I finally figured out the Overheating problem what you need to do is hook up an extra radiator...so you need to have 2 radiators running and you will not have any problems overheating on the track there's a few people that have started doing it and so far it's been working out amazing that I have seen so I think you should do that and you would be in heaven.. There is a few pictures online of how other people ran the 2nd one
my fk8 made 382whp and 397wtq with intake inlet intercooler and catback exhaust. but its on 93 that might be the difference really but i was expecting more with a turbo upgrade

Yo Dustin the stock hood traps a lot of head, go with a varis hood or any other hood that has more vents and you’ll see better results. It’s crazy how much the stock hood blocks

Those numbers are very low for the mods u have, fbo cars typically make 370-380hp, and on e20 make roughly 390-400. For being bigger turbo you should be making around 400 before maxing out the fuel system
Hmmm I got my FK8 tuned with FBO’s at the same place by Daniel and I made 341hp and 373 lbs of trq on pump gas but I’m running PRL’s new 5” High flow cat. Your HFC seemed very small compared to mine. I have the Legamax exhaust as well.
The turbo is slightly larger than stock and he's on a stock fuel system and crap fuel octane. My R made 470bhp on stock turbo e30 and is making 640bhp on a prototype R660 drop in turbo with upgraded fuel system on e55.
@@KieranMcG2024 the engine? 100% oem - I've had the intake manifold ported for flow which is probably worth about 30hp but other than that it's as it came from Honda. I'm running 32.5psi on about 55% Ethanol 91 octane blend pump fuel mix.
Dustin what if any Cam Options are there for your TypeR? Hey ever thought about reaching out to 1320? Cool people, I saw that club grow from a small group of people in their late teens and early 20's car club into what it is today. The cars back then were still pretty damned quick and diverse. Street Surgeon in his 1st Gen DSM Eclipse, Spy Hunter in his turbo'd Miata, Parish in his turbo'd Chevy Silverado, J Rod in whatever car he had that month, etc. A lot of DSM's, swapped 240's either RB25DETT or SR20DET's, etc. I never thought it would get as big as it has.
You should try to get a custom tune from redstarmotoring (alot of owners have been tuned by them and they make crazy power) those numbers are kinda low for all the mods you have basic mods for the ctr make that power w/o the turbo upgrade
Love the CTR series. Great content as always. I thought for sure you would hit closer to 400hp with your bolt ons and especially with the upgraded turbo. Still great gains.

You need to upgrade the Fuel system and you'll be pushing 420ish on 91 octane and 480ish in E40

A stock fk8 dyno’s at roughly 285whp -290whp (give or take) depending on dyno and conditions
doubt it's only a 5whp difference depending on the dyno, would have to be way more of a difference
