The kids were really excited about these. We probably should have chilled them first, but it was a fun experiment. They sure look cool, don't they?! If I had to describe them taste-wise, I would say they are a lot like a honeydew with a hint of the muskiness of a cantaloupe.
If this was the first tasting of this fruit, it wasn't a good idea to serve it on ice cream. The sweetness of the ice cream will dominate the sweetness of the melon.
That was such an enjoyable video, I was thinking about buying some tiger melon seeds. I stumbled across your video researching. One of the nicest videos I’ve seen on UA-cam, your kids were very good at describing the new melon. Thank you so much I look forward to growing them
You should sell seeds. I would imagine ten percent of the people watching this video would buy the seeds. I would buy some from you. Thanks, love your video.
I have a question for you: this spring and summer, I'm going to be growing some tiger melons and kajari melons. There's room in my greenhouse for one of them, but the other will have to go in my regular garden. I live in Southeastern michigan. Which one should go in the greenhouse and which one in the garden? The one in the greenhouse will also grow on a trellis while the one in the garden won't.
I live in the UK, and i imagine it would be too cold to grow these outside(?) Would I better growing them in my greenhouse from a compost bag? Thankyou x
Did they come with the name ‘Tigger Melons’ or did you name them that because they’re orange when ripe? I ask because I have a ‘volunteer’ melon vine of some sort that’s come up around some other climbing plants in my garden that looks a lot like that. But I’ve seen another that is called ‘Queen Anne’s Pocket Melon,’ but it’s seems smaller than yours. I guess I’ll find out when it starts to ripen.
Isabella & Jaidyns Garden Adventures He was the most enthusiastic of the bunch. We don't have any growing this year so far, but I wonder what his thougts would be now.
I had a bunch of them, This is the first year I grew them, They are OK. But I really don't care for them, I did saved the seeds. My Banana mellons did do so well. But was able to save the seeds try them again next year. I also have casaba melon seeds for next year. Even if they aren't as sweet asw I like they are fun to grow
