Well I have to tell ya, it's feedback like this that really makes doing these videos enjoyable for me. I really appreciate you taking the time to say that. I will do my best to keep them coming.
Now that i am confident about my oil pump and oil pump drive shaft clearances ill be watching this video tonight or possibly tomorrow!!!! Thanks again.
Awesome, you're very welcome.
This is turning into a great series!
Thank you sir Andy! Lots of videos to be made when doing something like this.
👍
I really like that gasket, Sure beats the old cork and rtv method. Thanks for the video! 👍
Absolutely!
Little dob is a great idea! Thank you for the video.
You're very welcome
A little dob will do ya! Kinda like the head to china walls, in those corners, but it is a must do.
😊great stuff mate
Thank you!
Looking good! I missed though if you degreed the cam? What is left, to tighten up the top end?
I did degree the camshaft. However, my footage was awful. I'm going to refilm that on my next rebuild and throw it in this Playlist.
I have had excellent results using a Moroso rubber steel core gasket also. Googled ACP gaskets, and comparing prices.
Oh ya right on. I bet those are pretty good. I'll have to try one next time.
@@AlfsMustangGarage Good but expensive. I hate leaks, big time. Oh, got the top end back on the 460. Small coolant leak at the rear china wall.................... Dammmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Raised torque to 31 or 32 ft pounds, will re-start and see if I will be pulling the manifold again, lol
Oh gosh ya I hate leaks. These old engines don't seal up as well as modern engines so we need all the help we can get.
@@AlfsMustangGarage Hi again Alex! Question sir. "IF" I have to repull the manifold to fix rear china wall weeping coolant, DO I have to install new intake gaskets again? I didn't use those rubber end seals, probably should have with a dab of Untra Grey on them and at the corners Thanks much! Appreciate your feedback.
Well I typically install new ones just because I feel like the expense of another set is easier to handle than the risk of having to do the job again.
I already bought an oil pan gasket from npd, and it's cork with rubber pieces for the front and back. Where do i use silicone on it?
👍
👍
So if I send you a back up 289, you will rebuild it for me to keep as a back up for my 67? Lol
Absolutely!
When u painted the oil pan did u brush it on.
Yes
Have you ever seen oil in the gas? And what would cause that situation?
I've never seen oil in a gas tank naturally. Sounds like your fuel is contaminated or your tank is due for replacement.
Is that a repop oil pan? or is it OEM? did you have to get a longer sump ?
Aftermarket reproduction pan. Did not have to change the sump.
Did you get my message on Facebook? I wish you were closer to me (Ohio). I would come work for you. Just because I love classic Mustangs that much. Lol
I did. And I responded. It's definitely hard to find good help. Helps to have passion though.
@@AlfsMustangGarage I sent you photos. I don't know any other way to contact you.
Now show how to do it in the car.
Already have a video for that 👍
