Balatro has seriously been a recent addiction of mine. Not only is the gameplay fun as heck, but the music and overall vibes are absolutely immaculate. I literally can't wait for the full release, and I'll be following the demo updates religiously.

i love getting bus early when im running the faceless deck cause then you can just play 1 card high cards just to rack up the multi and if you get the card that adds the number of times played to the multi high card actually plays for a lot
Balatro gotta be one of my favorite demo games rn. The only thing that stops me from playing this game 24/7 is the importance of eating and sleeping, and the existence of backpack battles. So I play this game 8/7
omfg, all the people saying that dusk is really good pisses me off. its that type of backseating that annoys me the most. because dusk is terrible in like 80% of decks. what makes it really good is when you have 1. a lot of special edition cards that you're trying to trigger multiple times. like stone. etc. 2. if you go all in on mult with your jokers and you don't otherwise have great sources of chips. its such a niche joker, and really only pays off in the first case. in the second case its a stop gap that should get replaced once a viable replacement shows up. but no....chat just said "dusk is great" without any of the context because they saw that its a joker that gets used in all the super mega hands (i.e. multi millions) that people post on the discord. edit: just reached the end of the video,...im shocked that the joker that had 0 synergy in frost's deck...did nothing. worse than nothing, it tricked frost into wasting his blueprint too. crazy.
bus was fine. yeah he coulda stacked it higher, but you don't need more than a +15 mult on any individual joker. even +15 is ridiculously good. and optimizing stacking bus kills eco. so its a tradeoff. Im not saying that dusk is why he lost. either. although putting BP on dusk at the end was definitely not the play. but its possible he was doomed anyway, even if BP had been on bus. im just upset that people in chat would say "dusk is good" without any of the context that goes along with that. although i suppose i shouldn't be surprised. @@sl1m_n4sty53
knew what bus does. it was obviously something that he was thinking about. in fact im pretty sure there were several times he outright stated that he was breaking up a full house or a two pair so he could scale bus. but you have to remember, bus isn't the only thing, or even necessarily the most important. every hand you sacrifice to bus -1$. and on top of that, you don't actually need bus to get up to +30 mult to be worthwhile. +15-20 is fine.
5 of a kind flush doesn’t make sense because it’s very easy to make the same copy of the card a ton of times, its harder to make a five of a kind with all suits than with all the same suit :p
can someone explain why chat though that dusk was super good, the foiled gold joker was better for all but like 2 hands played this entire run. He only had one synergy with cards in the 7 of clubs and it never mattered. Dusk only really seems good if you have 2 or more on jokers that buff cards or a lot of buffed cards. Even if you have all bonus cards its an average of 25 chips per hand which is just not good.
I'd never seen dusk go off before, I thought it played the hand twice including all Joker effects. Maybe that's what chat thought too. But it's actually pretty bad in this deck.
chat thought that dusk was good, probably because its used in a lot of high score builds. its really good for doubling up the effects of jokers like fibonacci and nerd, and also for glass cards, mult cards and bonus cards. but yes, in other words its incredibly niche, but always talked about when discussing high scoring hands. So its easy for noobs to get the idea that its good. when it is, in fact, niche.
@@rendomstranger8698 well, to be fair, 50 chips os a lot. If youre heavy on stones and playing, say, high card with 5 stones, than that could be enough to justify dusk
@@sillyking1991 Except that with normal cards, it is "up to". Most of the time you get less than 50 chips, especially when only part of your hand counts. And that is 50 chips on 1 hand, not throughout the entire round. Pretty much any joker that isn't an economy card pays out more than that without special cards.
Word of advice, dusk sucks ass unless you have something manipulating the cards themselves, because it doesn't double the jokers activity, it doubles the card activity so at the end there all it did was give you 12 to your basic instead of multi
Also, I think the "Five of a Kind Flush" hand should be named "Perfect Fifth" (the musical interval corresponding to a pair of pitches with a frequency ratio of 3:2)

5 of a kind flush is really easy yo get in the demo, tbh. Love the content frost, and i know its click baity, but its not "never before seen in the game" love the memes, have a good stream

Everything see someone get the magic 8 ball and not immediately buy and scale the fuck outta the game with infinite tarot cards pisses me off. I never see the dawn joker in my runs, it's so good! Flush houses are op and Flush of a kind needs to be a thing frfr.
Yeah the seed is actually pretty crazy though, if you use the gold deck, you get the magic 8 ball, then buy the arcana pack and get the random joker, it gives you the Holographic Fist joker.

Double card effects and doubles the value each card adds. It works best with a tarot build. Otherwise, all it does is add up to 50 chips.
