Scooter tuning is one thing and that is why we are all here on this channel, but when you use your scooter beyond its intended purpose, through all sorts of weather -just to get to work, that demands respect. And of all people, this kind and hard working gentleman heading home from Church deserves all the help he needs, which he didn't even ask for in the first place. More details below.
Please help this brave scooter rider by donating something, anything - even $1 dollar will help him get closer to proper winter vehicle to work and support his family! Please share this with your friends so more people can help out!
A video went viral this weekend of a Calgary man riding a scooter in winter conditions on a major highway. We found out that this man, much like many of us, is having a tough time supporting his family, and as a result has to drive his scooter everywhere, even in harsh winter conditions. This man lives in NE Calgary, is trying to support his parents and his nieces, and cannot afford a reliable vehicle or insurance. So Calgary, it's time to once again show why our city has the biggest heart, and help us help him get to and from work and his daily activities in a safe and reliable vehicle. It doesn't look like the snow or cold temperatures will be going away anytime soon, so the sooner we reach our goal, the quicker we can help.
    Taken from Calgary Metro:
"A man riding a scooter down the QEII highway in the the middle of a blizzard Sunday was a church-goer heading home after church, according to a close friend. Heather Wald, who goes to White Fields Calvary Church in Airdrie with the man, said he’s a very kind man who’s always first to offer help and last to leave when help is needed." The man works as a labourer for Stuart Olsen, where Wald describes him as the main breadwinner for his mother - who is unable to work - and his two nieces. According to Wald, The man is developmentally delayed but has his driver's license. Wald, who helped set up a Go Fund Me page for him, said she wants to help get him a reliable vehicle with some winter tires and to pay for the insurance so he could drive a little more safely. Calgarians have already raised more than $1.8k in one hour, with a fundraising goal of $15k. “If you put yourself in his position, he has a house to pay for, his mom to support, food to pay for and bills to pay,” said Wald. “He’s just tenacious, he’s like, ‘Okay, if I can’t drive my car and I have to get to work and this is how it’s going to happen.”

For all you haters out there you do what you gotta do. I worked at a shop 15 miles outta town I rode my little 50cc moped everyday rain or shine snow or ice for 3 years. There were times when by the time I got home I could barely see or feel anything. I had my throttle cable break in and had to tie my shoe string to the carburetor just to get home. Anyway Props to ya dude.

Yeah, i got myself a Zuma 03 two strokes, its fun! but I really need it to go at least 85km/hr or hopefully 95km or higher. Could you tell me what i should do first, free to cheap would be best at first, but later i may get a 70cc kit, expansion exhaust, bigger carb later. PS im super jealous you have the leo vince exhaust, i wonder why they discontinued it!.

Zumas are fast too! Easiest mod would be variator weights. Going a gram lighter seems to yields significantly better acceleration and top speed in MOST cases. Click the links in my description and it will take you to where I bought them for about 6-7$ shipped. Cheaper than a burger

If you follow the rest of the episodes on my channel it might help you out somewhat as we have nearly the same engine and we have the same carb. The carb restriction I mentioned in one of my episode should be found in yours as well - removing that gave me significantly more horsepower...but changing jets inside the carb is required to make use of that extra air. Otherwise you might lean out the engine and cause piston seizure

Absolutely not. On the Deerfoot/QE2 highway, slow moving vehicles are not allowed. Because the scooter is not capable of driving safely at the speed limit (110km) it is not legal for him to be on this highway. Besides that on a good day, the weather makes this a really, really stupid thing to do.

Doesn't matter, they're not allowed on Highway

lol I don't know how he'll be able to afford gas on a free dodge charger (and insurance) if he's doing this because he's broke. public transit would be a much more realistic solution or getting a closer job. I feel for the guy on one hand he's obviously not doing this because he wants to but doing this demonstrates little concern for personal or public safety. smh..
