The super pin install is tedious. I wouldn’t say it is necessarily hard, but it is tedious. Take your time. Removing the center console is the hardest part. For $35 it’s a great upgrade if you are doing the install yourself and not paying labor. Helps take up even more slop and compliments the sigma six well. I opted not to make the additional cut in the shifter box for the zip tie mod. I did opt for the additional selector shaft upgraded bushings. Every little bit helps with this shift box design.
@@James-tc1qi that’s what I’ve heard, which is why I’m not really up for doing this mod. I will say, the Sigma 6 feels super good! Really like it! It’s really made the driver connection to the cars shifter so much better. Just feels solid and engaging. Between this and my clutch mods, the car feels super planted.
I mean it’s a good strategy for Deutsche Auto Parts to make a copy, as they know the DieselGeek shifter is the best shifter for VW’s, but I personally just think going with the original designer is the right thing to do. Just my opinion. Plus, DieselGeek has improved on their original design, and have Version 2 out (which is what I have), which makes adjusting the shifter much easier over Version 1.
You get a 👍 just for that entro slide.
Installing my sigma 6 on my mk4 gti vr6 tonight
Haha thanks! How are you liking the Sigma 6?
@@JacesOwnWorld I love it! So fun to drive now
It really does transform the shifting experience!
What do you think about their super pin or whatever it's called? I've heard mixed reviews and the install process seems like a massive headache.
I can’t say because I’ve never installed it

How are you liking it? I'm in between this and the holy shift kit
I absolutely love it. The holy shift kit is a DieselGeek knock off.
@@JacesOwnWorld yeah they looked pretty similar when I was looking at them. I appreciate the reply man

Nice. Any updates on feel?
No updates, but still loving the feel. Very good shifter!
