If an audio file can only be heard in one ear, you can right click it and go to 'clip attributes', then to 'audio' and then change 'mono' to 'stereo' and 'mute' to 'embedded channel 2'. (at least it's like this in DaVinci Resolve) Furthermore, I think you hit the spot with the pacing in this video and it was really enjoyable :)
