Welcome back! I love how you touched in bits of darker value directly from the pencil as you activated the trees that you had already drawn! I use watercolor pencils and Inktense pencils a lot, and I use both of those techniques regularly, yet I had never thought to do both at the same time! Great idea!

Hi Gabriella, nice to see you back again. Have you considered doing a painting using the Zorn palette? I thought it's in keeping with your idea of using the colors that you already have, not buying anything for the year.
Hi Katubes, thank you 🙏🏻 I have never tried the Zorn palette, I actually had to look it up what that even is. 🐱 I have kind of my basic palette, the colours that I always gravitate towards. I'm being more and more drawn to limited palettes and having colours that I actually use. Last year I took a lot of colours off of my main palette.

Beautiful piece. I liked how you could see the paper texture even after you activated the pencils. Could you share the reference photo? I’d like to have a go at it lol. Also, I could not tell, did you use the same pencil for all the various values in the trees? Which hue did you use for the trees? You got a good range of values
