    This is pretty cool. I wouldn’t worry about length. Sometimes it’s fun to get more lengthy explanations about certain things.

    My understanding is that Poulouriscaig was a clearance village (a village established due to the Highland clearances) and so would not have been there at that earlier date.
    My great-grandfather was from Poulouriscaig. Most of his children I believe went overseas (my grandfather did too but returned to Britain).

      I was under the impression that Poulouriscaig was early 1800s as well. However, this map from the 1700s shows it there as a settlement. Very interesting indeed.
