@@Goomingnshrooming Yes I did. Had a hell of a time bringing it up 800+ miles but we got her. I've been driving it around town these past, oh, 9 or 10 months and it sure gets a lot of attention. I use it to go to the Post Office, Bank and little Store. I honestly don't know how I ever lived without it.

@@kevinawptistic1979 Duncan Imports seams to be good at getting in the clean older ones for a reasonable price. My next one will be a newer one and I found a more local place for that. I'm a big guy and would prefer the larger cabs of the newer ones. Thought I did make a huge improvement with installing the smaller 12" steering wheel with the flat part on the bottom that was a game changer pretty much and I highly recommend doing that as an upgrade.

this is my dream truck
this is way better than an ATV with a Mini Cargo Bed in the back..
it pretty much gets the same fuel economy figures as a motorcycle.. it has a more comfortable ride, you don't soaked when you got caught in a rain, it probably has an adequate heater and A/C (if you live in Florida)
4WD Kei Trucks/Vans not the best for serious off roading, but it's just there so you don't get bogged down by a mud pit or a really steep hill
plus you could carry pretty much carry anything in the back.. Tools, a Spool of Fencing Wire, and other farmyard stuff
I got the Carbureted Suzuki Kei Truck with a Tipping Bed as a replacement for the good old Farm ATV.. pretty neat and thrifty little truck that is..
I'm gonna get one of these and a Suzuki cappuccino. Kei trucks/cars are so sick

Okay 4wd on a hill that doesn't need it is just wasting gas. 2wd all the time until you need 4wd which is one of many reasons I ordered the Sambar.
Can you do a video of a kei truck but you actually try to go as fast as possible. Like a squeeze Benz type video
I learned how to drive on one of these trucks and it also taught me how to drive a clutch
I wonder what some forged Pistons and a decent little turbo would do for one of these, or maybe a supercharger if it's a carbureted engine
They come stock in turbo and super charger

I've already been approved at the bank. I'm in the selection phase. Won't be long now. I'm looking at the Sambar because of the four cylinder engine at the back axle.

Just bought my Sambar, drove it three hours home burning more oil than gas. Engine is out and apart and tracking number says rebuild kit will be here any second!

@@bendaga All good, it was an incredible deal because of the wear. As a side note, this truck ran gravel roads for years and when I took it apart I found the air pipe to the carburetor half off. Probably ingesting tons of dust for years. Wiped the rings right out of it.
they just made these legal to drive in texas. and i have been checking out ever one of these and i think its going to be a sambar. for me. and i hope to be able to pay off all my small bills and able to get one right after the first of the year.

Once I saw this car I fell in love. But I’m scared it would be difficult to drive for me I found one in my local dealer. I just got my license and the car is manual and right seating, any tips?
I've never owned one but they're probably pretty forgiving and would make a great vehicle to learn manual with. I know they have a short first gear that makes it easier to take off without stalling. The shift pattern is the same with right-hand drive or left, the locations of the gears don't change, and the pedals are in the same place, not reversed like in a mirror, the clutch is still on the left, etc. Probably easy enough when you get used to it.
