This piece could last one hour to me, all Mike Oldfield fans should dig this one i'm sure.. Ps: Eurythmics album called 1984 has been refused for the film, the composer of this piece and all the rest you can hear during the film is made by Dominic Muldowney, but it seems Annie Lennox's voice on this wonderful piece but that's it. So wrong title.
From Wikipedia: "Unknown to the group, Michael Radford, the film's director, had commissioned his own orchestral score and was not fond of Eurythmics' work. Two versions of the film were released, one featuring Eurythmics' music, and the "director's cut", which replaced most of Eurythmics' music by the orchestral score." This one is from Eurythmics and that other soundtrack sounds completely different (I just found it after reading your comment, I was curious, because I wanted to be able to listen to this elsewhere). I saw that version with songs from Eurythmics, thankfully. :D
Those opening chimes are amazing.
...and utterly haunting!
Best song used for this dystopian movie. It makes you reflect the past so you can learn to have a better future.
funnily enough it was used when winston was changing the history from one enemy being the enemy to another one being the enemy
@@commandercody4169 Was also used when he was a kid and stole chocolate from his starving sister.
This soundtrack brings out calmness, sadness and intensiveness all at the same time.
This track is quite unique. Brilliant
Thanx for uploading .
Have a nice day
Nice techno track
Une belle petite armée de têtes non pensantes. A nice little army of unthinking heads.
