All three parties are a similar flavour of neoliberalism, they all support the corporations before Canadians, axing the carbon tax won't make things cheaper, the prices are already baked into everything, it will just be more money in companies pockets, I can see the argument for not raising it, but axing it will just take away our carbon rebates while we still pay more for everyday items
Not to mention the conservatives are slowly becoming more and more like the Republicans to the south, that is socially conservative attacking minorites and not really running on any policy

Food prices are up 10.6% year over year from 2023. Inflation hitting a BOC target rate of 2% just means prices are not increasing as much. Food prices are still insane. Freeland is out of her gord if she thinks it's so much better now. Interest rates are coming down because productivity has nose dived and we're tetering on a recession.

Saying that inflation is now only 2% higher still means that groceries are now $204 for the same basket.

If it cost 100$ to buy a basket of groceries six years ago, and this year it costs $200, and inflation" goes down to 2%" that basket of groceries still went up to $204 dollars.
