Hey Cody, I’m a swimmer that just finished a track season in the spring and I’m getting ready to go back into the summer swim season after about 3.5 months off of swimming. We didn’t do much upper body or core, so when I tried to do a dry land workout today I felt really out of shape. So I was wondering, how long does this feeling usually last and how can I get back into a good swimming shape quickly?
Yeah I had to take time off of swimming when I broke my arm so from my experiences don't push ur self when u get right back into swimming or your will get injured really quickly. Best of luck
I broke my ankle and couldn’t swim for 6 weeks. It look me a few weeks of swimming 3-4 times(im a triathlete so I don’t swim every day) a week to get my feel back and like 6 weeks to get back to my pre injury speed.
Cody, very interested in your dynamic warmup flow before your workouts. Do you have a video of it anywhere?? Love your channel, as a 47 year old who just recently got back in the water, I have greatly enjoyed watching your videos!!!🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼
I have the exact same model pool, and that exact same style vacuum, and there’s no way it should take more than 20 minutes to do the bottom and net the top, if it’s taking that long your vacuum net probably has a leak, or just doesn’t have a high enough thread count. We ordered a additional nets for our vacuum that were almost a felt-like material, worked like a charm.
I'm not Cody, but as a swimmer who is currently healing from a shoulder injury, I'll tell you this: take time off to heal if you haven't already. Ice is your best friend as is ibuprofen. Don't push it (shoulder injuries unless taken care of will haunt you), know when to push and when to back off.
@@mostafaabdelazeem7279 good. My coach made it very clear that if mine starts to hurt, immediately stop and do something that it likes. I don't always do that myself but I'm getting better
hello Cody Miller I am a swimmer too, but due to the pandemic my school and every other pools are closed so i haven't swam in like a year but I love your video's.
Hey I have a question. I don't really know a lot about competitive swimming but watching Cody's vlogs I've been wondering why all the male athletes seem to be wearing those really short swim briefs during practice. Usually I would assume that they wear the same gear in practice that they use in real races or that at least a lot of people would prefer wearing jammers just because of the look.
The briefs are way more comfortable than racing suits and perfect for practicing. Racing suits are high tech, extremely tight and not super durable so they are only used in racing at meets and very rarely swimmers will put on racing suits at practice for some speed sets.
@@soape5865 you are of the very slim minority of swimmers who still wear jammers at practice. But very true some age groupers still wear jammers to practice.
Hey Cody! Random question - as a fellow nerd and comics fan are you at all into Anime and Manga? I think you'd really enjoy a few of the current series running right now.
Cody I feel every vlog should start and finish with Axel. He is the cutest baby ever. Great job on building front end speed. Your trials will be only 100 and 200 breast correct? Either way, swim towards the podium. Cheers.
The swimming hall doesn't look good with all of the stuff. Logos, numbers and flags everywhere. It's too much fluff. It would be interestimg to see what some designers would say about it.
Whenever Cody posted a video it makes the day even better
Very true
More advice on swimmers like me :)

Simple truth
totally agree
Cody Makes me so happy and I always love getting home from morning practice and watching these videos

I miss the days when Cody's vlogs were 10 minutes + sponsors. Now it's a lucky day when they're 10 minutes including sponsors :(
Well dude is preparing for Olympic and there’s a baby in da house ( both very stressful from what I’ve heard)
Lucky to get even a 4 min video
8 minutes today actually lmao
@Tony Michael Andrew is your favorite swimmer/vloger now
I swim breaststroke too but the catch is I can’t walk perseverance is KEY!
I'm a basket carrier for the Olympic trials and I really hope I can see Cody
What goggles are those
Cody: I got a new pool vacuum.
Lego: No, you didn’t...

I love it Cody doesn’t like the maple helicopters, or the seeds. Also if they sink they will germinate.

Organic webs for me
Early let’s go
Organic webbing is kinda gross, I'd much rather have web shooters
I'd want web shooters just cause I wouldn't want to do it all the time
