📋 INGREDIENTS:
Dough:
5 egg yolks
250 g sugar (1 1/4 cups)
150 ml vegetable oil (2/3 cup)
100 ml water (1/2 cup)
250 g all-purpose flour (2 cups)
2 teaspoons of baking soda
5 egg whites
pinch of salt
1 tbsp cocoa
Pudding:
80 g vanilla pudding powder or cornstarch (2/3 cup)
800 ml milk (3 1/3 cups)
2 tbsp sugar
Cream filling:
200 ml cream (3/4 cup)
2 tbsp vanillin sugar
400 g crème fraîche or 30% sour cream (1 3/4 cups)
Bake: 160°C (320°F) for 30 minutes in a fan oven

I love your new kitchen and Bosch appliances. Definitely going to make that icing. I love that it is not too sweet. I do have one suggestion... normally, when dividing a batter in two if you add a dry ingredient you should add one or two Tbsp. of liquid. The chocolate part of the cake would come out drier and more dense according to this old recipe. Thank you for sharing your talents with us.
Yes. I always put a little bit of milk into it so it's not that dry

Tipp: Tu etwa ⅓ des Zuckers, evtl auch etwas mehr in den Eischnee, das macht ihn besser zum Unterheben und etwas stabiler (man muss ihn halt etwas länger schlagen). Sonst ein tolles Rezept.
Ach irgendwie hat mir die alte Küche besser gefallen,der schöne Holztisch,es war irgendwie gemütlicher.Naja man gewöhnt sich dran

Ich vermeide alle Samenöle... bis auf Ölivenöl, Avocadoöl und Kokosöl. Diese sind aber für einen neutralen Geschmack im Kuchen eher ungeeignet

En Belgique , crème et crème fraîche c'est pareil.

@@Einfache-Rezepte à oui , donc la crème fraîche c'est pour la pâtisserie (ici , c'est la bouteille rouge 😊) et la crème c'est plutôt culinaire (c'est la bouteille verte 😊) et la crème épaisse c'est tout à fait autre chose. . D'accord , j'ai supposé ainsi aussi , mais je me suis dit que je vais quand même demander car à la base tout les deux sont des crèmes.

Not a big baker, but I love watching people bake. Question, wouldn't this cake be OK without the baking soda? It seems that aerating the egg whites would be enough. Isn't that how you make a roll cake?
