- I have an enormous level of nostalgia for the original version of this track! I think this may have been one of the tracks that I heard on the CD first and then in the show. I started the show in 2002.
The original track was written by Mike Smith and first debuted in Episode 96 - "Explosion of Anger" for the scene in which Master Roshi is talking to Yajirobe about how he's always had a sixth sense about Goku and the latter finally unlocked some new power (the Super Saiyan transformation).
It's a really beautiful track that matches Roshi's discovery perfectly in my opinion. The CD version is shorter than what was originally written for the episode so the CD version must have been taken from some later episode.
Here, I wanted it to feel the same all the way through but have just a bit of the Rakeem sprinkles. The original is such a feel good track with a hint of melancholy. I hope I did it justice!

The scene with Roshi sensing Goku on Namek always moved me. It truly captured what Goku was trying to grapple with, a legendary almost god like power few ever witness. One Saiyan whom, in fact generations ago and only in oozaru form, actually died because it overwhelmed him. It's why I could never get over the way they cheapened SSJ1 after.
I feel like Toriyama could have gone a completely different direction after the Namek arc.
Not that I don´t like the android saga, but in many ways it felt like a step back in scale. Even if the characters themselves are supposed to be stronger, we went from galactic emperor and a 1000 year old prophecy of a legandary warrior. To fighting teenage cyborgs and a frankenstein monster back on earth.
Idk, I think there was so much potential lost. I would have kept the story on space, there is so much more room for creativity there. And yeah, I wouldn´t do any more super saiyan forms.
Even Vegeta riffs on it a bit in the Saiya-Man saga. "When was it that the legendary warrior of the Saiyan race was reduced to a child's plaything??"
Considering how there still aren't any fantastic rips of the later portion of this track, this is really great to have. Really liked the addition of the remixes that played throughout the show, the Korin's Tower one in particular. Good work once again!
This one always brought a lot of Suspense too the Show

I've listened to this soo many times, maximum vibes🔥. Too bad a Goku's spirit bomb remix would be to grueling to produce, but one day I have doubts you'd do it and it'll be the best remix of that track
I'm not saying no to "Goku's Spirit Bomb" but I'm contemplating if I want to do that one only because of its length. It'd be like 10 minutes long 😂 Most would probably not stick around so long

Wow it sounds so clean nice job man! Love the choice of additional instruments too (Scarlamare and Spaceport being personal favs) . This always had a chill melancholic vibe and it really makes the classic "space voices" shine. I was gutted that there was never a full version of this but you have certainly done it justice and didn't dissapoint so thank you. On a side note not specific to this track but all of your remakes I really love your open Hi Hat usage (Proteus1 Rock drums I think?) with the panning and rhythm it's always spot on and authentic. Keep up the good work as always!
A little story since you mentioned "Spaceport" which is one of my favorites as well: When I was getting my first QS6, I had to go to the guy's house who was selling it (like an hour and a half away) and it was this really big house with instruments everywhere. When I went in, he said I could demo it and the QS6 was hooked up to some really nice speakers. I went over to it and the sound was on "Spaceport" and I started to play and with his insane speaker system, it sounded like it was surrounding the entire living room. So about 30 seconds in, he goes "alright that's enough... any more and I might have to re-think selling this thing" 😂😂 I stopped playing so fast!
@@RakeemsReMakes Spaceport would sound crazy on a surrround sound system like that it's definitely up there with the best sounds on the QS6. Good job he didn't rethink it too much! XD I know for sure I wouldn't sell mine now.
@@Matjestix Yeah the QS instruments are so unique I can't see how anyone would even want to sell them. But I guess not everyone likes synth sounds 😂
This song is easily 20/10. Could you make a remake of the bgm called Calm? It’s the one where Goku and Krillin are fishing before the Cell Games contemplating about life.

This one constantly comes up 😂 it's on the list but further down the line. Mardamace did a version years ago which is amazing and you guys should listen to that but since people keep asking for that one, I'll do it. Not any time soon but I'll do it.
