@Commando Sev What are the quality issues you're referring to? I know El Cid was prone to breakage, but the only problem with Firage is it's too small for what they tried to engineer it to do because the kitbash it was based upon used a Deluxe class Bumblebee (Battle Blade was it?) for much of its 'skeleton'. It's a great figure, but the upscaled KO apparently fixes most of the problems arising from its overly ambitious engineering (and brings it closer to MPM scale). I have not yet transformed it back to Robot Mode, so I can't speak to that part of the transformation, but so far I am extremely pleased. I knew what I was getting into after watching this video, which made me want to get it, and I watched the JTI multiple times before attempting to do the transformation, and even had to take a break until the next day to get the tanker fitting together properly, but the end result is just too good! BTW, I would have appreciated the JTI and this video to show the right arm/leg transformations, in particular because the situation of the fingers on the right hand in the cab is important for fitting the head. Also, pushing the metal cage section back and leaving a slight gap with the accessory tanker piece left a slight gap where I dropped the folded up gun, and then covered it with the tarp before wrapping up the chains. Not the most elegant solution, but it gets the job done. Love your videos, EMGO, and always appreciate your careful, detailed JTI and reviews!

Thank-you for this guide! Even though the transformation was complicated, my God does Macron look amazing in both modes, currently my favorite figure hands down, amazing paint and deco, nothing broke, mostly enjoyable transformation. Love this figure and I went with him after Unique Toys released their DOTM Megatron as I don't like how that version looks in vehicle mode. Happy with my decision!
I really enjoyed watching this! Megs looks awesome! I knew it was, “One of those” when I saw the time. It’s been a while. I had to make sure I had time to watch this in its entirety. I appreciate the part learning the instructions starts in vehicle mode. Will consider picking this up. Thank you for your efforts on working the transformation. Awesome video EmGo!
I think this is the first time I looked at a figure and audibly went "no *way* that transforms" before seeing you posted a Just Transform It alongside this video.
This doesn't feel like black magic, as that requires an intuitive and good transformation with little to no excess kibble in either mode, the transformation is just way too long and miserable to be classified as black magic. Well, that's what I think at least.
Yeah, no. Watching that transformation gave me anxiety lol It being a movie bot is no excuse. I have DX9’s TLK Hot Rod and it’s transformation is pretty dang fun. Unique Toys have been killing it with their movie bots as well. Alien Attack is still stuck in 2014 when all 3P Transformers were over engineered.

It looks great in both modes, but I could feel Emgo's pain. I've seen enough of his videos to know that if there's a slight difference to the 'Heeeeey my peoples' intro, that it's for good reason. There's also the subtle hesitance to move onto the transformation stage, and the exhausted `Jesus... ' when he was done. I mean, I'd still buy it if I could, maybe one day. But should that day come, I'm gonna think back to this video and likely spend some time in thought about it. Thanks for another awesome (however painful) video, mate. ✊🏽
Just got this guy recently, and it is for a specific type of people. It isn't so much like messing with a transformer as it is putting together a 10,000 piece puzzle. While quite sturdy in either robot or vehicle mode, in mid transformation it is recommended to baby it a bit so as not to break anything. I myself love insanely complex transformations, but I do agree that significant complexity does not always mean it's a good design. Only buy this if you think you have the patience to sit down and transform it somewhat carefully for around an hour. I myself quite like the figure and it's complexity, but it isn't for everyone. It does look pretty awesome though.
emgo says it's not good engineering he's wrong it is the best engineering that is done in a transformer. hats off to the ones who made such a marvellous megatron transformer
when i first clicked on the video i thought it was just the robot mode, they way that it look their was no way that i could be transformered this was very nice 🔥 🔥
I don't know what's more painful, the transformation or watching the movie. But i have to admit it's amazing someone could design this, and the paint is incredible.
For me, I'd say the transformation is much more painful; with the movie, I can at least (try to) get some mileage out of it by just turning off my brain, and I can't do that with this one
Cons :honestly this Megatron isn't COMPLETLY accurate in terms of robot mode goes and same with the truck mode Pros: the addition to Igor is nice ( I say that very loosely lol ) and it does still maintain that DOTM Megs look
Really really fantastic detail and paintwork, both robot and truck mode. I want to own this two of it, one for robot mode only, and other one for truck mode only. I avoid transforming it.
From what I've seen so far, this appears to be the most accurate, fully funtional DOTM Megatron of all including the upcoming ones. Not to say those other ones are bad-- and I'm sure the Unique Toys one will offer a smoother transformation-- but if you examine that figure you can tell they couldn't pull off as much accuracy and sacrificed function in truck mode (it appears the trailer cannot turn but on AAT Mackron, it can). I may go against the grain on this one but I think I like this AAT one the best and will probably buy it soon. I find that I rarely play with my MPM style transformers-- some of them I've actually never transformed. I just pose them how I like them and display them-- but it's still important to me that they are fully capable of full, accurate transformations. So this figure is kinda perfect for me. At most I'll probably transform him twice, once to keep in vehicle mode for awhile since it's so gorgeous, and eventually back to robot mode where he will probably remain the rest of his life. Perfect for me, and definitely looks worlds better than CID. This transformation reminds me of the 3rd party Bonecrusher-- which I also own. The transformation was definitely a pain but that figure is so amazing that today he is still one of my absolute favorites. I think I'll probably have to put him back in vehicle mode to make room for this Megatron because my shelves are crowded! Anyway, thanks for the thorough review.
The proportions on the AAT seem off to me. This right arm( our left) was a lot bigger and longer compared to what we see here on AAT. On the UT version, while still not as accurate as the NewAge version, is more accurate to what we see in the movie compared to Mackron. Also, the chest region is incredibly blocky in some areas, specially on the sides. Both the NewAge and UT versions have a better chest region compared to AAT here in terms of movie accuracy. Personally, I think UT will be the best version of the three, with NewAge coming as a close 2nd. Purely basing it off of their DOTM Soundwave, which is amazing. I just can’t see Mackron holding a candle to those releases once those come out. But hey, that’s the amazing thing about 3rd party companies, you’re spoiled for choices since a lot of companies are doing the same figures atm
@@patrickgancarczyk6199 Yeah I actually agree, those two areas were probably my only minor gripes (mostly the arms) because they seem slightly smaller than they should be. But he could be posed in a way that minimizes how noticeable it is. I have the DOTM Soundwave (Mista) and you're right, he is amazing. Their Megatron looks like he is going to be awesome too. The UT version looks great too, and I have the Newage Galvatron, Lockdown, and the Hotrod they collabed on with DX9. But I think deciding factor for me is the vehicle mode and the trailer articulation. To me that makes him displayable in vehicle mode, which I may do for a while. I just think it would look awkward if he was always just lined up straight. And personally, I really like the robot mode on this one too, so I'm pretty much sold. I've got the oversized AAT Dino KO and he's a pain in the ass but a great figure. I don't touch my toys often so the transformation being a hassle really doesn't bother me, I even still have some I haven't transformed yet. I just sit down with the attitude of "I'm gonna be here for a while," and put on something to watch while I work lmao. You're right though, we have so many great options right now for DOTM Megs. I would really like to see a Sideways come out, and a Crosshairs.
Let's hope their dreads are better engineered. Unique toys will ne my go to for this version of megs. But alien attack looks like they are getting better at making figures since their optimus.
Ha, “scream into a pillow…” That transformation looks intimidating. Emgo, you’re a master of your craft. I’m truly impressed with your patience. Figure looks great, but I’d just leave it in robot mode after watching all that nonsense.
Is it strange that I'd leave this one as truck mode instead of robot mode? I mean, sure, megs is megs, but, that truck is a beauty and a monster. Also, that paintjob is doing the work. Makes it look weathered, broken, and even helps the eye ignore the tiny flaws.
You know, I was just about to recommend this one and look at you... Getting the drop on me. Sheesh, that thing makes the devil savior cement truck look easy.

I didn't look at the video length when I clicked, but as soon as I heard you say it's one of 'those' transformations I was like: oof, I gotta come back when I have more free time.
I used to not care too much for DotM Megs' design, but the Mad Max Mack Megs has grown on me over time
I've never thought that Michael Bay Will represent the trailer transformers in Dotm Megatron like Ultra Magnus in G1 Series
The name of this one kinda makes sense because in DOTM, Megatron has the form of a Mack Semi truck
I think this is the first time I looked at a figure and audibly went "no *way* that transforms" before seeing you posted a Just Transform It alongside this video.
"The ghost of Christmas past Meg's!" Lol . With the old tarp&chains deal.
Thanks Emgo for suffering through this transformation so we don't have to!
I work on BMWs for a living. I know German engineering when I see it 😂😂
The design looks pretty amazing but the transformation looks like they apply some dark magic.
This doesn't feel like black magic, as that requires an intuitive and good transformation with little to no excess kibble in either mode, the transformation is just way too long and miserable to be classified as black magic. Well, that's what I think at least.
I think i prefer this one over the Unique Toys R-05.... bcs paint the and tank is better imo
Yeah, no. Watching that transformation gave me anxiety lol
It being a movie bot is no excuse.
I have DX9’s TLK Hot Rod and it’s transformation is pretty dang fun.
Unique Toys have been killing it with their movie bots as well.
Alien Attack is still stuck in 2014 when all 3P Transformers were over engineered.
Mascot: Where would be without him?
Me: fighting a different villain every other week
Damn this guy is longer and harder to transform than the Wei Zang Prime
time for a redo of DUDE WHERES MY COUCH? that or maybe...a long awaited part 2??? i would pee my pants i swear...ive been watching you since i was like 7-8 and im 17 now, youve inspired me to stay a geek and stay proud, thanks emgo!!
There was nothing subtle about my feelings here lol
I remember watching your video when I was a kid. Damn time sure fly fast
"WAVE!, WAAVE!!"
"what is it"
"THEY GOT MY NAME WRONG!!!!"
Emgo, thank you in taking the prep time to get ready for this video. And then, doing everything all over again for this video.
For a nice clean screen accurate look, I don't mind an intricate transformation.
"Are we having fun yet? I'm not"
Just be glad you're not one of those stop motion reviewers.
As I am watching this, I can picture the DOTM Megatron transformation noise and him growling and saying "ALL HAIL MEGATRON!!!"
Spaghetti-tron
Admirable patience though emgo!
emgo says it's not good engineering he's wrong it is the best engineering that is done in a transformer. hats off to the ones who made such a marvellous megatron transformer
when i first clicked on the video i thought it was just the robot mode, they way that it look their was no way that i could be transformered this was very nice 🔥 🔥
Sheesh! And I thought MPM-8 was hard to transform.
in a moment, hi look's like a unfrozen lobster on a kitchen table) when you transform him)
Just starting to watch but this thing transforms? Looks like a statue figure.
Painful, but yes, it transforms
I don't know what's more painful, the transformation or watching the movie. But i have to admit it's amazing someone could design this, and the paint is incredible.
For me, I'd say the transformation is much more painful; with the movie, I can at least (try to) get some mileage out of it by just turning off my brain, and I can't do that with this one
They say if you stop mid transformation, mackron is as long as your small intestin!
Cons :honestly this Megatron isn't COMPLETLY accurate in terms of robot mode goes and same with the truck mode
Pros: the addition to Igor is nice ( I say that very loosely lol ) and it does still maintain that DOTM Megs look
You can probably put some micromasters or minifigures in the seats cuz the top lifts open and it seems like there's enough space to
The transformation sequence here is better entertainment than any actual Michael Bay TF movie :D
I was honestly shocked when you were able to transform this
Hear me out, I know the transformation is complete bonkers but........it's lowkey impressive lol
Emgo: "we're gonna be here a while"
looks at the timestamp: 10:50 out of 53:48
Me: oh boy...
Your my favorite reviewer by a country mile so if this thing gives a master "Transformer" guy a hard time I wouldn't even open the dang box.
You can hear him slowly losing his marbles and going through all 7 stages of grief
Let's hope their dreads are better engineered. Unique toys will ne my go to for this version of megs. But alien attack looks like they are getting better at making figures since their optimus.
Wow the review not a long time but the transformation very Long Time!
When I saw that the video is 54 minutes for a two-mode Transformer, I know it was one of THOSE transformations.
It's a helluva paint job though. This is probably my favorite movie Megatron vehicle mode.
Ha, “scream into a pillow…” That transformation looks intimidating.
Emgo, you’re a master of your craft. I’m truly impressed with your patience.
Figure looks great, but I’d just leave it in robot mode after watching all that nonsense.
Poor Emgo sounded just so exhausted at the end of the video
Wow they really pulled the tank off and it looks good
Is it strange that I'd leave this one as truck mode instead of robot mode? I mean, sure, megs is megs, but, that truck is a beauty and a monster. Also, that paintjob is doing the work. Makes it look weathered, broken, and even helps the eye ignore the tiny flaws.
this is the best transformation of a megatron. could'nt be made better!
I’ve been dreading this video cos of what you were saying about it on ur live streams 😂
You know, I was just about to recommend this one and look at you... Getting the drop on me. Sheesh, that thing makes the devil savior cement truck look easy.
Thank you for all the hardwork! That was a Nightmare!
