Thats the only color this car looks good with the new front! Apparently chevy is fixing the front for the 2020 and up models! Flowtie moves back on the grill!
@@al151 It's definitely our favourite colour so far. Chevy has no yet confirmed the changes but their are many rumours so far, plus the feedback from the 2020 redesign is very positive. It wouldn't surprise us!
Looks terrible . I hope they redesign the whole Camaro before they go extinct again . The zl1 is the only one that looks good . Come on CHEVY get your head out of you ass we want a nice muscle car not this shit .
Car looks good in black, and the blue looks nice too. I saw an orange one the other day, and it’s a nice Color, but I don’t love the heat extractor or black bumper with the flow tie. If they move that flow tie up, I’d like it a lot more. Something about the bumper seems wrong though, doesn’t fit the car somehow. You were right though, the previous car was pretty much perfect.
Yes, I've seen the orange in pictures and it looks fantastic. We only have those two black ones at the moment. The flowtie looks great up on the grill, like on the green highlighter-coloured Camaro Chevy showed the other day. It looks way better to in person then we thought. We love the new lights but agree the front might not look as great on other colours. Hard to mess with success and not ruffle a few feathers!
I almost feel bad that dealers can't sell these things. This refresh was probably the worst thing to happen to the modern camaro, not because I hate the design, but because everyone else does.
Just to clarify: The 2019 Camaro like you see here is 100% available. We just received them. Chevy has yet to officially indicate any further changes to the product. As Fonzo said we've actually seen some positive feedback so far. Chevy is sure to gauge its sales for a while before making any kneejerk changes.
Chevy had listen to the bad response from the owners and changed the front a little bit. At least they paint the black bumper. I think there will be a solution for the ugly rear lights as well.
Der Panzerkommandant I love the new taillights. It’s a throwback to the 1970 camaro. The front is where it doesn’t convince me. Doesn’t look like a Camaro to me.
@@MICKSHRED Sales begged to differ. The relocating of the flowtie to the grille and matching the paint of the bumper to the body does wonders. Just look at the new ecopo Camaro.
i owned a 17 1le ans went back to GM as lemon now buying another one this weekend, I have 19 and 18 options and I am going with 18, I just can't do the tail lights and bumper, black color 1le is not bad but still, I feel like the 6th gen 16018 will be a classic in the future with the looks
2019 looks weird like the headlights are too far up. They should have used the ZL1 front end and modify it a little bit. Dodge and Ford use their higher trim models to inspire their lower trim models design.
Actually the 2019 Camaro ZL1 is the only model to keep the 2016-2018 front end. It was the same as the Gen 5, too. The ZL1 keeps the original front end. It has the new rear lights but the front is the same. Like the Silverado, Chevy tweaks the front end slightly for each model.
Excellent vid, this gentleman knows his Camaros and has a smooth delivery. I noticed in future years they cheaped out on the door cards, the 1SS used to have a padded upper panel near the door window. You had to opt for the 2SS to get that in more recent years.
Yes, the Heads-Up Display (HUD) is available on the 3LT and 1SS trim levels as part of the Conveneience and Lighting Package, and comes standard on Camaro 2SS and up! It's a fantastic feature.
Like my 2018 2SS much better. 8 speed Trans too. 2018 shows a 3.9 second 0-60 time, 4.1 on the 2019. Sometimes more is less (transmission). Still a great car minus that front end of course. Glad they fixed it in 2020 models.
So since the 2019 SS auto is a 10 speed while the Manual is a 6 speed. Which means the 1LE only comes in 6spd MT thus will that be slower in quarter mile run?
YES! At this point, most automatic transmissions- especially dual-clutch transmissions- can shift faster than any human. While the manual is slower, most drivers are willing to sacrifice the 1-2 tenths of a second difference for the ability swap their own gears.
We'd expect it to perform similarly to the 2018 (0-60mph in 4.0 seconds flat; quarter-mile in 12.3 @ 116mph), seeing as there few mechanical changes to the '19.
How do I replace my 2018 redline wheels? Like if I want to replace the black wheel (with I think gold chevy emblem) with redline accent on wheel (looks painted on via factory - not just a sticker) how do I get it through GM and have them install?? The chevy store only seems to sell the black on black chevy emblem without any red accents -- that's no longer redline edition!
Hey, Isaiah! We'll definitely post more Camaro videos soon. Tell us what you'd like to see! Thanks for your comment & stay tuned for a new video every Friday.
Thank you soo much for info but I do have a question about performance what is the time difference on track for 2019 SS with 10 speed auto from 1LE I really want to know the time please can you give me an example of the time difference between the two
Because you know that flow tie is gonna allow so much more airflow to keep the car cooler, freaken idiots who placed it there, looks like shit. Great job GM messing up a great looking car.
The white LEDs under the headlights make no sense the way they extend toward the center. Makes it look cross-eyed and goofy. I understand the new refresh design for better air intake. They've incorporated the ZL1 canards into the facia but I don't like it. I'm glad I have a 2017.
The new front grill lot of people don't like it it does look really good on the 1LE in black but I know they're changing the design in 2020 on the ss so if you have a 2019 ss you'll have the only bowtie in the middle of the grill on the gen-6 Camaro
This is very true! Eventually it'll be rare as it was only available for one year. As you mention, the current badge placement does look phenomenal on the 1LE! Curious to see the new ones.
I wish. I owned a 2016 Camaro SS. Loved it. Stupidly traded it for an AMG C63S. Hated that. Eventually came around and ordered a 2019 Camaro SS from the factory in January. It arrived last week. I can tell you, the 2019 is not nearly as beautiful as the 2016. I've owned both now, and the 2019 is just not as attractive.
Someone inform this man on what hood vents do lmao this guy really just said the hood vent gives down force 🤣 yup and the stickers are 5 extra hp as well
I don't think I will get used to 2019 front end. Quick question for you, 1. Are 2019 tail lights compatible with 2018's. If so how much are the stock 2019 GM taillights? (blacked out) 2. How much Horsepower does the 2019 2SS 1LE has compared to 2018 2SS 1LE?
Hi e K! 1) The short answer is no, unfortunately. If you notice the area around the lights on the bumper of the 2019 is different than the 2018, it's sculpted around the new lights. Which means you'd need a new rear bumper, too. The lights themselves are available to order but a GM dealership likely wouldn't try to swap them out as it would be qualified as an aftermarket part at that point. A third-party shop might be able to do it with some modifications to accommodate for the new shape but at that point it's custom and likely quite expensive. 2) Like the 2018 SS 1LE, the 2019 SS 1LE produces 455hp. Hope that helps!
Just a piece of advice... ask several people how to pronounce the word "radiator". Other than that I appreciate the video so thanks for the comparison.
This cars been basically the same thing for 10 years now. There needs to be more changes each generation to the body not just a slight rework of the headlights
Hey QueensYankees fan! The Camaro was actually entirely new for 2016 (Gen 6). The 2016 uses a whole new platform (Alpha), all new bodywork and new interior.
