Is our Universe all there is or do we live in a Multiverse?

Not in the sense of string theory, but more radically, I have no reason to believe reality has to be describable all in just one "framework", so why not, it seems reasonable to me. Let there be an infinity of universes.

I think it will be cool if we ever start to actually be able to find things like that out. I'm rooting for us to do it for sure! Brian, your awesome! I really like who you are and the world is a better place with you in it.

I do not think our physical, noticeable universe is all there is. Instead, I see it as a compartment within reality itself, which includes additional dimensions and possibly more compartments. This is not exactly the same as believing in a multiverse.

This theory explains how the big bang and the photons from the Cosmic Microwave Background Radiation can represent the beginning of our time line within a dynamic infinite Universe. And how the cosmological arrow of time with the Universe expanding from the big bang into the future is based on the same geometrical process that forms the concept of time that we have in our everyday life.

Dr. Keating....There was a "big bang" when I dropped the pot lid on the marble floor just now. Did that act spawn a new universe I wonder? Thanks for your great video presentations. Cheers

I learned from a great philosopher and teacher this very simple edict. If it happened once it can happen again.
Also, it wasn't A big bang, there was a big bang and it's still going on, it has not stopped banging.
We are just a part of the pattern, way out on the end of a spiral arm of the pattern. In an average size galaxy, according to what we can see.
We, our special place and privileges in the pattern is to be able to recognize it and share our knowledge and love with our family, friends, neighbors, and the universe itself.

Eric lerner says in his book" the big bang never happened", the universe is nothing more than a cosmic energy grid, I believe as he does, the universe extends to infinity, and has always been in existance, no big bang, no creation, no beginning, no end. Just galaxies forming and unforming over and over forever, 😊

The universe is most likely a finite crystal-like ball of semi-quantised, close-packed +ve and -ve particles tightly bonded to form neutral field cells, with a finite, total amount of +ve and -ve charge. A matter formation then gravitational congregation event (most likely from a Big Hit from another universe) split cells into electrons (e) and positrons (p) and protons (pep) and antiprotons (epe) with electrons and positrons left over as there are always exactly the same number of electrons and positrons in the universe.
    --
The Antimatter Catastrophe was avoided as sometimes proton (pep) and muon (ep_e = malformed anti-proton) pairs were formed, and more-so than antiproton (epe) + antimuon (pe_p) pairs so it's a matter rather than antimatter universe. Matter formation and congregation concentrates universe charge from voids to matter, so voids expand and matter-containing field contracts. Black hole growth accelerates void expansion... NO QUARKS, Dark Matter, Higgs Field, maybe even neutrinos. These are modern day epicycles.
    --
Gravity and part of the Strong Force is surrounding, empty field trying to stay balanced locally (equidistant fields cells), repelling matter (field imbalances) from all directions. Magnetic Field is polarised (partially split) field cells, spin is a particle's centre polarisation axis, energy levels are polarised field cell spheres, light is a transverse cell movement wave with polarisation wave at 90'.

  • @darrenhenderson6921

The universe is almost like a huge expanding blanket, sometimes the parts of this blanket tear and generate energy, this mass is super hot and is dumped into the inner quantum foam and in the process a lot of elements are created, add so many billions of years and hyper gravity and there you have a universe

Measurements of the universe indicate it’s flat and thus an Infinite Universe. The Big Bang universe expansion is at a constant velocity. The acceleration component is the gravitational pull of the infinite universe on the Big Bang universe.
Recent work on black holes suggest they are chaotic and unstable. I don’t see any reason a large enough black hole can become a big bang. Also no one seems to believe that a singularity exists at the heart of a black hole. This would remove the need for inflation at the Big Bang.

The multiverse is just too byzantine, inelegant and ultimately unobservable (like a unicorn on Uranus) for my sensibility, plus it defies the principle of Occam's Razor. Maybe this is not definitive, but for me it's a Genesis uni-verse.

We have evidence (nucleosynthesis) for a time when the universe was about as dense as a neutron star, a few minutes after the possible singularity. I could be wrong but I don't think we have anything before that. It's quite possible that some kind of bounce took place long before the singularity, or that the universe wasn't created infinitely (or Planck) dense.
Actually a fun thought, maybe the Big Bang ran through the universe from one side to the other, making one side a little cooler, and we interpret it as the Earth's motion relative to CMB. I wonder if precise measurement of CMB can distinguish between the two.

I believe in a big bang but not the one from classic physics, also not inflation, but its still a big bang. Start pondering what infinite realy means can you have then unity behind all? Nope as an inf
inite system has an infinite information blur, it can only know a finite part of it self bit for bit and not one more!

Claiming that 'let their be light" is a direct insight into the big bang is totally BS, anceint people thought god started with light before matter does not mean they concived inflation. Genisis also states the earth was created BEFORE the heavens, indicating immedietly that this narritive is incorrect.

The highest form of knowledge in science is laid down as theories. You cannot 'prove' any theory, you can only assemble supporting evidence for any given theory. However, you can overturn any theory by finding evidence that contradicts the theory.
