Im the one who suggest to you to react to TOO MUCH HEAVEN about 5months aho when you react to janis Joplin To love somebody cover...im so happy that you love the BEEGEES
Can't pick just one so I have to say all of them! The Bee Gees are the GREATEST group to EVER grace the music world......There will NEVER be ANOTHER group like them.....EVER AGAIN!! 💜
Baby your generation has missed all the good music from back in the day. I was born in 1955. I lived through all the good stuff. The Bee Gees wrote all their songs first and then they added the music to it which is opposite of what most song writrers do.Amazing talennt.
best Bee Gees song ever. Their biggest hit and their last No.1 single. Written by Barry & Maurice based on Maurices drum sample loop and Barry waking up one day with the chorus words and nothing else. The record company wanted the heavy drums taken off and the band refused thankfully.
Actually written by all 3 brothers but yes Mo created the so called "stomps" in his Miami garage using garbage can lids , not a drum machine. They were uploaded/sampled onto the drum machine and then copied to a CD. There are no actual drums on that track.
This song actually came to Barry in his sleep. He had to write it down before he went back to sleep. Recorder and a pen made this song possible. It woke him during the night.
One of them gets an ideas, Maurice punches it out on the piano, then they finish the tune. Then they write the lyrics that they want to go with the music. They never deviate from the melody they have written down. Whosever idea it was for the song, is the one that sings lead on it.
This song is great. Certainly among their best songs (To Love Somebody, For Whom the Bell Tolls, Alone the three others - all non disco). I have that same coffee cup.
Barry in a interview a few months ago said the Bee Gees created the music first that they would just start harmonizing and making sounds and the others would match it. They could not read music. Barry said since they never had music training they did not know they were not suppose to hit certain notes .Barry said when they got to the studio they would decide how many songs they would write that day. There is a video on You tube showing how they made Tragedy. The Musicians that were hired that day that discovered their was no sheet for the music or Lyrics. They called their agent and were told that was how the Bee Gees worked. Sure enough the Bee Gees got the sound they wanted and wrote the Lyrics and the Bee Gees had everything completed that day'
They did a lot of stuff after disco died, but they couldn’t sell in the US because of the huge anti-disco weirdness going on, even though they changed their sound. Super sad because they have always been incredible songwriters and performers. I’ve always loved “Tragedy “
My favorite album Still Waters. Give it a listen. All three share leads. It's hard to find Maurice led songs. Good videos are Closer Than Close, This is Where I Came In, and Man in the Middle.
"ONE" (official video, filmed in the UK...) was a huge track, released in 1989 - it charted at #1 for eight weeks in a row. As always, a great reaction my friend!💕
The 80s had great beegees songs but the 90s were just as good if not better. Songs like Alone, For Whom The Bell Tolls, etc. Even their final album This is where I came in has many great songs you really need to hear. They had top top albums in 5 decades.
The making of the song “Tragedy” is a fun behind the scenes watch and is easy to find with a search of UA-cam. The Bee Gees documentary that was released in December on HBO is great and is called “How Do You Mend a Broken Heart.”
I love everything they do but this is my absolute favorite. That beat goin on, Barry singing in his natural voice. The eighties were my favorite for all music. Everything was real, no autotune anything. Real structure, they wrote everything, even the guitar solos. That group was one of the best. Something you didn't know: they were the ONLY group to have 5 (FIVE) in the TOP TEN at the same time!! Everyone said that they OWNED the charts. They did. Even Michael Jackson and the Beatles never did that. It's in the Guiness Book. Those guys had it goin on. They wrote everything and wrote for other artists as well. Those songs were all top ten hits. Even Barbra Streisand got in on the action and did a duet with Barry. Funny huh.! Justin Bieber, eat your heart out. The wrote a huge hit for Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers. I still laugh when kids try to compare the big time eighties groups to todays. That is a joke. We were lucky to be there during that time. The music industry is gone now. My favorite expression for today. "It ain't what it used to was..."
Best doco I've ever seen was from the Biography series and just called Biography Bee Gees. Lots of info and history too. 80s to 1990 songs...try Secret Love, Bodyguard,, Don't Fall in love with me, Wish you were here...especially tribute to deceased brothers versions. Also One, When He's Gone. 90s was bigger for them.
Barry said he woke up hearing a bit of YOU WIN AGAIN, then went to Maurice’s home studio, they used what they found laying around in his garage to make the stomp track and laid down the demo. Kind of a medieval stalker theme. One of the best things you can do to learn about the Bee Gees would be to react to BEE GEES 1960. Copyright might pull it down, but the most recent documentary BEE GEES HOW CAN YOU MEND A BROKEN HEART is great. Also, highly recommend Bee Gees Interview 2001 by JoxerElpoderoso, which focuses on songwriting and discusses losing Andy, etc.. Maurice opens up about getting sober in FIGHTING BACK. 80’s song recommendation.... IT’S MY NEIGHBORHOOD.... was written for MJ, but he wrote and recorded Bad instead, so they put it in their next album. You may be able to find a live performance from a concert to react to.
This is right up there with my favorite Brothers Gibb songs. What caught me when I first heard this song way TOO long ago 😆was that killer drum beat which kicks off this song and doesn’t stop throughout. It wasn’t until recently I read about how this song was born. According to Barry, it was that driving beat which I believe Maurice brought to the table and they loved it so much that they actually fought with the record company, or some business higher ups, who wanted that tamped down. The Gibbs refused to back down and it remained - thank goodness because it really does drive the song and of course the vocals 🙏 There is another song from around the same period called “One” which you might want to check out. However, there is a song and video which if I am not mistaken was the final one they did prior to Maurice passing which really caught me by surprise called “This Is Where I Came In” which you should definitely check out ua-cam.com/video/5a95WRSWvHA/v-deo.html
Heard an interview with BG, where he spoke of the writing process. Title first, melody, then text. He apparently thought of this title/melody when asleep one night and got up for his pen and notepad so he wouldn't forget it.
This is one of my favorite Bee Gees songs. Great to see you react to it! I'd like to suggest "Shape Of Things To Come" which is kind of a little known Bee Gees song from the 1988 Summer Olympics Album.
It's a great song In my Top 20 but my Top 5 is: 1967 Massachusetts 1969 Lamplight 1972 My world 1974 Mr Natural 1975 Nights on Broadway (before the era disco) You could choose one of this list to react
For 80s and 90s Bee Gees, I'd choose "For whom the bell tolls", "Ordinary people", "Secret love", "Paying the price of love", "When he's gone", He's a liar" (funny videoclip), "One", just to name a few. Also, check out Robin Gibb solo "Boys do fall in love" (from 1984, very new wave).
The Bee Gees will write to the sound and will not deviate from the music. They explain this in the documentary ‘Keppel Road’ during a song they were writing (not completed yet) called ‘Just Incase’. It was released on the ‘This Is Where I Came In’ also a song . Bee Gees are geniuses.
If you look back at the 1980s you only witness what actually stood the test of time until now. The stuff that was left in that decade - and rightfully so - has been forgotten and you wouldn't be aware of it. When I was ten - which was in the late 1980s, you could have woken me up in the middle of the night and I could have listed you at least a dozen reasons why there was no chance I was going to see the year 2000. Nuclear war, a nuclear powerplant melting down, the radioactive materials melting down into the planet's core to create a supervolcano that would erradicate all life, industrial smoke blacking out the sun, the ozone layer braking down an UV-radiation rendering the surface of the Earth uninhabitable, the Earth running out of oxigen because the rainforests were being cut or burned down.
This is one of my top favs of the Bee Gees ! Some more of their '80's hits to check out are 'ONE' and "I Wish You Were Here' ; the album which these songs came from came out after their youngest brother Andy Gibb died. Great album !
Andy Gibb DID NOT die from an overdose.....his autopsy showed he was clean no drugs in his system....Andy died from Miocarditis....it is an infection of the sack that surrounds the heart....Andy was born with a bad heart. Please get your facts straight.
There is a video of the demo of the song “Just in Case” that shows them and their writing process. Also on UA-cam is a fun video of the making of the video for “This is Where I Came In” a song released in 2001.
To me, the best documentary about the Bee Gees is the one called "This is where I came in" although it is from 2001, twenty years old. Here's the link ua-cam.com/video/RYH3EYaRSqU/v-deo.html

@Karter Morgan Flixportal :D
@Immanuel Hassan thank you, I signed up and it seems to work :) I really appreciate it!
@Karter Morgan Glad I could help xD
Can't pick just one so I have to say all of them! The Bee Gees are the GREATEST group to EVER grace the music world......There will NEVER be ANOTHER group like them.....EVER AGAIN!! 💜
Each decade a different genre❤
Robins "Oh girl" gets me everytime. ❤️
Baby your generation has missed all the good music from back in the day. I was born in 1955. I lived through all the good stuff. The Bee Gees wrote all their songs first and then they added the music to it which is opposite of what most song writrers do.Amazing talennt.

Alone and One. Numbers 1 both
This song actually came to Barry in his sleep. He had to write it down before he went back to sleep.
Recorder and a pen made this song possible. It woke him during the night.
Favorite 80's song for me is "One" official video. From the 90's my favorite is For Whom the Bell Tolls, official video.
I really like your opinion on this song
EARLY BeeGees (60's) is the best! "Words" is my favorite. But anything they do is great. Thank you for this reaction.
Love them ♥️♥️
70/80s unbeatable!!!!
My favourite 80s track...when it gets played on the radio still sounds amazing...
I gave birth to the song one by Bee Gees it was released in 89.
The hook came to Barry in his sleep. He had to find batteries quickly before he lost it.
Next morning, they went and recorded the song
1980's songs, One 1989, Body Guard 1989, Alone 1987 and For Whom the Bell Tolls 1993
Great song. I also love their 1997 hit Alone.
One of them gets an ideas, Maurice punches it out on the piano, then they finish the tune. Then they write the lyrics that they want to go with the music. They never deviate from the melody they have written down. Whosever idea it was for the song, is the one that sings lead on it.
They've written and produced so many great songs for themselves and others. Of their later songs this is a favorite.
🔥 🔥
If you want to see more in detail how they write songs, Check out the video of them putting "Just in case" together ;)
🎶 "Jive Talking" 👍
I think if you had experienced the 60s you would want no other. For me, things started to go downhill from the mid 70s The 60s were MAGICAL
They're lyrics is literally poetry
This song is great. Certainly among their best songs (To Love Somebody, For Whom the Bell Tolls, Alone the three others - all non disco). I have that same coffee cup.
This song hasn't been reviewed much but it is one of my favorites. I love Berry's voice in this song.
Barry has said in an interview that they usually write the music first and then add the words. That is the way they wrote their songs.
I Love this song!!!❤️
My FAVORITE BeeGees song, hands down!

Hi thank you for keeping the Bee Gees alive.
Try. The woman in you 1983
ESP 1987
Ordinary lives 1989
He's a list 1981
Take care.
bee gees woman in you
Their music will live on forever! Watch Closer than close, Maurice sings lead!
They did a lot of stuff after disco died, but they couldn’t sell in the US because of the huge anti-disco weirdness going on, even though they changed their sound. Super sad because they have always been incredible songwriters and performers. I’ve always loved “Tragedy “
Robin and Mo fraternal twins, Barry big brother so they are naturally 'together'. They wrote everything they sing. Wow!
My favourite BeeGees song
My favorite album Still Waters. Give it a listen. All three share leads. It's hard to find Maurice led songs. Good videos are Closer Than Close, This is Where I Came In, and Man in the Middle.
"ONE" (official video, filmed in the UK...) was a huge track, released in 1989 - it charted at #1 for eight weeks in a row.
As always, a great reaction my friend!💕
bee gees secret love
The Bee Gee documentary is back. I haven't viewed it, but I have seen the thumbnail.
'For whom the bell tolls'!

From the same album as this rocker, listen to "Ordinary Lives" and "One", a couple of terrific Bee Gees hits.
I love everything they do but this is my absolute favorite. That beat goin on, Barry singing in his natural voice. The eighties were my favorite for all music. “First Of May” is a great Bee Gees Song. It was one of their first hit records.
The 80’s was my entire high school career and three years of college... you’re right, it was awesome!
"Bodyguard","You stepped into my life",.The 60s was great ,but the 70s and 80s was the best .
I think they said in an interview that they get the melody first, Barry once said the music and songs just come to him.
They have a lot of different sounds. Check out Kiss of Life, Bodyguard, Wish You Were Here, One...
Best doco I've ever seen was from the Biography series and just called Biography Bee Gees. Lots of info and history too. 80s to 1990 songs...try Secret Love, Bodyguard,, Don't Fall in love with me, Wish you were here...especially tribute to deceased brothers versions. 'Keppel road' is also a great documentary about the Bees Gees.
Great song~~~ 80's Bee Gees! For more 80's Bee Gees try "This is Your Life" "One" "Tokyo Nights" (for more of Robin) "House of Shame" (for more of Mo)
@FortWorthFabian another really good watch is Barry Gibb on Piers Morgan from February 2017. It is a super honest and insightful interview with clips.
Barry said he woke up hearing a bit of YOU WIN AGAIN, then went to Maurice’s home studio, they used what they found laying around in his garage to make the stomp track and laid down the demo. Alone”, is later has behind the scenes. Man in the Middle”, Maurice takes the lead. 🤘🏼🔥

They come up with the melody first. That was Maurice's particular genius. Then the wrote the words to fit the music.
'Shape of things to come' is a great track. I have requested it on numerous channels but no-one has done it so far. I wish they would...
It's a great song
In my Top 20
but my Top 5 is:
1967 Massachusetts
1969 Lamplight
1972 My world
1974 Mr Natural
1975 Nights on Broadway
(before the era disco)
You could choose one of this list to react

There is a documentary on HBO about the lives of the Bee Gee's. It's called How do you Mend a Broken Heart. Great information.

Very good!! React LIVE OR DIE BEE GEES...

Patty-There is a video where they demonstrate their process. The song is Just in Case. I'm not sure which album its on.
a bit of an off the wall song that not many people have heard is Ace of Base, Happy Nation, check it out!
This is one of my top favs of the Bee Gees ! Some more of their '80's hits to check out are 'ONE' and "I Wish You Were Here' ; the album which these songs came from came out after their youngest brother Andy Gibb died. Great album !
