Hi there! I’m the person you pointed in your direction from Reddit. I’ve watched about 10 of your videos now and love your format - and especially love how you keep them shorter. So much nicer to watch than those hour long videos of people driving.
This is great information. The hubs and I both work full-time remote and when we head out to FT RV we will have to have at least a couple solid solutions and I think starlink is probably a must-have as a backup at least. And your safety point is a great one.
So now my next questions for you… the washer and dryer. Most people tell me they are more trouble than they are worth. I think spending my fun and awake time in a laundromat sounds sucky when I can be washing loads while I work all day. Since you guys have them - what’s your take?

First off thank you for the kind words on our videos and format! We try to keep the more travel vlog videos to around 12 to 15 minutes. We also try to keep them moving at a quick pace. The only exceptions to that rule are when we're doing informational content, length on those tend to be a bit longer. Or if it's a video on a more beautiful than normal place. Pacing on those tend to slow down so that the images of the place have time to tell their story. You'll also notice that when we're in those beautiful places there's not a lot of us yammering on camera. That's mainly because we don't want to be those "UA-camrs" that are interrupting everyone's enjoyment of nature, but also because when we're in a place like Glacier or Yellowstone or etc... those places are a hell of a lot more interesting and beautiful than our mugs. We let the place tell it's own story.
On to the washer and dryer. This was one of Toni's must haves when we upgraded from our travel trailer to our 5th wheel, and it has made life way easier. The argument most people make against it is that "Most RV parks have laundry facilities" And while that is true, we also discovered that a lot of times half the machines didn't work. Or in one case that facility was only open for 3 hours a day. Having the units in the rig just makes it so much more easier. We basically do a load a day when we have hookups and that keeps us in clean laundry all the time. If we are boondocking we don't do laundry to conserve water and grey tank space, but plan a full hookup spot afterwards and knock it all out in a day. After having them, we think a washer and dryer is a must.
One side note on the washer and dryer. If you go with a Splendide washer make sure you replace the supply hoses that it comes with with something better. The ones that it ships with have plastic fitting. That, along with an incompetent dealer, meant we wound up with a water leak in our rig right after we purchased it, I'll link that video below.
Lastly, as you move closer to going full-time please feel free to keep us in mind if you have any questions on it. You can ping us here or even email us, our email address is in our About sections at the top of our channel page. We're always happy to share whatever knowledge we have gained while living this lifestyle.

We use Starlink and have loved it. Our travels have been exclusively out west, so we can usually get a clear view of the sky. I do put it on the end of 20’ telescoping pole to get it above shorter trees and other obstacles. I’ve never needed it for this reason, but I had the same idea about having access to help in an emergency even without a cell signal.

@@TwoTravelingTeachers we have a Flag Pole Buddy on the back of the rig that we hang ours on. I also kept the kickstand that came with it and we’ve had to use it a couple times to find open sky. All in all a big fan of Starlink! Thanks for watching!!

We use Starlink and T-mobile for Internet solution and so far we haven't had any issues getting connected. The brewery is great and definitely fruited beers. We loved Wisconsin when we were there last summer especially the cheese and cheese curds 🤤🤤!

Yeah, now that we have been out of Wisconsin for a while, and ran out of the squeaky cheese curds, we're missing the squeaky cheese curds!!

We really liked Wisconsin, although we didn't see a lot of it. Chippewa Falls was a lovely little town! And of course the cheese curds were amazing!!! According to the locals the good cheese curds are the ones that squeak when ya chew them... They were right!! Miss you guys as well. Hoping to see you next year as we're heading east again.

Hotspot as we travel mostly for just a week or so at a time. Last summer we did rv to Alaska from Indiana and we gone for 7 weeks but still used hotspot when we needed internet.

Yep, Hotspot's are a great idea if you're a part timer and have less critical needs for internet than a remote worker. In a lot of cases you already have hotspoting on your phone, or you can get a hotspot device from your carrier. Thanks for adding this!!

Thanks for the advice on Starlink. We live in Ohio and will probably be in this part of the country a lot when we get started. I’ll have to see how it works here. I wonder if Camping with the Connifers use it?

The Confers commented here that they are using TMobile.. Last year when we were in Ohio, we were in Columbus and Cincinnati, we only had out Pepwave and Verizon SIM card and it worked fine. You could ping Mike and Shelly Kaye and ask them what plan they're using. I'll guarantee you they will be happy to share the information, they're good people like that!!
