Apart from charging times being annoying, the biggest inconvenience of EV ownership on long road trips is actually having to hunt for a charging station, one that is actually working and one that isn’t a million miles away from your route!
I currently own a 2018 XC90 T6 and it’s excellent car in my opinion, love everything about it, very practical, elegant and very clean fuel efficient, I do love how the EX90 looks as well, can’t wait to see them on the roads!! #Volvoforlife
I own a Volvo T6 2017. I humbly think Volvo needs to step up to remain competitive, the xc90 has looked the same for almost a decade. This ex90 was there chance but it’s already being compared to the Kia EV9.
Actually the amount of different cars that are being recalled for fires is ridiculous, seems to me too many corners are being cut and it's putting peoples lives at risk.
A lot of corners are def being cut for sure my friend. They cheap out on the stuff we can't see so they can focus on the stuff we can see like the 30 inch screens, touch haptics, and other goofy lights or diamond stitching
Very good-looking SUV, I suppose this EV push will continue. The hybrid I understand, if it was really an honest transition to EV, I think hybrids would be ephasized instead of almost ignored. 18 minutes, a half hour, some of the charging stations don't work. I'm not an anxious person by nature, but I think for me, the amount of anxiety introduced to the driving equation by an EV, the government can keep paying people to buy them with my tax money, but if that's required to sell them..........well anyway nice looking vehicle, hard pass. As always, great review. Ps an EV fire in your garage, albeit rare is scary. I know they are being pushed, lease incentives, etc, but those incentives are in place to move the cars, then you're stuck with your EV and your Biden sticker, neither an asset but freefalling depreciating units.
So many great points you just made my friend, as always you are on point with your insights and I always love hearing them. Charge times and unreliable charging network right there is a big turn off. And you're right they're offering insane levels of incentives and tax rebates due to the lack of demand, they're hoping people will take advantage of these super cheap leases but at the end, as you mentioned you're stuck with a totally useless depreciating product. Yea EV fires are certainly rare but when they do occur, it's beyond scary for sure.

Absolutely heard a lot of people complain about electrify America stations that are down when they arrive.

volvo needs to just make all of their cars hybrids or phevs instead of mild hybrids and just focus on that then they can implement evs!
