Mollie, I have a couple of questions as I'm going to be doing this roadtrip in the coming weeks.
First of all, a few friends have told me that a lot of WA (especially inland) is only accessible by 4wd, and many have mentioned it being the case with Karijini, as well as Francois Peron and a few other national parks. We however can see that you guys managed to make it work in a camper van!
Another thing that many have warned me about is that compared to the east coast of Aus, the west coast is far more dangerous with how sparsely populated it is. I am constantly being told to take jerry cans, an absolute tonne of water and various other things along with me, as well as doing some hardcore planning. How did you find this aspect of the trip? Did you go hours and hours without coming across any kind of service station or anywhere with phone reception?
    Thanks in advance.

Sorry for the delay!!! Hope you had an epic road trip!!!!
We definitely had moments in the outback (drive to Karijini) where we were near empty on fuel because of the sparcity! But otherwise we just kept it topped up - so that we weren’t cutting it fine! There were lots of roads we couldn’t take in Karijini (4x4 only) but it didn’t really take from our trip! :)
