- "The Crow" by James O'Barr is so much more than a book. Made into a film starring Brandon Lee in 1994, this gothic graphic novel goes far beyond the realm of superheroes into a place of true literary depth and emotional weight. Those of you were are into Marvel Comics and DC Comics will especially find "The Crow" to be a wonderful and refreshing change.

Can't believe this had no likes... Heartfelt and well thought out review
+xStormbloodx Thanks. Although I'm not surprised by my lack of likes. None of what I do tends to be noticed. I often joke that I could rob a bank, confess to it on the Internet, and still never get caught, because nobody pays attention to my work. That's okay though. I keep making stuff anyway, just because I love the act of creation.
Check out this fan made Crow film.

Thank you. I'm glad you liked it. I try to make reviews that are a bit different from the typical commentary. Nice to know it is appreciated.
The perfect review for the perfect book. Well done
Thank you, sir. Glad you enjoyed it. Despite the praise it has gained, I really think "The Crow" is severely underrated.
InkShard - a vlog from author Eric Muss-Barnes I could not agree more
This is a great review
Thank you. I'm glad you enjoyed it and I appreciate you taking the time to comment.
good review
this was a great review to listen to. thanks for the video. you definitely know how to talk buddy
Thank you. This book and this review are obviously very personal to me so getting compliments on it is even more meaningful than most stories. I am very grateful that you took the time to comment.
This review was beautiful bravo
+XxMangaMilleniumxX Thank you for saying so. I appreciate you watching it. Glad you enjoyed what I had to say.
+InkShard - a vlog from author Eric Muss-Barnes thank u for replying ill make sure to watch more of your reviews
It's actually been shown that he took the story from a real guy named Eric, and a real girl named Shelly who died on October 28th. He has a few videos on UA-cam, search for Eric DaRaven. It's an interesting accusation.
Damn. Excellent trolling! You got me. I searched UA-cam and Google and found zero proof of anything you said. There is no "Eric DaRaven" listed anywhere. You tricked me good! I fell for it.
InkShard - a vlog from author Eric Muss-Barnes I'm not trolling you, the guy even has a book. I'm dead freaking serious.
Thanks for posting the link. You forgot the apostrophe in his name. That is probably why I couldn't find anything. This is fascinating. I'll have to check it out...
it was both . . . he used a story about another couple but deep down was inspired by his own pain . . . he said this himself. this is how many stories are written.
although I heard nothing about a couple by the name of Eric or Shelly in real life.
never listen to rumors.
information is always twisted between one person and the next just like in the game of telephone.
And nobody is safe from that kind of misfortune....
James O'Barr created a masterpiece but it's unfortunate how this came to be...
Don't get me wrong, i do enjoy O'Barr work a lot and i'm a big fan of the Crow but knowing this, it's kind of unerving that i enjoy something that was created with 'obviously' a lot of pain...
Hail from Quebec
Yes, it is very tragic that he went through something so painful. But, you have to remember, his work didn't create the tragedy - the tragedy inspired the work. He allowed his pain to help others, and by doing so, Mr. O'Barr gave the world a beautiful and admirable gift.
This is how you do a crow review
Thank you, Simon. Kind of you to say. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Oh my god I loved double dragons. It's one of those movies that so bad it's good
On those days Eric you should paint your face like a clown and go beat up some bad guys. And remember if they shoot you it's ok your invincible
Doesn't quite have James O'barr's story quite right.... and I'm sorry but how fucking creepy can you make this video.
It's almost like listening to a cult leader speak, with all the waxing poetic.
Thank you. I love that you think it's creepy.
A cult leader? Awesome! That's one of the best compliments ever.
