certainly something to be celebrated and commended.
PoloReef philanthropy is something beautiful that we need more of!
Him and his brother Adam Sandler are truly influential.
Andrew is definitely an inspiration to many out there. His tanks are amazing & awe inspiring. Thanks for the tour Mok-yi
this guy with that shining a powerful laser at a fish can cause blindness...
So nice man, great video my friend 😍👍🏻 thanks for the tour!
Thanks buddy, sorry to call you out like that in the beginning! 😂 Your GERMAN REEF TANKS series have been an inspiration!
Why the sorry, it was a honor for me 🙏♥️
Andrew is such an amazing fella. His tanks pretty ok too 😂 such an amazing treat! Thanks for sharing it with us!
Great conversation!
Andrew's passion is amazing
It really shows through all his tanks.
Thanks for bringing this through your perspective. 👏🏻🙌🏼🙏
Definitely supporting! 12:35
Awesome video mate, just what I wanted to see! The actual tank! The amazing fish and corals . You captured it perfectly.
What a man! Thanks for making the hobby better and helping kids.
That's an awesome dream tank. One day when I win the billion dollar lottery I will have one of my own 😂
Hahahah you know its serious when the guy has a laser pointer 😂
Cheers. Great work
Awesome video as usual 👌
Amazing the tank is this big and fish still beat each other up.
Swing by my small apartment next 😂
A lot of content has been done on the tank, this one I really like since the focus has been more on the fish.
Thanks Terry! There were a lot more to cover but ultimately having the kids along took away too much time! 😅
Ahh, finally! A tank big enough for a single betta.
He's got the biggest...now we wanna see the smallest. Get Andrew one of those micro reef tanks and set it up next to this beast! Great vid!
This video is going to be awesome 🏆
Amazing tank! Thank you Andrew Sandler for generously sharing your tank to be appreciated by people all across the world.
Question: how does Andrew handle clean up crew invertebrates? Does he have snails in his tank? Or is it not possible to have snails in a tanks his size -- just thinking about the difficulties of removing decomposing shells! Does he rely on the tangs alone?
this tank is going to be insane in 1 year from now.. like insane.
Truly amazing looking tanks. 👍🏾
He’s living my dream 🥲
He called it a “tank” 😂😂
First time I've ever seen a laser pointer incorporated into a fish room tour
LOLL, I was slightly surprised when the green pointer suddenly appeared... but then appreciated how well it worked versus trying to verbally describe where that fish is in relation to another fish or coral. 😂
@@InappropriateReefer it makes total sense to use it.
Andrew Sandler is absolutely amazing very cool what he is doing wish I had a marine class at my school because I think it would benefit a lot but instead I’m just a freshman that has tanks at my house lol 😂
I think most people would trade any amount of $$$ for a chance to be young again with infinite possibilities! Enjoy your journey and make choices that you won't regret!
Love your 1776 shirt 👍🏻
That Symphyllia in the “mushroom tank” is my favorite 🤙🥰
That master deshy 19:40, are quite common here in aus where their collected, definitely not cheap but almost every lfs has some of the same grade seen here
You guys get all the cool stuff!
@@InappropriateReefer you should come visit one day!
Cool vidéo tanks
Amazing🍻
Beautiful dog s
11:30 kids don’t need college when they could be a famous UA-cam star like their dad!! 👌🔥🔥🥰😂😉
LOL here I am debating Taco Bell or MickyD dollar meal for dinner...
@@InappropriateReefer that’s coz u have corals tho 😉😂
The size of those fish are just crazy
8:09 to 8:22 Epic piece of video! Nice video… 👍
Dont call us shirley
Nice video
I can watch 1,000 different videos on this massive tank.
Are you going to do other people's tanks as well ?
Wow 😮 😮 👏 👏
Incredible... wonderful !
I wonder how much the maintenance costs
$40,000 a month without factoring in the staffs 😮
One of the absolute best videos from Andrews place. Seeing that tank is on the top of my bucket list!!!!!
Ooooooooooooo , papa aperture is gonna be pissed
I don't know what you're talking about 😂
What kind of fish was the one that had like blue over eyes and looks like a yellow tang?? I think it was a yellow and white tang
Where did you get your yellow gloves ?
How often and how do yo do water changes that amount lol
Are they the same a the freshwater flag tails
I noticed a lot of the tangs had beat up fins.. what’s going on with that
Tangs are literally impossible to care for. And no size tank will really help. Tangs are a species that to be honest don't belong in any aquarium. They swim fast all day. They should stay in the ocean.
Would you be willing to make an axolotl tank for "make a wish"?
Andrew in New York Polo Reef
Hey I'm beginning to build a 10 gallon salt water tank and I don't know much about salt water requirements for fish so please tell me what are the requirements. I am planning to use Instant ocean sea salt
In jesus name I will become this succfull 💪
$15000 to $20000 a pop lol not really reachable to the average fish keeper. Money well spent though amazing tanks and collection of fish..
👃 💰 🤑 🤮
It must be nice to be rich and have a team taking care of a gigantic tank to show off… at that point it’s not a hobby it’s just a rich guy showing off
Dude knows his stuff, don’t think it’s fair to not call it a hobby just because it’s on such a big scale. Do you expect him alone to care for the tank?
I mean, it’s clearly still a hobby for him.
Actually he is very passionate about this. And who cares? This is actually something cool. At least it's not some stupid celebrity winning the Super Bowl or buying some overpriced car.
Tired of polo reef. Sooo many polo videos out there. Love your channel.
Constant creepy promo of this guy....is he paying for everyone's flights with his personal jet from being a theiving hedge fund manager? All a sudden he wants YT money too....all the FORCED collabs are nauseating
Haterrrrssss.😂
Same
Totally understand the fatigue and I was initially slightly hesitant because I wasn't sure if I could bring something new from the visit. Ultimately I am very glad that I did as there were a lot of things _still_ not covered, and the team seems to genuinely be a force of good in the hobby & the local community. I think once we all finally moved beyond the amazing huge tank, there are treasure troves of amazing contents. For example, each of those rare fish deserves their own video, there are tons of interesting history and stories attaached. I hope more future videos will cover that aspects of Polo Reef's collection, as well as all the not-yet-mentioned outreach that they're doing.
PS - I am not sure how it is with other content creators, but for me, I just received an invite to check out Andrew's tanks so I drove up and checked out his systems like visiting a fellow hobbyist. No mention of money, private jet transport or anything. Just in case this matters!
PS - thanks for the love ;-)
How do you catch a fish in those tank?
19th time it's been posted. sorry mate.
Wish we could know what Jake Adams would have to say about this setup... 🥲
