I've been getting a lot of food from Australian hiking food company Campers Pantry - i love their basics for making my own meals on track. I purchased the food in this vid with my own money but they gave me a code to share with the hiking community 10% code KATEGRAROCK camperspantry.com.au/KATEGRAROCK
So beautiful! Thanks for sharing, Kate.
It’s such a stunning part of the world. So glad you enjoyed the video.
Awesome, Kate. 🙏👍
Btw, some of your commentary cracks me up. 😂 Don't ever change!
Haha thanks mate. Let ya freak flag fly. Thanks for the lovely comment
Such a beautiful and soothing feeling! Panoramic shots are simply amazing! 👏👏
Thanks mate appreciate it
what a spot, Australia is awesome. Both of those star shows were top shelf and that ledge 24m in was the best seat ever. And for what it’s worth, I don’t think you can overdo pesto, great adventure, thank you ✌🏻
Haha thanks mate. Never enough pesto. Cheers
Thank you Kate for this little reminder that in the right places it's often enough to walk a couple of k's out of sight. Not every trip needs to be an expedition. (I have a few issues in the ankles and feet 🤷🏻♂)
Absolutely mate. I need to do more of this. It was so enjoyable. Best of luck getting out there
Wow how amazing to get to hike Kalbarri solo and after the rain. I have never seen it looking green before. Oh those morning reflections and stars at night. It's the best video I have ever seen of Kalbarri, you really did a great job of catching its majesty. Well done getting there Kate!
Wow thanks Fiona. That means a lot. Appreciate it
I love how much you love our environment Kate! I felt how much you were in THAT minute at 28:00! Gorgeous landscape too. So good! Thanks for still posting your adventures... made me think I should get back to my MRX series one day soon 😉
Oh, and you got a drone!
Haha, the stick at the waterline... classic! Anyone that's spent time near a rising or falling waterway knows EXACTLY how important that little stick in the mud is! I have set my alarm to wake up at 11pm, 12 midnight, 1am, 2am, and every hour after that until sunrise to check on that little stick to make sure my tent wasn't about to be flooded in the only "campable" spot on a rising river. Almost as stressful as camping under gum trees next to a flooded river during a storm... almost!
Amy!!!! I always get a smile when I hear from you. Hope you are doing so well. Yeah plugging away with the UA-cam. Hope you are still having adventures
@KateGrarock awww, thanks mate! I always love seeing you pop up in my feed 👍 This year has been crazy busy for me, so not enough time for many adventures sadly. I'm hoping next year is a little more settled, but it's been a fun ride learning 2 new jobs, so I can't complain! Got out for one decent paddle between Robinvale and Mildura with a couple of friends thankfully... got to make the most of my new canoe next year... she's built for touring!
Looking forward to seeing what you've got planned ahead, and trying to guess which part of the country you'll pop up in next! Take care mate 😊
Thanks mate. Hope 2025 brings more adventures.
It’s been way too long since I’ve been up that way! This video is a reminder to head north instead of always south of Perth (although our south rocks too!!!)
Oh you are spoiled for choice over there. Would love to live over there for a few years.
Awesome video Kate. What stunning country!! Those rock formations were absolutely majestic. We all appreciate your time in capturing that beautiful footage.
Those vivos would've given your feet a great workout 👍 (and massage lol) over all of those rocks. Also loved the little bit of bushcraft too 😉 ....nice fires 🔥.
Cheers, it was a great spot to get back to basics! Appreciate the words of encouragement. Thanks
Welcome back kate 😍
Thanks. It’s so good to be back. I’m going to aim to get a vid out the first Sunday of the month.
Hello from Norway Kate. What an amazing environment! Thanks for showing us up close, what a treat 😊👍🏻 Paul.
Glad you enjoyed it! Hello to Norway. We have a Norwegian family member.
What a lovely, laid-back trip. So good to be able to explore far from home. The light and colours are different from over this side and you capture that beautifully. Lots of good camp cooking ideas too!
It’s such a beautiful part of the country. Thanks so much for watching
Great to see you out and about again Kate. (I was recently wondering, 'Wheres Kate' haha) Your filming and story telling is incredible. I have been up there a few times. Those rock formations and colours are insane hey! You would go nuts for Karijini. Its a whole new world!
Thanks so much. I really appreciate it. Yes. I so want to get out to karijuni one day.
Great footage. Kalbarri is a magical place, indeed. Thanks for taking us along.
Thanks! I was so captivated by the beauty of the place. Thanks for watching 😀😀
Great video Kate! Nice change withe the music too!
Thanks a lot. 😀😀😀
What a privilege to see a Black flanked rock wallaby. Re the '3 corner jack' at 10.32, I think they would make mince meat of your pad, I had countless bike tyre punctures in Kalbarri from what we called 'triple-gees'. If you love Kalbarri, you need to go to Karijini (tho' not the place for a solo hike). Thanks for the video.
Totally I was so worried they would smash the tent and airpad. They got a few foot jabs round camp. Yeah so want to do karajini one day
Outstanding. What an awesome place. 😃
Thanks mate was pretty special
Loved this video, Kate! I like the slower pace - makes me think I could do it too! But even if I don't, I can enjoy second hand nature through this - thanks for the effort you take in making these.
Thanks so much Ingrid. You absolutely could do it
Oh my gosh saaaaame here with the creek/ trickling water noises sounding like voices! I've experienced that so often on solo wanders. Absolutely beautiful scenery and so peaceful to watch & listen as you explore. Great content Kate, can't wait for my boots to wander about WA too one day 😍
It’s such a peaceful and beautiful place to wander! Thanks for the beautiful message. I hope you get out there soon.
Loved this beautiful exploration Kate. That’s what we enjoy-the amble. Taking in the beauty that’s surrounding us. Seeing this area with the water flowing must have been incredible. The rock as 🥰🤩 ~Nicole
Thanks Nicole yes I must say I’m going to try to do more of this style. Happy hiking to you
Even though you couldn't go as far as you'd like, i think you are probably super lucky to see the area after rain. I love the sound of rain and water most of all when camping.
Oh... and what was the meal you had for lunch and dipped your crudités in?
Thanks so much. It was hummus. Campers pantry make a freeze dried one it’s delicious. Thanks for your continued support for the channel I really appreciate it
34:35 Allow me to translate: Bird, Bird, Bird, Bird is the word!
Hahahahaha
The Rivingtons?!
A bit different to your usual country out east!
It's definitely a different part of the country! So Lucky to get over west for work
Vivobarefoot? How did they hold up? Beautiful
Absolutely amazing I’ve been wearing these most of the year and done some epic slippery gorges and hard hikes. They are my favourites
Was that hummus you ate with the cucumber next to the river? It looked amazingly delicious - what was the consistency like?
It was. It was so delicious. Campers pantry do a freeze dried version. It’s super smooth and can be as thick or runny as you want by adding water. It’s such a treat on trail.
@@KateGrarock I love this hummus. I mix 50 per cent water and 50 per cent garlic infused olive oil, bumps up taste and calories
@@noeleneproud5334 hello that sound bloody amazing thanks.
@@KateGrarock Sounds amazing! I'm always skeptical about whether these kinds of textures can rehydrate properly without being weird, but maybe I'll have to check this out.
Your content is so engaging. Do you think you’d ever go full time with it?
I’d bloody love to thanks for the kind words. But sadly there just isn’t enough money there right now to support me and my family. But maybe one day. Appreciate the support
@ keep smashing out the great vids, til then!
@@flash2mc thanks mate. Yeah one by one. cheers. love the encouragement
I’m having cognitive dissonance. I thought you were a vegetarian and seeing you eat various ‘meats’ is making my head spin. (I am a mega meat eater).
I love meat in moderation. I just didn’t want to kill native animals on alone
