Just multiply that value you got from the difference between highest point and lowest point then multiply by the Z scale value to get your true amplitude

Assuming it is setup as a heightmap, it will work yes.

The point is 95% of the world is Metric ... only USA, Nigeria and Mynmarr are still Imperial !

Haha yea I know. I would be all for metric except for learning imperial since I was a child.
