Haha well in my experience this is where the kudos starts to fail slightly, depending on how much mulching is required depends on how quick the batteries can deplete, its not the running that kills the battery its the constant load that minces the batteries! At a rough guess I would say about 15 minutes for dry leaves on a 6ah pair, 10 minutes on a 4ah and just 5 minutes on a 2ah pair, that said I do think this is on par performance wise with the mains powered wg500e trivac and that is 3000w mains powered and is insanely powerful, with a blower only approach you can get over 30 minutes blow time on a pair of 6Ah, there is also eco mode but I found that to be significantly less powerful and that kind of defys why you want this tool in your arsenal. I believe the new Pro batteries are best suited to this blower as the battery pack.comes off of use very very warm and needs to be cooled for 15 minutes before charging is started.
Can you tell me how long the charging takes using 2 x 20v, 2a batteries? To me it only lasts 5 minutes in normal mode and 15 minutes in echo mode, and it seems very short to me.
2 only unfortunately, and this really is the pinnacle of current battery output, if you only have 2ah batteries this might not be the product for you as on suck mode you can almost watch the power drop on the indicator, especially if you are using it on grass! :-P leaves not so much but this is SEEIOUSLY powerful, two 6ah are best but at £100 a pack...... £££££ + a fast charger to recharge them rapidly......might as well have 2 to charge each one..... or you could just pay £90 and an extension lead with the wg500.
The 583 is better for weight, performance as it is brushless, the roller wheels on the tube and the versatility that it is portable, it's only achilles point is the battery run time, after 4 bags of leaves the battery was out though that was with pair of 4ah batteries, these were very good but ultimately you are going to want to do more than that, as is similar with the mower I will say if you do a weeks worth and keep on top of it you will see a vast improvement, do it once a month and you will probably want your wg500 corded tri vac.
Great review 👍
Many thanks for your comment :-)
How long do the batteries last when they are going to vacuum the leaves?

If you have the large dual charger it will be about 1 hour, the smaller dual charger takes 2 hours both batteries.
Hi Mike, does it need both batteries inserted to turn on? Or would it work with just one? Thanks

Which one is the best at picking the leaves? WG583 or WG500?
