That Megatron head with the faceplate, if you want you could repaint the bucket head in blue, keep the faceplate that gunmetal silver, and Behold you have a Megatron Cobra Commander! XD
I'm so happy to see this guy. IMHO a tank is the perfect alt mode for Megatron - he's not gonna turn into a gun for his subordinates to wield, he's not gonna turn into a jet like a dozen other Decepticons. No, he's gonna turn into the huge honkin' armored vehicle with the big cannon mounted on the front so he can blast apart any Autobot in his way and he can roll over their remains. But I don't think any previous Megatron really did the idea justice, either the vehicle or robot mode compromised in some way. This, this feels like the complete package.
I agree tank mode is the best modern alternate mode for Megatron. I know people prefer the gun mode due to nostalgia, but a tank fits Megatron in so many ways. It's a military vehicle, fitting Megatron's nature as a tyrannical military leader of the Decepticons, tanks are pretty much giant guns on treads, and offer mobility.
I would say i personally love the rotf tank megs had since he just casually had his face in the front, giving no care about disguise and having the alt mode purely for destruction
Agreed. I feel tank is the best mode for Megs, but I'm not against jet. Better than gun tho. Not that it was hated as a child, but tank is just better. I feel the same for Galvatron, as I always hated cannon mode.
As someone who didnt grow up with G1, Tank Megatron always made so much sense to me, and i remember thinking Megatron turning into a gun was kinda goofy when i learned about it. Even more so since he then has to let others use him, which imo doesnt fit Megatron
That alt mode is friggin perfect. It's not quite a tank really, and it's not a gun, it's like a Howitzer on treads. It's exactly what Megatron would choose as his alt mode, a great thundering metal slug of destruction, and it doesn't just look like a robot doing uncomfortable yoga. Similarly, the robot mode is utterly devoid of kibble. At first, I thought this was one of those figures that DIDN'T transform because the treads are hidden for that G1 completeness. Utter witchcraft.
This thing totally gives me Metal Slug vibes. I love it! A tank like this is totally the best alt mode for Megatron: a massive cannon strapped to tracks. Gorgeous!
WOW!!!! No joke!! That would be such a fun watch! From concept and prototype to creation and final product. Why has no one done this! 😮 Your a genius! 😂😂
Now (THIS) is a truly complex yet exciting figure of "Megatron" that's really eye-popping !!!! 👀 It looks "quite nice" in both modes & it's huge size & sophistication tells Me that this is NOT a cheap transformer!!!! 🤭
Just too beautiful. Too bad Travis Knight didn't bring a Megatron to the Bumblebee movie. Then we have to imagine what Megatron would look like and this one seems perfect for the movie. Mine is coming very soon, yeah, collector's life is like that, you can't miss a gem like that under any circumstances. Congratulations on the excellent video.
Speaking if which, I honestly kinda worried about the upcoming Transformers Rise of the Beast (which technically is the sequel to Bumblebee) because it suddenly jumps into a Maximals vs Predacons (and Terrorcons is also there for some reason) kind of situation instead of bringing on Megatron and his Decepticons like they originally wanted to...
@@arslan7108 I KNOW RIGHT?!! i get it that they most likely took inspiration from that comic book series where the Maximals and Predacons were sent to the future and meet their Autobots and Decepticons counterpart, but i seriously felt like we skipped 3-4 movies over here

Wow, what an amazing figure to behold, in either mode. It instantly catches the eye, and thanks to emgo, as always, for help with the transformation. Thanks for this awesome video. I just recieved my Monocrat/Megatron last night. I ordered it because of your video. it is an awesome figure. and was unexpectedly bigger than my 25th anniversary Masterpiece Optimus prime (MP01) by about an inch or so. love this thing.
One of the only 3P videos where the transformation didn't actively stop me from wanting to buy it! It's long, but the steps seem to genuinely be mostly about *reconfiguring the bot into a vehicle* rather than a gajillion dumb fiddly panels being rearranged.
