Paying for a high value mechinical watch is actually is not necessary because we have a cheaper and more accurate option in our phones and quartz watches, BUT us hobbyist purchase them because it is ART. And this Freak is ART which is innovative and very cool. I actually near purchased a freak nearly 4/5 years ago and didn't pull the trigger because ultimately I look at my watch a lot in my line of work quite frequently (which take a few seconds) and my brain is used to looking at 2 handers. I have a few watches that tell the time unconventionally, and cant register it instantly, hence I don't wear them at all. However, such a innovative piece of art in a time piece which is definitely a conversation starter. Cool watch and review. Might purchase one if it was much cheaper though.
Great watch and looking forward to a more detailed review. Many new Freaks units on resale in Singapore, likely to be a grease to obtaining a Rolex GMT or Daytona but was never a first choice for the buyer.
Not really thought of this brand before. Like this watch seems a bit crazy, but on the good side. Interesting their use of block chain. Like this concept. Incredible any high value watch can be sold without papers. Things should be verifiable.
I think Ulysses Nardin is a highly respected brand. Definitely a brand that only if you’re into watches you’d know. They make very innovated nice-looking timepieces. I’d like to find out more about value-retention of their watches.
That’s why I love watching your videos cause it’s not just about Rolex an AP you show all types an great videos on all of them Ulyesse nardin is definitely a great watch that doesn’t get as much attention as the rest love your videos keep them comin 👍
Ok I have to say what others are thinking…how the hell do you tell the time on this? I notice one obvious marker (the minute hand?) but where’s the other hand? Wish your video had explained that.
For those wondering, while not clearly shown in this video, if you head to 2:47 you can see there is a white block on the outer ring of the dial which lands over an hour marker. This spins with the watch movement, the minute hand is the obvious and large white hand marker at the end of the elevated movement. At video time 2:47 it's roughly 5:56am/pm, at video time 5:17 it's roughly 3:51am/pm.
There is only one hand, the minute marker, on the dial itself on the outer ring there is a white block which tells you the hours. You can use the notches and the opposite end of the movement to work out seconds based on how many notches it has travelled.
Love Ulysse Nardin, their movements are inovative, good loking and different from other manufactures. For me far better choice than Rolex.

Masterpiece! I like the ingenuity, the freak is in a league of its own.
A masterclass; piece of art for sure, my guy gave us all that information and detail I still can’t figure out how to tell the time 🤦♂️
Yes, I just realized that too!!! 🤦🏽♂️ I’ll patch in the next one
What a cool watch! 😍 a bit phallic looking, no?!
😆 hahaha Noooo

Very nice, one question tho, how do you tell the time?

When you can spend that amount of money, you got employees who tell you what time it is 😄
I couldn’t figure it out. To me, reading the time comes first.

Love UN, currently own a Marine Torpilleur and it always gets attention.
❤️
True art
The craziest watch in the world is the GS Kodo imo😎
It is a beautiful watch, but it is hard to see the time. Where are the hands?

Does it tell time?
