I am a 5th Grade teacher and especially see many of my 5th Grade Boys struggling... I have so many that can relate to you, Lewis. Have you ever thought about writing a smaller chapter book (autobiography) that would be more attuned to a 5th Grade Boy? I think it would be great! Something we could use for SEL in class and give to struggling students and students who have internal family struggles? Just a thought! I find you so inspirational and want my kids to hear you, but sometimes it's a little too grown up for the little ones. I would use your story in class if you wanted to do that!

I’m Mexican and I LOVE it when Non-Mexican people speak Spanish, love the culture, respect it and embrace it. It makes me so proud of my solid root that I feel very lucky to have so good for you Lewis!

When I identify myself as Venezuelan and they hear my accent, it’s ok, but I don’t do that anymore. If I say United States citizen, I might get complimented on my Spanish, but some, they pull back. I feel it. I spent a lot of years in Caracas before everything went down the hole of communist dicKtatorship. Sometimes I dream of getting a tattoo of Venezuela where my heart is. Thank you to those who allow us to use our Spanish!

I wish Gabriel can give himself all the love he has in his huge heart, that he enjoys his freedom, that he travels, that he starts taking care of his heart, body and soul. He deserves so much joy!
He is the best, humble, honest, respectful, generous and very funny! He's the only one who can talk about different ethnicities without offending them.
I tryed last year so I'm throwing it out there again fluffyyy!!!!! Can I get some tickets my birthday is 20th of may I want to see you in concert I just can't afford them please please I'll work for them❤
He talks about all ethnicities equally. And he does so with humor and laughter.
When Gabriel said, "Nothing comes quick that is worth anything.", it really hit home for me for it was an example of how much I have struggled throughout life. And, that quote also showed that at 47 Gabriel still respects and honors the struggle when moving through life.
I never felt enough either and was always a people pleaser until i reached the age 39 - present. Learning and growing and starting to love me for first.
Here at 45 learning about it on theraphy and still on the process
The verbiage in this post is EXACTLY how I say it in my head. At 58 I finally love me and I’m healing from my childhood trauma. 🙏🏾❤
After 27 and a bad relationship. I hit a pretty low point in my life.
I smoked weed one night and got super high, but through that I got my epiphany. I finally realized how am I supposed help others if I can't help myself first. Up to that point I thought I was unloveable, then I realized how am I supposed to love someone else when I can't love myself first.
Always take care of your needs first. You can't help others if you can't help yourself first. The way I put it nowadays is, how do you take care of someone else when you yourself are sick. You need to take care of your needs first before helping/loving others.
You are Kenough. Lame joke aside, kudos on your journey.
I feel sad to know i wasted all those years feeling like that only into my 40’s i realize what really matters.
I love how Lewis has been an absolute gentleman, w grace, attention, listening to his guests, not interrupting while they’re speaking or divert from topic, sharing his experience and just being present for them, no drama.. excellent interview 👏👏👏👏👏👏

And it's also the fact that we live in a narcissistic society, everyone is okay with getting from you, but not willing to give to you, when you are "giving", so it's a learning part on ourselves too, even when it hurts not to give, because then we keep feeding on the narcissism
Sadly there are too many that take advantage of it.

Gosh, his friends need to be sitting and listening to this and giving him the encouragement he needs just as he's asked for!! Good friends do keep you accountable. Thanks for sharing Gabriel, people need to feel comfortable talking about the challenges in life, so they can hold peace and all of life's hardships in their heart at the one time, these emotions are beyond words.

Fluffy is the 1st stand up comedian that I actually enjoy immensely and is the first comedian to really really make me laugh. That's not an easy thing as I don't generally let myself feel too much to the best of my ability. But I actually can relate to many of the things he puts out. I love that he did this talk. Mental health is such a huge part of life and not many people are willing to talk about it. Thank you for this and thank you Fluffy for being real and showing others that life can be comedic.

I was raised to be a people pleaser and I’ve been to therapy about it. Still have issues with mean, narcissistic individuals because I’m not one and trying to move past them (cause I work with them) is tough. Still looking for complete inner peace.
Fluffy, I lost my bff after 23 years. She was like a sister and we did everything together. She chose to leave the relationship because I “didn’t understand her anymore.” Hurt like hell for years, but I discovered that forgiving and moving on and thinking about my own well-being was more important. “Cleaning house” does help. Wish you nothing but the best always because I use your videos to get me through MY tough times. Unity through laughter always!❤

Gabriel your authenticity is inspiring! I was struck deeply by the comment about being to comfortable. My physical body is very similar to yours and I to know that changing some habits would help me feel better in my skin. But I don’t do those things because they are uncomfortable and because I don’t want to do them alone. How can we make being healthy as much fun as eating donuts?? Losing weight goes best by just going out for a walk regularly. Slowly increasing the distance. I come at 20km weekly and that lost more than 50kg.

I love you Gabriel, I saw your show when you came to Lynden,Washington fair. You were the biggest act to hit the stage. I took my little Mexican mama and she loved it. It was extra special for us because you were my baby sisters favorite. Sha passed away before being able to see you on stage. So the whole family went in memorial of my sister. She was in her 40s when she passed 8 years ago but she's always my baby sister. ❤
My daughters father died very unexpectedly 9years ago, when she was only 5 years old. Gabriel's comedy helped me to laugh and get in a better head space so I could care for both of my kids. Ill always appreciate that.

we get to see GABRIEL, not Fluffy, we see GABRIEL.
The human side, the emotional side, the vulnerable side. People tend to hype up celebrities and well known people and put them on pedestals to make you feel they are untouchable but Gabriel has for YEARS always put himself at level with everyone else. I know he is no fool in knowing how well know he is BUT he doesn't let that get to his head.
Thank you for this video cause when it comes to stars, we don't hear alot of about their own mental health and the fact you were able to tap into area he probably hasn't talked about in YEARS, show the tenderness and heart you have for people.

I met Fluffy at the Ontario Improv back in 2009-2010ish I think and this was before he blew up on the comedy scene and became a Netflix regular. He's one of the nicest people I've ever met and after his show, he went outside to hang out with everyone. Thank you for sharing this interview ❤🙏🏻

It’s so heartwarming to hear that someone famous and inspiring like Gabriel have had the same struggles like oneself and that I’m not alone.
I also was/still working on my people pleasing tendencies and that I had struggled with the guilt feeling so I stayed in a relationship that I wasn’t happy in for 5 years until finally 6 months ago something changed inside me and I started to put myself first! And it has been a bliss since 😇😊

I've been watching Gabriel since before the onset of his 'career'. Weight up weight down, seen him in person and up close talked to him, had a picture taken with him in Florida a very sweet personable young man, about 12 years ago now. Looks like the struggle with weight has returned. I pray he has not had any additional health issues confront him that caused that. Too many Great Comics have lost their lives due to health issues. I'm pretty sure those that adore him and his genius as a comedian want him with us for many years to come❤

Really enjoyed this. What came across to me, in my opinion, is that Gabriel has really struggled with issues from childhood. Father not being around, can cause a child to blame self, and to seek love, approval, (laughter) from others. Over eating, drinking too much too often as a coping mechanism to handle emotions and feelings can come from not learning healthy ways to handle emotions and feelings. I hope he finds peace and healing. He has made me smile and laugh and enjoy life many times.
I love the fact that you opened up this much. You put yourself at a vulnerable Spot, gives motivation that it's ok not to be ok. How we can do better from here. Thanks a lot for sharing it. This is a big help. Lots of love to you fluffy.
