I learned Soanish and now learning portuguese. Its a great advantage i have. Im at 4 months and speakers don't believe i just started because i can have whole conversations using structures i know and changing some false cognate or suffixes. I'll be fluent to my standard within a year, I'm certain.
I've studied French longer (years) and cannot say half as much with the same ease.
As a bonus, I heard Galician last week and my Gosh, I understood it all! @deepfriedorange4066

Porém, sempre dar preferência a outros idiomas (o inglês, sobretudo) e tratar o português como algo inferior, terá um efeito oposto: diminuirá entre pessoas de fora o interés em aprender o português! @geniussugared,
      Thank you for posting.
There are differences which are immediately noticed when you speak to a European Portuguese speaker vs. a Brazilian Portuguese speaker: the pronunciation and accent is very particular to each one of these.
You’ll also find differences in grammar and vocabulary. However, we also offer courses in European Portuguese:
www.PortuguesePod101.com/index.php?cat=39 (Learn with Pictures and Video: European Portuguese - 25 lessons)
www.PortuguesePod101.com/index.php?cat=38 (In this module, Throwback Thursday, you’ll find many European Portuguese lessons - please check lessons 141, 177, 187, 190, 215, and 233).
In case of any questions, please feel free to contact us.
      Sincerely,

"Uma mulher está perguntando alguma coisa para o vendedor"
    Tenham vergonha!
Qual o motivo de vocês ensinarem erros às pessoas?
Vocês nem sequer sabem usar as preposições e querem ensinar português!
Salvo algumas excepções, a preposição "para" indica a continuação da frase com outro verbo.
No vosso caso, a preposição "para" está ERRADA.
    A frase correta seria assim:
