- In this episode we pull down the BIG BLOCK 502 engine in the EH Holden ive had since i was 16. We took it to the 1/8th mile some year back after she had been sitting for years and did a little engine damage . Time to dust her off and give it new life.
SO WHAT IS BACKSHED ALL ABOUT ?
WE ARE ALL ABOUT SAVING OLD CLASSIC CARS AND MODIFIYING SOME ALONG THE WAY TOO.
WE LOVE THE CLASSIC RESCUE , FIRST WASH ,FIRST START IN YEARS TYPE OF THING, GETTING OLD JUNK RUNNING AND DRIVING THEN PUT BACK ON THE ROAD AFTER YEARS OF BEING LEFT TO ROT IS WHAT WE DO.
IT DOESN'T MATTER IF YOUR INTO FORD , HOLDEN , CHEVY , BIG BLOCK SMALL BLOCK OR ANYTHING IN BETWEEN WE MIGHT HAVE A VIDEO FOR YOU TO WATCH. IVE HAVE AND HAVE HAD A LOT OF CARS INCLUDING XB COUPE , XY FACLON GT , EH HOLDEN , F100 , VB COMMODORE , HQ SEDAN AND WAGON , CORTINA , VALIANT AND SO MANY MORE SO THERE IS SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE. IN ON OF OUR VIDEOS I PRETTY MUCH WENT TO HEAVEN FINDING A WRECKING YARD / JUNKARD WHERE THERE WAS EVERYTHING YOU COULD DREAM OF INCLUDING A MONARO , CHARGER , VALIANT PACER , A FALCON COUPE , TORANA , CADILLAC , SOME CHEVY'S EVEN SOME JDM CARS LIKE DATSUN , NISSAN SKYLINE , MITSUBISHI SCORPION BUT IT DIDN'T STOP THERE EVEN 4X4 LIKE A HJ 45 TOYOTA LANDCRUISER AND A 60 SERIES WAGON . I REALLY HAVE NO BIAS I LOVE RESCUING THEM ALL SO DO STICK AROUND AS YOUR BOUND TO SEE SOMETHING YOU LIKE. CHEERS FOR TAKING THE TIME TO WATCH . MICK
I love that xf. I am currently doing its direct competition up back in the day. A 1991 vg commodore ute. I am a holden man, but love this era of falcon Ute.

My first car was a premier model of this very car.
179. It had bucket seats with a red interior. Really nice. I’d love it back now 40+ years later.
I felt I needed a V8 so got rid of it. Well,that car destroyed my license. Go caught speeding loads of times.
I miss that EH.
There’s a EH wagon that drives around here (Newcastle upon Tyne,England Uk) and it is beautiful!

I think you made the right decision to not chop the original bonnet
Hahaha yeah I did the car a long time ago but still couldn’t cut the original
The cut one is a 63 EH bonnet, hard to come by, couldn’t tell in pic what year the original bonnet was,
The white is 64

Nice car mate I set up my EH ute with a big block in 98 !! with a big block I built my own hadfield crossmember I rotated my rack forward a bit for a reason can’t remember why? Clearance I recall’ it was Tubbed too , then I moved to the USA sold it to a mate !! It’s in my video somewhere !! Cheers mate

The rack shaft would have touched the cross member so rotating forward would stop that, I recessed the top of the cross member to clear the shaft . I ha a bit of American iron coming up soon. 🍺👍
