Mr Ayoob's eloquence, intelligence and knowledge is just staggering. I enjoy and learn so much on his videos. He is truly a great treasure for the 2A community. I appreciate Wilson Combat for letting us all learn from a master. Thank you so much!
I wear 5.11 cargo shorts, both out and about and to work. Does everything I need. I almost never wear my jeans anymore because of the lack of edc pockets
I recently had another customer at a smoothie shop observe my multi-pocket vest and ask if I was "a fisherman". I told him "No, I just carry a lot of tools and equipment to handle the many various jobs I have to take care of daily." He didn't ask just what tools, which was good, because I would not have disclosed some of them ... but he didn't suspect any different.
That was hilarious. He doesn't need an exercise routine, he carries 20lbs of weight everywhere he goes. If I ever find myself in a foxhole, Mas is the guy I want to be with.
Just a note to add to remind people that the 5.11 pants roots are rock climbing. The pants were originally invented and made by a man called Royal Robbins for rock climbing. I bought my first pair at REI in Seattle. 5.11 refers to the hardest climb in rock climbing. Their first tactical use was when the FBI stood up their hostage rescue team when they found their great utility for use. I still have a pair of the originals.
"Cargo" pants have been ubiquitous for over 40 years. They are worn daily across all demographics, so much so that no one really notices. The "shoot me first" mantra is laughable. And that goes for vests and fanny packs (which seem to be making a comeback) as well.
I've been wearing cargo pants for years. They are so very useful for carrying the things that I use constantly. They are very comfortable as well. I don't get certain parts of my anatomy pinched as well.
I once went to a corporate event wearing cargo pants, just because of the practicality of carrying all my stuff in pockets instead of in a man purse or back pack. Well, wouldnt you think, the under cover rookie security lady gave me the look as if she thought I was a potential "active shooter" (Those guys have been known to be kitted out with cargo pants). Sometime the look on someones face says a thousand words. So, just to make her at ease, I said hello and introduced myself. She about dropped her jaw to the floor because she knew I knew that she had been mistaken.
Most of my wardrobe, both on and off duty, is 5.11. Comfortable, well fitting, durable, practical, cut for wearing holsters, built in mag carriers, I could go on.
5.11 Tactical Nut Crushers. I bought two different pair hoping to find a comfortable model. They were okay standing straight up but squating or crouching brought instant pain. My brother had just retired from the Army and working at a large LGS. He highly recommended Blackhawk Lightweights. That was great advice and I was in love and stocked up. Luckily I did because they're not in production. They were a little spendy depanding on the source but not much more than Nut Crushers. Oh and they are the best pants in summer heat. I think the real problem is 5.11 are not cut for muscular thighs. So when I squat or crouch the thighs pull up and tighten any loose fabric. Any rate no more money to 5.11.
I have 3 pairs of 5.11 Taclite Pro Pants and plan on buying more. Outstanding product! They're also moisture repellent which wasn't mentioned. Very well constructed, they should last for years. I'm an old guy too, 60, so I don't give a crap about being stylish with skinny jeans, I want to be able to carry stuff I need, and be comfortable doing it. Damn good pants!
I’m 70 and just started wearing cargo pants a year ago. Where have they been all my life?!! And let’s not forget about cargo shorts for the hot summers. While I don’t carry as much gear as you Massad, I do appreciate the capability to do so especially pocket carrying a snub nose revolver. A couple of months ago I ran across some cargo pants that are fleece lined, wonderful to wear in the colder months!👍👍
I have been Prepping for many years and have worn cargo pants and cargo shorts for many years. When I am wearing sweat pants, I am not. I also enjoy shirts, vest and jackets with many pockets. Keep Prepping.
The best fitting, cool in summer, stain resistant are Blackhawk. I've got multiple brands of cargo pants but Blackhawk Lightweight are the best. Learned the hard way that 5.11 pants don't work unless I stand straigh and don't flex like crouch or squat which then crushes the jewels.
I love my cargo pants and cargo shorts. That’s all I wear. Perfect for carrying everything on you that a guy needs. The brand I currently like are the Duluth trading Company Flex Fire Hose work pants. Thanks Paul Harrell for the recommendation!
Ditto. Paul said they were good and I had a pair before the video ended. Those firehose flex are the most comfortable pants/shorts I've ever worn. I just took a fencing lesson in the pants. Zero restriction. They are the best, just like Paul.
I use cargo pants pretty much every day unless I am getting into a tie level outfit. I looked at 5.11 but didn't care for the price. I used to be able to get cargo pants at wally world (walmart) but they were sold out almost all the time. I found Union Bay and tried them,. They are relaxed fit and moderately light weight material. The pockets are generous and I pocket carry a Hellcat with an optic. I tried a G19 but it was too large for the front open pocket./ They have sales regularly and you can gt them for under $30 on sale. I get outstanding wear from them and haven't been "made" yet wearing them and I wear them year round including when riding a motorcycle.
Thats insane! Lol 😆 way too much stuff. I suppose it makes sense for him since this is his life style n business but for most avg ppl dont do this cuz ull get sick of it and eventually quit. I keep it simple n stupid. Lcp max, cell phone which has flashlight for me, and a multi tool and wallet, back up wallet is on google pay. Im never far away from either my car or house so as for more wallets flashlights or knives unneccessary for me entirely on my person.
I have been a fan of the Wrangler Ranger cargo pants for years. They are set up pretty nice and are quite rugged for 32 bucks at Wally world. I see the 5.11 are little more than twice as much, but they seem to have even more functionality, plus they look more comfortable. Probably worth a try.
You can make a MiniMag much more powerful through an LED bulb conversion. That's what I did, for all of mine. Bonus: the batteries last much longer with LED bulbs.
I was at the supermarket the other day when I saw an old dude wearing the "shoot me first" vest with some 5.11 cargo pants and a Magellan shirt. I immediately went up to him and complimented his style, we got to talking about some of Mas's books. The only thing dangerous about this style is that it is dangerously based.
5.11 products are overpriced and underwhelming in quality. Duluth Trading is ths pinnicle of cost effectiveness in cargo pants. They are a working man's pants and do not say I am a tacticool guy. Wearing 5.11 cargos won't get you shot but unless you are a LEO or security professional it says you are out to impress the wrong people. I have some Wranglers and Redheads as well but for harsh environments it is Duluth for me. The average person carries way to much EDC stuff. From my experience over the years I found that I need a multitool with a blade, screwdrivers and a scissors. In tick season I add a small multitool with a tiny pliers to remove ticks. I also carry a small flashlight, bandaids and ointment, pocket planner and pen, and tiny pill container with, NSAIDs and antihistamines, and finally a small container of pepoer spray. When the stinging insects are flying around I add cortisone cream to deal with the sting. Then there is the wallet, keys, watch phone that even non gun owners carry. Oh, and the there are "doggue bags" for the ever present coonhound. If you are carrying a folder and a multitool you are just carrying dead weight. The heavy duty stuff is in a pack in the trunk ready to be broken out if my "mission" requires special equipment. It sounds like a lot but it takes up very little space. I once weight my EDC with a Browning Hi Power. It was 4.5 lbs. I recommend the MaxLvlEDC channel to see what cool gear is out there but he is a bit over the top.
Massad.... would it be possible for you to run a video about CC clothing for women? We tend not to have a lot of capacious pockets etc. I do realise you'll need a "model"... I am not asking to to wear drag! :)
I'd say these are more associated as "employee pants". I like to grocery shop after work in cargo pants and tshirt/hoodie/polo. Hardly a single trip without a dumbass asking which aisle something is in 😑 even when I'm NOT wearing the store's colors (maroon polo at a whole foods, come on, people) and carrying a reusable tote.
Your wallet comment reminded me. When i started having hip issues the orthopedist, after figuring out my right side was slightly compressed, told me absolutely nothing in back pockets, especially while driving.
Slash front pockets lose all your stuff and send you home with a bunch of pine needles and juniper berries . They should have a flap with a large button closure that you can open with gloves , not noisy velcro . Thigh pockets ( magazine pockets ) need to be up higher so you actually run . Gusset croch so you can actually climb a fence . Flap pockets on the rear also with a large button closure . I actually liked my Vietnam button fly closure BDU pants . ( no worry about catching Little Willy ) .
Mas Ayoob is the reason why I'm still subscribed to the Wilson Combat UA-cam channel. I really appreciate his contributions. I also like Seeklander and a younger competitor whose name I can't recall right now, but they haven't appeared in a while.
Mas, Great video! I love wearing cargo pants/BDUs for multiple EDC+ reasons. Your comment about redundancies and wallets on a side pocket or pain in the butt... works for us in other crowds, too!✌🏽
Right cargo pocket, pepper spray. Left cargo pocket, wallet and tourniquet. Front top pocket, pocket knife. Left top pocket mini flashlight Guess I'm a boomer-fudd
Man, after seeing him with a spare sandwich in the cargo vest video - I didn't think I could be more entertained, but this did it. So, should we have a back up pair of cargos within the cargos?
I call my clothing "Sagolim" or (dress purples). I also wear utility holsters for calculators, cell phones, and a stopwatch among other things. I modified MOLLE web belt loops from condura made for a utility tool onto Rip Off brand tool holders . I have infact uploaded simlple intructions on how I created these things with JB Weld adhesive. Video titled "Molle gear for holsters for cell phones calculators and tools"
Great video. Love Masaads videos as well as Kens. I found some great cargo / tactile pants for summer believe it or not at Walmart. They are made of stretchy nylon and have two side pockets and they are cool in the summer and dry quickly if wet. I also have a few pair of BDU pants for winter and summer in rip stop. Hip holster for pistol on string side and another for cross draw which I've come to love, but must dress around both. I use the cross draw while in a car because it's easier to get to and stable. I think I'm going to get either a Walther 380 for ankle holster or a Glock 43 .. I am putting together a safety kit to carry in my fanny pack which is small and leather which will carry a tourniquet and bleeding gauze as well as stop bleeding powder, etc. Just in case. Extra magazines on hip for Glock 19 or whatever you like. along with strong side holster or cross draw.. Can't beat it.. I live in rural Indiana where we don't need a permission slip to protect ourselves. Same town as the guy that shot the greenwood criminal who murdered some people and would have killed more of not for our hometown hero.. God bless guys. Be safe and well. You add value to my life and thank you for that. ❤
I buy mine from Walmart too. Always one size to big in the waist. 👍 Not a fan of the stretchy one. Crossdraw is great if you're in for a long drive as well.
Massad, I think you completely missed the value of wearing S-cargo pants. While I certainly wouldn't want "snails" in my pockets, there are clearly times when I do want the less edible "slugs" close at hand and readily accessible in my pockets---and I would certainly consider slugs as being in the same family as snails. I say that slugs are "less edible" because--need I explain it??--"slugs" are less friendly to the digestion process than are snails if you succeed in effectively feeding them into your intended recipient's digestive tract. It's all a very complex biological phenomenon, but I think you get the point.
I have at least 8 pair of those in my closet, along with 4 different vests. Summer in Florida is brutal, so I have an equal number of 5.11 shorts in a drawer. Truth is, apart from jeans, I rarely wear any other kind of trousers.
My favorite tactical/cargo pants for everyday wear are Arc'teryx LEAF Functional Pants. Tons of super deep pockets, but still very low visibility. They don't look tactical at all and were specifically designed for operators doing undercover work. Kind of hard to get due to Arc'teryx only wanting to sell LEAF stuff to military/LEO, but you can still find them.
Looks like you just stripped about 19lbs of weight off your body! 😆 One thing I like about them and you touched on it... the loose fit. After many years of powerlifting I tend to have larger thighs and more butt. Try finding jeans... 😳 Cargo pants fit that bill as well. Roomy, comfortable and still have lots of ROM with still plenty of room to carry "stuff". 5.11 are great, Blackhawk and some of the LAPG store brands as well.
I work in physical therapy. The cut and drape of these pants is great for flexibility and bending to position or transfer patients. Wear them all the time.
Definitely jealous of you guys in cool country. I live in Southern Arizona and wear shorts and tank tops 9-months out of the year and sweatpants and maybe a hoodie 3-months out of the year. Tough to overdress when it is 112-degrees outside. I have settled on open carry (shoulder holster) around the house and around our small town where everyone carries and using the VANSH holster when carrying concealed.
I have been wearing cargo pants and shorts since I was a little kid, so over 40 years at this point! 5.11’s are my go to pants because they last longer than any other brand that I have tried.
511s also look the best. However $80 for a single pair of pants makes my wife mad ( she dosent get it). So......birthday presents and Christmas requests.
1. Thanks for another great video. 2. The only "weakness" in the 5.11 pants is that (unless I'm mistaken) the lower part of the leg does not unzip to convert them into shorts. 3. With all you carry, I hope you never fall into a river, lake or ocean. 4. I need you to do one more "fashion video" -- where and how to carry while riding a mountain bike in the mountains or desert. I want access to my Glock 26, but don't want to land on it when -- not if --- I crash.
When asked to design cargo pants next time, could we please make a pair that doesn't snare on every drawer handle in the kitchen... Mas, Glad to see you keeping your runway videos family friendly and avoiding the high-end breakaway pants. 😱🤣
Carhartt B11 pants. Unreal durability. At least 3-4x the durability of good jeans. Not as many pockets as Mas’ 511’s. But I can carry any firearm and also slip a 17 round spare mag. The loops are perfect for Hanks Belts heaviest thickest belts. Front pants pockets hide a jframe easy. I love Carhartt B11. Been wearing them for 15 years.
511 make many confusingly similar cargo parts. Also seem to use cloth scraps from different dye lots that discolor differently. And d rings are not standard, making it hard to clip keys on. They're good, but not perfect. Often made to a price, in Vietnam.
Your comment about 2 handkerchiefs made me smile. I've always carried 2 handkerchiefs, 1 for me and 1 for whenever a clean one might be needed. And I've worn cargo pants for about the past 40 years because I hate having to carry "stuff" in my hands. I will have to try a pair of 5.11 if only because of the wallet pocket.
Mas' pant with Paul Harrel's jacket gives you superpowers I have been told.
Paul wears Duluth Firrhose Flex pants, the pockets are huge
@Kinetic.44
My favorite pants!
Got my first pair years ago at a goodwill and I've been hooked ever since!
I heard Paul Harrell's jacket gives you
pancreatic cancer.

I also love to use suspenders. I love the tactical tailor suspenders.

Cargo pants/shorts. Every. Day. My go-to is Duluth Trading.
What about the Monadnock Djammer? Still have mine from your old online store..
AND HE SNAILS THE DAD JOKE‼️
Perfect 10s across the board!
If you liked that, go look up the Nissan S-Cargo.
An entire car built around a joke.
That was hilarious. He doesn't need an exercise routine, he carries 20lbs of weight everywhere he goes. If I ever find myself in a foxhole, Mas is the guy I want to be with.
I was waiting for a sandwich (and the inevitable back-up sandwich) to come out. The snail joke was unexpected.
I started laughing after the second pocket dump. You are the best sir. Your snail joke proved it! I love you man! Keep doing what you do.
Look up his “shoot me first vest” video…you think his pants pocket dump is wild…! 😂😂😂
Laughed, applauded, love Mas.
Wow, someone besides me that remembers Royal Robbins. 😂🤣
I hope he carries spare cargo pants in one of the pockets ;-)

I think the real problem is 5.11 are not cut for muscular thighs. So when I squat or crouch the thighs pull up and tighten any loose fabric. Any rate no more money to 5.11.
I need to try them. My whole pants wardrobe is Duluth Firehose Flex, which I really like.

Tell Fernando to bring back Eotac!
OMG that snail joke was so far out of left field I choked on my tea laughing!
$375 for pants??? 😳 OUCH!
@@garytucholl7699those are the assault pants. The functional pants are $130-$230 depending on the model.

theyre $129-$229 depending on the model. the $375 ones are their combat pants (similar to crye g3s)@@garytucholl7699
Cargos are great for camping or when I working on a project around the yard. I like to carry an O-light, pad/pen, multitool, etc.
5.11 are great, Blackhawk and some of the LAPG store brands as well.
escargot, you got me in tears Massad, hilarious!
I work in physical therapy. The cut and drape of these pants is great for flexibility and bending to position or transfer patients. Wear them all the time.
It's a sad state of affairs, if in our great country, we can't leave the house armed to the teeth.
Which pocket do you store your tactical wig in ?
Definitely jealous of you guys in cool country. I live in Southern Arizona and wear shorts and tank tops 9-months out of the year and sweatpants and maybe a hoodie 3-months out of the year. Tough to overdress when it is 112-degrees outside. I have settled on open carry (shoulder holster) around the house and around our small town where everyone carries and using the VANSH holster when carrying concealed.
Hes still wearing that cheap wig?!🤔
I am a seafood processor in Alaska and I like to wear these 5.11 because they dry out quicker after being in the bottom of a boat
Where do I keep the sandwich and back-up sandwich?
Escargot pockets. -- that one hurt a little.
LMAO at your ending statement Sir. Well said Massad. Thank you for your hard work and time. You are appreciated.
I had to tell my wife that 😂she got a chuckle out of it.
I have to get in better shape to carry that must stuff around all the time. 😂😂😂
I agree I have a few pair I wear constantly for 20 years
I have been converted to cargopantianism!
Dang.... Mas has half the Internet and all the gun store in his pants. LOL
I have been wearing cargo pants and cargo shorts for years. They are so much more practical and convenient.
Thank you Massad 👍🇺🇸🇺🇸
When that happened, I changed out the offending handles😊. Problem goes away.
I use Duluth Firehose pants cause they are tanks
I have since I was 15. I like pants I can carry stuff in or do yoga.
Only people that don't wear them needed to watch that 😂 I've been wearing them for at least 40yrs.
I work construction in Phoenix, AZ & these exact pants work fabulous. I wear them everyday at work.
511 make many confusingly similar cargo parts. Also seem to use cloth scraps from different dye lots that discolor differently. And d rings are not standard, making it hard to clip keys on.
They're good, but not perfect. Often made to a price, in Vietnam.
Lord knows that I have been wearing cargo pants for at least 30 years.
I wear cargo pants all the time. I love them.😊😊😊😊😊
Escargot pockets xD
Escargot pockets... Great one!
Ive got a couple pair of pants that are of the carpenter style. They get most of what i need in them.
PROPPER HLX® Men's Pants - Hidden Cargo Pockets // Clearance $30.00 // Good long lasting pants //
Please tell them they don’t have to wear men’s pants, they can keep using their moms skinny jeans
