The super expensive king shocks ziptied down are the most legit thing i've seen in ages.

King shocks were just Testing their NEW easy mount/release mounting equipment. I'd say it works Great.
I love how Vin said Brian's over optimistic and yet he in fact finds a set of King shocks and you install them at baja, those are the stories that make it to "a beer with".
I really want to see the baja bug be the first "shit car" that money is actually put into and maybe run the baja 1000 next year(at least more off-road stuff with it)

Fun fact! That nut is ovular on purpose. It is one method to manufacture a locking mechanism into your nut. They are called "distorted thread" locknuts. A lot of mil-spec and spaceflight style stuff will use them.
The main benefit is unlock nylocs, there isn't a secondary locking material that can degrade and weaken over time.
The drawback to them is if you have a material mismatch between your screw and nut you will tear one of the two up a lot of the times.
Now THATS a field trip

what i love most about hoonigan is they are a huge company but all the main people seem almost like they are still a tiny unknown company thats just getting started...thats really cool to me, they seem like they really didnt let the success and fame go to their heads, all this unpreparedness and having no plain, seems kinda fun
