Loved the review Aaron, great to see you break it down and show appreciation for the perfumer, I think Aventus is ‘nice’ but it’s never blown me away like other similar priced fragrance, and it doesn’t seem to last on my skin 🤷♂️

Love this review. Felt like I was watching a theatrical play. Amazing! I bought the cologne because the aventus was out of stock. I personally liked the cologne better. It felt a little less musky.

Hi Aaron! Excellent content, thank you for sharing your knowledge with the community. Just a tip on filming your videos - try diffusing your key light and invest in an RGB led to separate the left side from the background with a different color. Thanks again for all the work your are doing!

I didn’t know you were from Salford good to see perfumers and unicorns ;) in my local area. Hope to buy onyx soon. I’m a student but saving up for it. Another great review. I think a combination of popularity and price puts me off Aventus but some batches are enjoyable at times.

Great review, Aaron! I'm thinking of buying Aventus very soon because the samples amaze me from time to time. Everytime I smell it, it gives me a nice nostalgic feeling. Keep up with the reviews and your own fragrance line!
Because there are so many clones of Aventus, and because people say that Aventus batches can be wildly different and varying from one another, I might suggest buying a clone instead. Montblanc explorer or even ALT Executive. I own ALT exec and it's fantastic.

I love the Cologne, althought most people seems to dislike it. It has that really refreshing feeling with it, as if it is something you would splash instead of spraying. I have some good memories with it as well from summer 2019. If I only could keep one, I'd keep the original, but luckily I can own both.
The Cologne is a work of art.

This is engaging reviewing. Just one thing though...is it your expertise as a perfumer that allows you to comment so specifically on the scent profile of the dry down and performance so soon after spraying it? Or is that aspect of the review to be taken simply as an opinion of what you expect the fragrance to develop into after a few hours?

ATH did you mention ambergris as an ingredient? I’ve heard that Creed uses ambergris in almost all their product line. The reason I ask is that I took receipt of a bottle of creed the day before yesterday, applied it and all I could smell was PineSol (a cleaning product). I could to detect no other smells at all, no floral, no citrus and the fragrance was very linear. At the three hour mark mark I found the fragrance be very cloying. I even got a headache. The week before I received a bottle of green Irish tweed from a different supplier and it had the same Pinesol scent. I don’t know if my nose is reacting to the ambergris or the mask that you mentioned. What do you think?

His fragrance reviews are not to entertain but to inform and educate. I’ve learned a lot from this guy, he can be very theatrical and his channel has the darkness of a horror movie but I really like how intellegent his fragrance reviews can be.

I just bought a bottle after debating for a while. I enjoy the scent, but can find it can be a little too much at times. Haven’t received a compliment wearing it. Not that I’m seeking them, but you hear all the time that it is a compliment killer. Anyways great review!

I recommend to check out Milestone from Armaf, it is a nice clone; I owned MI and was looking for a good ( and cheap ) substitute.. Armaf gets the job done ;) Once you finish your bottle, you can try that one out... Cheers.

I just prefer the Cologne despite really appreciating Aventus. Aventus is something I’d love if it had the same notes balanced differently. The Cologne just makes sense as a fit in my collection

A really good place for perfume raw materials is Perfume supply house and creating perfume. Both in the US. Both very good. Im going to do a video on how to get started, Id watch that. It will be an long video

A compliment for sure as he was a beautiful man and a great talent to the world. BTW great idea filming to the negative black background. I really enjoy your content and I trust your thoughts on creed viking. I'm very confused currently. I fell in love with the bright spicy woody and sea like nature of this perfume, but I miss the brutality and the smell of a purged village
left behind by a hord of Vikings.
Do you have any idea where I can find a fragrance, that can give me this bright, spicy opening like viking but also something that changes down the middle to something more brutal? But without musk.

it sucks that by making a good fragrances , backlash , hate and claims of overhype is majority of what the house gets back. everyone wants so badly to " unique " or different from the rest its kinda annoying because you can see it coming a mile away . Great and informative review ATH as always
