Just FYI, bronze scales are much better than what chat was saying, especially when fightning the heart in act 4. Every x15 multiattack will do 45 free damage to the heart.
Love the vods so far! Watcher is so much fun, but it's so hard to get used to. I hope you keep having fun playing StS!
these are my favorite idle time companions right now, so keep them coming!
As a long time HotS player, never thought I'd like Slay the Spire as much as I'm liking watching your VODs! Thanks for uploading Grubby!
Heeeyyy! Congratulations on your fitst heart victory. Been playing this genre defining game since early access. Timeless gem
Playing Slay the Spire < Watching Grubby play Slay the Spire
47:01 people actually setup the intangible turn and also other relics (happy flower, nunchucku, ink bottle etc.) for some importance fightS. Check out Baalorlord he does that all the time.
Also, ironclad has so many exhaust interaction which can literally breaks the game. It is actually pretty op
1:30:16: Evolve+ was worth considering, since you already started each combat with 2 wounds in the deck (from the Mark of Pain boss relic), and some bosses and enemies can add additional statuses. Other than that, of the cards you skipped, Dual Wield+ in act 3 can also be worth a closer look: the ability to generate two extra copies of important attacks or powers (e.g. Whirlwind, Fiend Fire, or Panache) is very helpful in some boss and elite fights. And besides, regular enemies were basically no longer a threat at this point.
Dual wield Fiend Fire sounds like I’ll have a deck consisting of 10 cards soon xD
@@GrubbyPlays Haha! :D Worth mentioning that Dual Wield creates permanent copies of cards, so if you copy attacks without Exhaust, rather than either attacks with exhaust or powers, then in long fights your deck gets cluttered with them (similar to playing Anger). On the other hand, that also means that you can generate extra fodder for cards like Fiend Fire.
Ultimately Dual Wield is kind of a synergy card which requires drawing other cards at the right time, and hence it's not necessarily good in general. But once your deck is strong enough that you only have to fear bosses, such cards become more appealing. Or put differently, sufficiently strong decks need to ask themselves "how can I lose" and shore up such weaknesses.
Rupture is like the best warrior card
wpgg nice run
Love this, but the Moment where you took cleave over whirlwind 😅 hurt my Soul
Its about "you can choose to have a 2/3 Mana cleave"
As you noticed yourself, by transforming 3 strikes, your deck became a bit low on attacks at the start. There are decks that can win by mostly blocking, but those need some kind of scaling (e.g. Demon Form) to outlast the scaling effects of elites and bosses. So lack of attacks is an argument in favor of picking stuff like Iron Wave at 3:56, or picking Whirlwind+ over Cleave+ at 12:30 (since there are some turns where you don't need to block but just attack, but you don't have enough attacks to spend all your energy on).
Hit up Jorbs. He's really good and quite smart. His vids are pretty entertaining as well.
Call me crazy, but I actually like that Flame Barrier more than Offering in act 1
I just started the video, but flame barrier is almost an automatic win for me in Act 1 on Clad
Laughs in A20
It gets hard at like 10 maybe
